Pterostychus: The Never Ending Story, Now Jack Herer

Only a couple differences between photos and autos the way I see it.

1. You are in the drivers seat with photos. Autos are in the drivers seat

2. Less flexibility with light on photos. The autos can be grown under virtually any light conditions. You will need specific set ups for the photos.

3. Grow em as big or small as you want. Very easy to change plans with photos. Not so much with autos.

Having said that, I like to be in control when possible. I like to try to get the plant to the size I think I want it before flipping. Photos give me lots of flexibility in size and timing.

Autos give you flexibility in what you want to do with lighting. I must have moved my auto back and forth from 18/6 to 12/12 ten times or so during the course of its grow. Nice flexibility to have without worrying about light stress.
yea but i am in constant fear with photos for hermies as they arent very forgiving with lightschedules

Your light schedule isn't wacky! Just get strains that don't show a tendency to hermie.
my second grow ever my photo NL5 hermied like crap and yielded 17g my next was a blue dream auto that netted me 85g in soil with alga nutes .... its not hard to see why im hooked on autos lol ... but yea some day i will switch to photos ... much more choice in that gamma

i started the harvest ... althouh i had to stop cuz i was stinking up the place, see the missus and mini-me are home so ... anyway ....
but i have bad news ... i found 2 fat colas infected with budrot .... its gonna cost me 1/4 to 1/2 zip... if i dont find any more ...

half a plant cut so far

i quickly finished cutting one plant ... ive found more budrot but all in all its not to bad .... so i manually plucked most waterleafs from these branches .... in an hour ill hang them will prob go for a dry trim .... less smelly that way ;)

harvest is as good as done ... the second plant had a lot more larf bizarrely ... still a decent pile
anyone with experience wanna make a guess on the dry weight ... it still early but trained eyes may have an idea ...
also there is a pic where there are some torn buds ... its what i could save from the buds affected by budrot....

Wow Pt! Nice harvest! Looked like a lot rightside up so it's gonna look like a lot upside down as well ;). Sorry about the bud rot, but doesn't look too extensive. Do you make topical oil? Now would be the time to start...works great and nothing wasted. Lemme know if you want details. Freeze those for now while you decide what to do with them. You don't need to disinfect the buds to use them for topical oil.

Were the budrot buds in a specific place where it was dense and the fans couldn't reach? The RH did get up there for a while earlier this month.

Still, excellent work. :welldone:
