ProfessorFlora's 10 Strain 200W LED Organic Soil Grow

Hey 420! I missed yesterday's update for various uninteresting reasons but we are back again. It's day 37 on the flowering clock so we are Around halfway through the cycle. I've been going back over my previous diary and comparing the plants we see how they stand up to each other on days 31-37 and I don't think that these have been slowed by the previous issues. These babies stand up to the hydro plants pretty well I think. The temps have risen a lot over the last 48 hour and at night it's now 16C which I'm happy with. During lights on it's still only 24C so no problems there. Here's what we have today....

Part 2 coming soon....

Congrats on the new babies Professor! Is that just dirt stuffed into the plastic? Do they have to get rootbound before you can get them out? I haven't seen that germination method before.
It's just what you'd do with tomato seeds. Now I have the coice of either just simple pulling the seedlings out by the stem or as there are only 2 i can cup them carefully with my and hand turn the tray upside down. Not the best option for a full tray. I did it because I wanted to pop the seeds but my soil hadn't arrived yet. I don't like the paper towel method. I think that it adds unnecessary room for error and to me it just seems easier to put the seed straight into soil. For hydro I'd use starter plugs

Overall I'm pretty happy with what's been achieved here so far but there are a few things that could be better. The lighting coverage while great in veg but not so much in flower. I think 4 lower powered units would have been better. Then have them in each corner rather than having 3 lights across the middle. But I have what I have and for now it shall have to do. I think that I could have squeezed in a couple more colas on the plants but I don't think it was a bad attempt at filling the tent sensibly. The defol sessions have worked like a charm though and all the plants seem to have performed well after their trims. There is still light hitting the pots in most places as well. I'll be giving them all another much lighter trim over the course of the next week....

lol don't worry bud. I saw your post and though "Ah, go on then". I'm looking forward to this. Good luck with the Zkittles
We knew it was coming, so I’m not too surprised. ;) But very excited!! Congrats on the new bebes Professor! They look like they’re off to a smashing start! :yahoo::high-five:

So nice to see the frost marching down the length of the sugar leaves. Makes trimming that much more worthwhile!

I'm much more conservative when I take leaves, based on the theory that any light hitting the pots is light that should be hitting a leaf. Why waste perfectly good (paid-for) photons? Though lately it seems I don't have a lot of company in that theory .

Looking frosty!
Looking great!

Excellent work prof! Glad to see the new seedlings up and about!
I couldn't resist. I want these plants to be much bigger so they had to go as soon as possible as I don't like having no flowering plant lol thanks Dutch

Thanks HH. Just got to get them into some pots now then we're off. Can't wait to get the cloner out of the way so I can have more room for the new round off plants :)

I can be pretty brutal sometimes but it's only because I don't have a lot of space. I completely agree with the wasted photons part but does stuffing more plants in the space created not compensate? These will swell quite a bit more yet so I don't think it'll be so bright down there nearer the end? On my next grow I'll be much kinder as I'll have the space for it
