ProfessorFlora's 10 Strain 200W LED Organic Soil Grow

I think i read somewhere that i can dilute fishmix down but i may just get a seaweed extract spray, yeah iv always grown in coco and i spent a fortune on my grows, at one point i had 9 synthetic nutrients in boosting oils and yield but now im in soil im all about the taste, doesnt matter how many weeks you flush after using all them nutes i was never getting a true bud taste but now with the help from you and others i think ill have some nice tasty treats :D.
 
There's a bit of a debate going on at the moment about wether or not heavy flushing or even flushing at all benefits buds after harvest. On my previous Grow I used a recirculating dripper system with clay pebbles and Canna base nutrients with no flushing at the end. I didn't go mad with the nutrients and kept them on the low side for the entire grow. I've just finished harvesting that grow and have only really sampled a bit of the Glue that's been curing for just under a week. It tastes great considering. I had a teeny weeny bit of Critical+2.0 and it was really fruity. That ones still not completely dry yet though. I didn't notice any horrible tastes or anything like that though. I'll know more after I cure them for a couple weeks.

Y big problem with flushing is robbing the plant of food and energy during the last 2 weeks. Even if the plant draws on its reserves I can't think that's enough when the plants are building the most weight.

I used to think that plants should be all tatty and rough looking by harvest time but I've learnt that Some plants don't even fade at all. Quite a few of my plant in the last round were healthy and green right to the end. Only 2 out of 10 had any fade of discolouration at the end

So far I've eaten 3 chocolate bars, smoked a joint and been on 420...best year ever! :)
 
The only reason i flushed was due to being in coco and 9 synthetic nutes deep if i didnt flush at all at harvest the buds would just not burn what so ever, 3 weeks flush was the most and even then i could still taste horrible tastes, iv ran coco base nutes light and it was okay like you said, but iv always been a worrier so constantly worrying "is there enough bad out yet" was always playing on my mind this is why when i tasted a friends organic grow the other week i was gobsmacked at the difference, just plucked, 3 days drying and wow, flavours for days with so much creamy thick smoke blew my mind i can tell you that for sure!

But knowing i can grow with fully organic nutes i can chop when ever i feel without worrying about a flush will be a massive weight of my mind this year!

With this grow I'm not even going to water to runoff. Everything that goes in stays in. I can really see a difference already with the ladies. The hydro plants can sometimes look too green and perfect. With soil growing they look like they have more character and I guess the word is natural. Well today's the day they go into flower so I'll be back in a bit with pics of the carnage! Cheers HTH
 
Hey 420! Well,what a start to the year. Since I've gotten up I've disassembled a tent, scrubbed it and all the associated equipment and moved it into the spare room to set up the next adventure! It's taken all day so far and I'm not quite finished yet. Just tinkering with ventilation and light positioning plus I'll be giving the ladies there final trim before flower. I must say that it's been annoying as hell but discipline is essential in this hobby, starting with a clean enviroment to work in is a must for me. To Celebrate @Dutchman1990 MOTM win I've cleaned my fan! There you go! Now more zooming in for you lol. One more little thing....I'll explain it with pics....

This morning when I awoke it looked like this....

I was going to originally grow 10 strains in my 2x4 tent like the last grow but they're huge and it seems a waste to trim so much off them to make them fit. Instead I'll be growing 9 in the 3x3 and only 6 in the 2x4....

I removed Double Stuffed Sorbet and added her to Snuffler's crew in this tent....

Lol, in fact I've cleaned 2 fans today! That's how much motivation you've given me! I has having a long hard think about using the 2x4 and it just seemed insane even by my standards lol. Problem is though now this journals title is very misleading. It should be something more like....

Oh well, that's evolution for ya.

Haha thanks again Prof! It was an extreme neck and neck the entire month and it’s a true honour to have been chosen! I won’t let the community down!
