ProfessorFlora's 10 Strain 200W LED Organic Soil Grow

"DO NOT soak or store any pH probes in purified water like distilled water, deionized water, or reverse osmosis water since it could cause damage to the pH electrode and the tester could give erratic readings. Rinsing the probes in purified water is a good practice. Just don't store them in purified water. If you accidentally store the probe in purified water, try storing the probe in 3M KCL storage solution for 48 hours and see if the tester can perform in a normal state."

Exactly what Shed said. For some reason there is information floating around that keeping ph pens in distilled water is ok but it’s definitely not. You can use storage solution but a great tip I got from the lad who works at my local hydro store is to use this.

He said it’s perfect for storage and you can keep an eye on the calibration daily. I’ve used it for years now and on the same pen!

Looking better
What was cool I got to watch it fill in the green .

! Went to the out Building three times a day while it was doing its thing . Ph 5.6-5.8 solved it noticed in the tent grow it took longer to solve so I dropped it to 5.6 and it took off faster !

Thanks for the shout on the pen guys. In the future I'll either get a decent pen and look after it properly or just use cheap ones like I did before and buy new one a couple times a year. I'm still not sure that the pen is the problem though. Because I know the ph of my tap water I can gauge roughly how accurate the pen is. The tap water is coming in at 7.3 which is about right. If I drop a couple drops of lemon juice in a cup of water it goes down to around 6.8 which again is normal. Then if I put in half a teaspoon of bicarb it puts it back up to the 7 mark. The pen seems to be ok though I obviously can't be certain. The ph is still climbing in the res very quickly so later I'm going to change to MasterBlend and observe that for a few days. If there's no change then I'll go back to MC and try something else. So far I've removed the H2O2 and put the nutes back down to 5g per gallon. I increased the MC to 6g as originally I thought that the plants were hungry. Time to go and see if I can sneak away and try to fix them again.

Hey 420. Last night I changed the Wilma res and refilled it with MasterBlend to see if there is any difference. I checked the res this morning and it had risen but not by as much. I set it last night at 5.5 and this morning it was 5.9. The plants look better than they did yesterday already and look a little more alert. We'll see how this goes for a couple of days and then reassess the situation again. I'm just hoping I can turn them around soon....

Time for a nicer update with some pics which are easier on the eye. The plants in the cupboard are all doing well. The clones are all beginning to show signs that roots are on the way. Shouldn't be too much longer for them. They all look good still so happy days. The new Exotic Genetix seedlings are all healthy and it looks like there'll be a bit of variety between them. For now we're just gonna leave them alone and let them grow to a size where they can be cloned. Then we'll repeat what we did with the Hashplant D's and see what we get from them. Speaking of Hashplant D's. They're all looking pretty good will be ready for flower soon. I have a couple favourites I like the look of which I'm sure will now be male because of that lol. Everything else is good. Original mothers are healthy and growing. I'm now 106% sure that the HPD in here is a male so I'll be able to chuck that one shortly. So there you have it. Only a few days left before we have another flip to flower so things will start to get a bit more interesting again shortly. Hope everyone's doing well and getting ready for the new year. Whatever that means lol. Happy growing everyone....

Original mothers. The Purple Trainwreck doesn't seem as vigorous as it was previously. I'm sure it'll fire up again. Fat Purple is definitely a purple plant. Her stems and calyxes have some deep purple shades to them. Lil HH is back! Oh what fun times we had. I forgot to mention that the Pineapple Express has gone to a better place and by that I mean she's not in my torturous hands anymore. She didn't go gift wrapped though....

Exotic Genetix seedlings. I both love and hate this part. Just have to be patient....

What a roller coaster of a catch up!! That lil HH sure puts up with more than original HH (me) would have! :laughtwo: Great work trying to save everyone. So excited to watch those Exotic Genetix, the wonka bars and the cross with cookies and cream and mint chocolate chip is the other I was excited about. I’ve tried the mint chocolate chip on its own and liked it well. Good luck with resolving the ph on that Wilma, I know you’ll get it worked out!!!

Lol. There's been a few things happening around here recently but soon it'll calm down a little. There's a new plan which I'll go into tomorrow but it does mean I'll lose the 3x3 tent. I'm super duper excited about the EG strains. At this point I'm not sure which one to go with. They all sound so nice. Thanks HH. I'm sure we'll sort this mess out one way or another
:passitleft:
Remind me of the advantages of the Wilma system again? You seem to do just fine with a random mix of solid substrates!
I'll look for the manual and let you know shortly. My soil adventure seems to be going pretty well at the moment. I'm not sure which one has been my favourite. I liked the john innes no.3 which I grew the Os and GZ in. It felt more natural and had a baked clay look when it dried. Plus it was full of quartz so it looked bling AF

Today is the last day of veg for the Hashplant D's. I really didn't want to flower them under those Roleadro 400w Cobs as I'm sure they're on their way out. The floodlights which I use for veg I don't think would do great in the flowering department. I could use them for a bit extra coverage but I wouldn't want to rely solely on them for any decent yeild. So I went shopping and got myself a new light....

Now I know what you're thinking. Why didn't you go with Mars as they are a sponsor and the simple answer is that this one was a lot cheaper. I got this from a sale and it was a display item meaning that it was even cheaper. It was about £50 cheaper than the TS1000 so I really couldn't turn it down. So I shall refer to this one as my quantum board in the future for ease....

Congrats on the new light. You'll love qbs.
Go baby hash plants!:slide:
I needed a decent and cool running light for my new plan. It's only a 100w unit but it covers this little tent perfectly and that's what I need right now. I didn't trust those old blurple Cobs anymore and they get pretty hot with both running. Now I'm happy that the Hashplant D's will have a good chance at showing us what they're capable of.
