Problems with clones

i have a few clones from nirvana white widow, spliff blue berry, and world of seeds ak x ww that seem to be having problems. i pulled them out of the humidity about a week ago and growth seems to have slowed if not stopped and leaves look to be showing some deficiencies that i dont have the experience to diagnose. the medium is miracle grow seed starting mix which ive used several times before with no problems. after pulling out of humidity i let them sit under the 15w fluorescent for about a day before putting them under my 400w digital MH running at 50% with the light about 10-12" from the tops. temps never get above 80 deg for veg area but has been getting cold especially with the cold snap we had recently. ive used the same process for other clones and havent had any problems so im not sure whats going on but i did have a couple other ladies that had a similar problem and never made it to flower bc they seemed to never pull out of whatever was going on with them. the pic of the single plant by itself was one of the other clones that never took off and had similar problems.

It's great to have you join us in the forums. I just wanted to say :welcome:

I'm sure the experts will be here soon to answer your questions :thumb:

:peacetwo:Looks like your soil maybe a little hot for your young clones,I know you say you use the same process without problems but young clones are sensitive and need very little nutrients wait around and see what others say but if it was me I would get them out of that MiracleGrow soil or at least give it a good flush
Good luck

Hey Squatch:)

Sorry I'm not qualified to answer your problem, but I will ask around for you!

Welcome to :420: It's a great place to be, and it can take a minute to get rolling, but you will gain momentum!

Good luck buddy, we'll get it sorted! :bong:

HI Squatch420, and :welcome:
The first pics look like heat stress or light burn to me. It seems to only be on the tops of the plants. The light may very well have been too close, or too hot for them. Have you got anything to direct the heat away from them, a fan or anything?
If you place your hand just above the plants under the light, see if your hand gets uncomfortable from the heat. If it does, your light is too close and you need to draw the heat away.
I'm not really sure on that last pic, appears the whole plant is yellowed, so we'll see what everyone else says based on your information.
How often are you watering and what kind of water? PH okay on the water?
The above links posted by Highpotanoose are excellent problem solvers, be sure to read through those when you have time!

Hey thanks guys.. this has got to be one of tge best hobbies ever.. lol

Ill move the light off a little and see if it helps.. I use tap water but usually ph to about 6.5 (comes out about 7.4 from the tap).. There is a fan blowing directly on the bulb and the 400w is only running at 50%.. the fan also provides a decent breeze across the girls.. I water minimally daily(or wait til top of soil is dry) and give nutes to the big girls every 4-5 days..

Okay, see if it helps to move that light up a bit. I am also running a 400w HPS and I found that 12" was too close. I have it up to about 16" now, and the plants are reacting well.
Not sure what else it could be, so we will see what others think too. :thumb:

Mmm more likely a touch of stress...

Seeing that they where removed from a high humidity/warm environment & then having to endure a cold snap more than likely the night time temps where not suitable or fell below 15c/16c or 59f/60f which may of induced plant stress ?

I would be inclined to place them back under the humidity dome & apply a foliar feed for the time being & would be tempted to discover what your night time/lights off temps are in the grow area !

The cold snap went away and I raised the lights about the same time so im not sure but one or both could have been factors I guess.. theyre all showing new green growth now so I put them in different cups to keep the lights off the roots but they seem to be doing great.. im still pretty inexperienced and I dont really have a green thumb but im workin on it.. lol I do appreciate you guys help in figuring things out though..

Good for you Squatch! You'll get it figured out man. The main thing is to not react hastily. Stay calm and read as much as you can about whatever it is you are trying to solve before you do anything. I've been told by much more experienced growers than I, that most new growers kill their plants with kindness. Just take it one step at a time and let the plant do most of the work. I think you'll hit your stride with these girls very soon:)

Lol well I freakin hope so.. I did kill off 4 ladies about 2 months old and several weeks into flower bc I couldn't spot the ph problem soon enough.. was using miracle grow potting soil at the time so its not really surprising knowing what I know now.. hated having to cut and throw them away but they were too far gone to save.. :( been trying to get on a schedule for a SOG type setup just cant get the conditions right to keep them healthy through veg/flower cycles.. I actually have 11 ladies in flower right now and I dont think but a few of them are honestly 100% comfy for various reasons ranging from heat in the flower tent to nutrient deficiency starting in veg and continuing into flowering.. im only growing the strains mentioned in the OP but I also have some bag seeds started from some "mid" I had before.. the same bag seeds were the ones I originally grew and turned out at least twice as good as the "premium" seeds I have now.. I think im going back to groing the same strain of bag seeds since the original practice batch came out so well and its mostly indica judging from the leaves which is my favorite.. lol the other strains seem to stretch and have the longer thinner leaves like sativas and im a huge fan of the narcotic feeling if indicas bc of my back pain..

please excuse rambling and nonsense.. lol

I use peat moss, perlite, vermiculite and mycorrhizae for my plants. I would mix your soiless mixture in a ratio of 60% peat moss, 20% perlite and 20% vermiculite. If you can get Pro-Mix HP you would only need to add vermiculite and mycorrhizae. I use General Hydroponics Flora series 3 part nutrients that can be mixed for all stages of vegetative growth and flowering. General Hydroponics Flora series can be used with hydroponic, soil and soiless mediums.
