the pres. is not the key to anything. there are 545 people who run this country. 435 in the house, 100 in the senate, 9 supreme court justices & the pres. (white house staff & other idiots brought in be the pres.). we elect all but 9 of them. now, if there is a problem, who's fault is it? the media badgers to death anyone that dares to enter the political arena, until nobody of any substance wants the offices & u can't blame them.
