This Cannabis Afghanica reveg seems to be doing pretty well under this 315w CMH:
I tried to zoom in on that last pic too much it's blurred
I should be able to tell pretty easy if this Ghost Train Haze #1 clone does better under it too:

Here's the main flower on my 600w HPS Tikal plant (I'll be transplanting both to a 3 gallon pot soon):
If that other GTH#1 main cola I'm growing under the 315w CMH is as thick as this one I'm growing under a 600w HPS, I'll be convinced:
Heat stress at the top of this Nevil's Haze, and I should have put it in a bigger pot (it's in a 2 gallon pot). Otherwise, it looks pretty good:

Does that CMH put out enough heat to warm up the room ok? If it can replace a 600w I’ll probably replace at least one of mine.
My Chocolope clones in veg grow a bit like a reveg. I’m taking my cuttings during veg. Not sure why but every clone I’ve ever taken grows up with a funny looking single-stemmed structure - very little branching and a bunch of single and triple-bladed leaves. I’m peering at yours but it looks normal.
I like the high but the speediness gets to me after awhile. I’m leaving the current one extra long to see if that mellows it out a little.

In a 3' x 3' x 7' tent with an air cooled light reflector, I was running on average of 80F-83F temps with the 600w HPS. In the same tent and under the same conditions with the 315w CMH I'm running 78F-81F, so expect to run a few degrees cooler if you switch over.
If it even does as well as my 400w HPS, I'll be okay with it. Just not okay enough to replace my 600w HPS with one.

I wish there was some speediness to the buzz with this Chocolope I got; mushrooms are gonna be walkin' by the time I get the yard work done around here..... 
Note - All five Headbanger f1 seeds are opened up and in the soil, along with one JTR x GDP and a Raspberry Cough fem seed. The rest are starting to open up, too.

Maybe I'll do me another seed order in the next month or so and add that one; it's been mentioned a few times over the years. I'm smoking me a Chocolope blunt right now, speak of the devil.

If your anything like me, amphetamines will sit you on your ass. 'i feel awesome, I'm going to have more'' . theres that line between the effect and the amount consumed that keeps getting crossed over...
Yeah maybe that’s it. I usually go pretty light with my smoking or things go off the rails in one way or another and it interferes with my workahol consumption. I found with the Chocolope I’d end up working all day and still be going in circles chasing my tail at midnight- ‘just one more thing’ when all I wanted to do was relax for ten minutes.
I gave a bunch to my brother who’s a lot more chronic than me and he said if he smoked too much things kinda ground to a halt after a while. So probably I just haven’t been smoking enough

I'm pretty sure there's a lot of variation in how each of us reacts to a particular mix of cannabinoids, but I can be thick headed and lazy and Carnival will usually perk me up and clear my head. In fact, I have to switch to something else late at night, or I don't get sleepy.
It's not as extreme as I make it sound, but I haven't had another strain, except maybe Oldtimer's, that had that clearing effect. Many strains are bright and clear with no crash in the fade, but none of them act like a cup of coffee, like Carnival.

I smoke too much is probably the problem. They all seem like they have the same buzz, just some are better than others. If I smoke a good size blunt of it and laugh a lot or can't do simple $hit, that one's a keeper!
Oh, I forgot to mention that Headbanger is a cross between Sour Diesel and Biker Kush (Biker Kush is Hells Angel OG x Lucifer OG). Might have a hair or two on its a$$.....

Last run I had Sour Angel. She's bred by In House Genetics and is Sour Dubb crossed with a Hell's Angel OG. Sour Dubb (or Sour Dubble) is is thought to be a cross of East Coast Sour Diesel and Sour Bubble. In any event it was a heavy hitter on the front end. I was pretty high before I exhaled. I wobbled a bit later.Oh, I forgot to mention that Headbanger is a cross between Sour Diesel and Biker Kush (Biker Kush is Hells Angel OG x Lucifer OG). Might have a hair or two on its a$$.....
Maybe I'll get a jar out tomorrow and test it again.

I just pulled it out from under my 600w HPS. I'm gonna take my chances and put it under this 315w CMH to see if the flowers bloom any better. I'll look at it later tonight, and look at the other plants in the tent, but I see brown hairs so something might have a male flower or two. This one's been banged around a little too (trying to get the branches loose and into the light):
