Poor, CFL, Stealth, Maybe a Little Luck?

This is the best and most "in focus" shot I could get. Damn this phone..

For real, just get you a digital camera. A Sony Cybershot DSC-S90 goes for, at most, $50 on eBay. It's 4.1 Mega Pixel and has a Macro mode for the close-ups. You could even go cheaper and still get a decent camera. :grinjoint:

Thanks Yung Stikky, I think I might give it a try tomorrow or the day after, when she gets a tad bigger. MacMota, I have about $10 left to spend on this grow, and that's for nutes lol. I'm keeping my fingers crossed I get a job by the time I start flowering. But for now it's time to make some chinese chicken with rice, mmm. @Yung stikky

DFW-Guy, based on your list, you are much more thriftier than I...lol. We have 13 lamps installed, but only running 10, 7 in grow area 2 with the unknowns, and 6 in grow area 1. Grow area 2 has 5 of the 6500k and 2 of the 2700k bulds, while grow area 1 has 3 and 3. Grow area 1 has the germinating babies in it now and we are only running 3 of the 6500k bulbs. Seems to be working for now. I will keep an eye on your journal to be sure. Very interested in seeing how your schedule works out. Best wishes bro!

I'm still learning :)
Here's day 15 night pics.

damn man, i feel ya on bein out...*sing songs* "i get high, with a little help, from my friends"...lol..almost harvest time...gets rough sometimes, why can't the government just tax this shit and have like $0.99 stores for herb with mexi nuggs when were out...

Amen, brother. They should have some kinda donation/exchange system so when you grow some good ol' dirt weed you could take it to your bodega and get credits or something.

Haha, buy a ghost town off of ebay.
Morning pics:
Sidenote: Marie is about where Elsie was on day 12 or 13.

Edit: To help me combat heat issues I took out the 2700k light. Within seconds my temps dropped 2 degrees. I'll have to figure something out when it's time to flower.

Thanks Ms. Fox :xmas:
I cut a hole in the box so now I can have the side view I've long been missing :slide:
These will probably be my night pics, unless there's something unexpected that I just have to share.
Come look inside with me :smokin:

Do yall think my plants are short like I need them to be because of the strain or by keeping cfl's close?

Hmm good idea. I need to find something I can use as a shield and attach it to the light so nothing can touch it. [starts scrummaging threw junk]
Edit: I found an clear piece of plastic that, if I really needed to, I could attach and use to block the plants. Because I check on my plants so often I'll do without for now, but it's nice to have a plan ready :)

Edit Edit: Now that I think about it, I was having heat problems when running 3 lights. A large piece of plastic (not that thick though) attached below the lights would work as an insulator (help block the radiating heat) correct? Would a thick piece (1/8") of plexiglass be something to invest in?

its because youre keeping the cfls close. just be careful, put some chicken wire on it so the plant wont grow into the light.

hmm, that's a really good idea... :ganjamon:

I'm thinking the light would also have a problem passing through the plastic. :hmmm:

lol its clear. think plexiglass. Also I had a wonderful idea when browsing for plexiglass online (just now lol). I can affix a sheet of mirrored plexiglass above the lights and a clear sheet under them. The glass together would cost about $7. FYI the plexiglass would be spaced about 1" above and below the surface of the lights.
BTW for a visual, in one of the pics above you can see a threaded "bolt" pointing down that's part of the light fixture. These "bolts" are on the bottom and the top. I could put a hole in the glass and slip it onto the "bolt" then affix it w/ a nut. Easy huh?
