If everyone can list good products that can be used for all parts off the grow and are cheap that would be great for first timers on a budget.

from newts, lights, soils, rocks, pumps, fans, ducting, you name it.
everyone that has done a grow befor has probebly come up with a cheap good way off doing some part off it so let us in please.

If you could also put country, store name and price that would help people looking for things in there area, for safety purposes no need for city or town as most big buisnesses are country wide anyway.
If you want to list city or town thats up to you.

I hope we can get a really good list off products and prices going so new people can give this a try at minimum $$$$

New people looking at the items, they should all be good ideas and items to start out cheap but remember if you intend on doing it again and again then like most things quality costs money, untill then i hope everyone can show you some great ideas and prices to get your first learning experiance on the way.
To all those that list items thank you from me and all newbies that benafit from your knowledge and experiance, we all appretiate you shareing your kind bud ideas :)

I will list the first item
CFL,S are a good light at a very cheap price and easy to use.
they are not as good as your 400, 600, or 1000watt with balast systems but they will give you a very cheap solution to a first grow to see if growing is for you.
In the states they are located at a large amount off stores but the main country wide ones are lowes and other hardware stores.
price about 12 to 14 dollers each, i would reckomend 6 for 2 plants but a more experianced grower might be able to reckomend a better abount.
I just found them on sale at walgreens for $10 for 2 that means at 6 lights for veg and 6 for flower that means $60 for the whole lot. If you go on to bigger better lights you can then use them for around the sides or in the middle of your plants for extra light as they are also very cheap to run and don,t give off much heat. good luck

I found a 400w hps system with bulb for $109. My son bought it for me. I guess he thought it was cheaper than providing me with grass.

Walmart sells 4 packs of 100 watt equivalent Soft White CFL's (for flowering) for $8.

They have socket splitters for a buck, and socket kits for $4.

How many bulbs would you suggest using?

high am new grower but got all my stuff of ebay tent 1m by 1m squared 8 hole hydro full system and two 225 led lights for 300 euro as am in europe hope that helps and be careful if u buy from states as had to get new pump blew up as america is 120volts we are 240 didnt know bang lol

Check out this bad boy. It spreads the light evenly while it diffuses the light right under the bulb so you can move the lights closer without burning them getting in theory a bigger, better yield. $30 bucks

this is what it looks like outta the box

if you have an adjusta-wing there is a different style you would need, otherwise this is for standard lamp bases.

It may be the best $29.95 I've invested into my grow tent. :peace:

Well of course you can get it closer. I could get any light closer to the plant if I blocked part of my light from directly reaching it. I've never been a fan of light diffusers. Not now and not 6 years ago when a mod of mine tried to sell me the same idea you have. lol Sorry for being blunt but IMO if your having to block or redirect light for any reason just to get closer then your not really accomplishing a lot by using it. Think about it...redirected or blocked light means less lumens directly reaching the plants. how can that be a better option?
Just my opinion...

for ventilation try bathroom vent fans from $12 to $50 and dryer ducting (it's cheaper than regular flex air ducting. and also compost,

i only use them for vegg, then flower with the big guns...best product for spider mites ever FLORAMITE. someone posted this stuff a while ago when i was having mite problems. $20 for a vile of this wonderful stuff, completely got rid of the spider mite problem, only used 1/4 of it and havent had to open it again...FLORAMITE...itll kill those annoying bastards

CFL's bitches (Home Depot sells both specs)!!! Cheap and works well for my needs. T5's from Hydro Farm only cost around 30 or 40 bucks and theyre amazing and cool to the touch, just what the closet grower needs.
