SunPlusLED Q&A Forum

In there you'll find a link to their products where you can purchase them........Like I say, I paid $499 for my P6 a couple months back, they have however gone up in price since then, but it's still being sold cheaper......On amazon it's $749.99-$849.99, our sponsor is currently selling it for $619.99, so pretty big difference in cost

I feel like i hear about these on 420 mag a ton. When you search best Leds of 2017.... why does this one not come up? Are these better than kind leds and mars & california sun or whatever it is? Just curiius because im thinking about doing a half and half led and hps grow in a 10x10. Would one of these cover a 5x5 (or more likley for footspace atleast 4x4 area?)

They are better than the kind leds... it's tested and proven! PAR is top of the line. Watch the videos on YouTube of the dude that has ALL the top leds and tests them side by side

If I didn't already have 3 led units and I was able to choose between all the top leds I would hands down pick the optic 2, optic 4, or optic 6, aka sunplus pioneer 2,4,6 lol... and they are wayyy cheaper than kind and California solar

I too searched and read many reviews on LEDs for 2017 before I bought one, which I ended up being very unhappy with and by complete fluke just browsing around threads one day came across SunPlus thread, began looking into it and was completely blown away by it, bought one a few days after I found it and read up on it.........Why they never showed up may be because they're new, hadn't come out when most of the 2017 reviews were done, I think they're just starting to catch on now, which is why prices are starting to rise on them.... Personally I believe they put out much better numbers than California Lightworks and Kind LED, and at half the cost.......

Flowering a 4'x4' can be done, it just depends on what you're aiming for.......to get better PPFD on the outer limits of a 4'x4' grid means you need to have your light raised up higher than 36" for the canopy, which means sacrificing your PPFD on your main grid by a bit.....I've had my fixture around the 38"-42" since I've had it and my main grid is still pulling off 1000+ PPFD......I'd like to run 2 side by side @ 18" and pull off 1600+ PPFD on a 4'x4' table(could do a larger table with 2, I just say 4'x4' cause that's my space) and it'd still be cheaper then some of these California Light works nodels

There are a few review videos on youtube now for these, here's a link to one of them, there's one that does a side by side with the Kind LED too.. YouTube

What led did you go with at first. I run 3 different leds across ceiling in my 5x5 tent and just recently added the 100w CREE leds in the corners for supplemental light and I have to say I'm pretty happy considering this is my first serious grow

There is a YouTube video that does side by side kind, optic, solar cal, viparspectra, mars, and a few others. The guy must get paid to test them cuz he has like $100,000 in led grow lights lol

It was a King Plus "1800w", was a blurple ufo....I went based on their PPFD #'s they had listed, but when I got the unit and measured the PPFD with my meter, it wasn't even close to what they stated...so I continued my search lol

Ahh... weren't all the early leds blurple? How much did the 1800w king plus cost? If I get another it will def be the sunplus. Most likely the sunplus 2 since I already have 3 decent leds. Advanced platinum also puts out a good product and obviously kind and Cali solar but they are all expensive. The cobs are def the way to go and they are even cheaper in price so it's a win win. Harvesting question- will buds be ready to harvest when calyxes are 70-90% orange and folded into bud? I have a magnifying glass with a 4x that does a decent job. I can see the trichomes and heads on t richomes it's just annoying to use

The King Plus was $325....I lent it to a friend to use, it would serve ok in a veg tent if I can ever get one, but it's just your basic blurple, nothing special, pulls 325w from the wall

I'm not as far along as you in my grow so not too sure about harvesting, I've been told don't worry about the pistil color, just focus on the trichs alone, some strains will remain white pistils through and through

Fuck then my other plant is prob ready to chop then. That's been in flower for 3-4 weeks before my other girl (in pics) as it autoflowered when I was still vegging. I call it a runt because it has been funky and very slow growth from sprout.

these 2 plants are exactly the same age and grown under the exact same conditions lol. That runt sprouted with some disease or something because it was never right from sprout! I also had two 5 gallon DWC buckets set up but both ended up being males!!! SMH They were beautiful! MY SOIL PLANT DID NOT COMPARE TO MY 2 IN DWC BUCKETS. Those things were sooooooo bushy and exotic looking it was nuts

I agree. Dont worry about pistil color. For example, U could do a flush week 4 folower, because you were having deficiency issies and that would change ur pistols from white to amber.

We all kniw though that weej 4 fliwer is Waaaaay too early. Tricomes are the only real true indicator. Side note: turn ur fans off before looking at tricomes. I like to frusterate myself and leave fans on while trying to check and medicated at the same time.... no bueno! Lol . . . .

Yup, your exactly right! The fans have been a pain in the ass trying to look at trichs lol. I will start turning them off

I don't think I need a flush. Plant has only been in soil for 5-6 weeks and fed at 1/4 strength. I'm pretty confident my issue was under feeding, especially after testing ph with my new meter that I know is accurate and ph measured 7.2-7.4 which I know is a little high but not enough to cause the yellowing I was encountering. I think I'm going to give her 1 more feeding of micro and bloom with just a touch of gro to get her through last 3 weeks and I will feed with water only the last 2 weeks

Oops, yup i agree. That previous flush example was only to explain how your pistols can change color(amber) with stress well before they are ready in flower. Tricomes are the only good way to be 100% sure you are ready for harvest! After all, its the tricomes that provide us the thc, cbd etc. and flavors in the end. ☺

True it's just so hard to see them on the buds w.o a good magnifying x's. I can see them on the sugar leaves just fine with my 4x magnifying glass

I'm mad I waited all this time and grew my whole plant w.o a good ph meter and could never test my Ppms then finally get one when my plant is almost done! I bought one of those $10 yes meters that didn't work for shit but I never calibrated it. I wonder if it would work if I used my 1500 ppm calibration solution?
