Please help!

Still not seeing amber trichs on my runt but 90-95% orange/red pistils and buds are green and purple so I may chop today... opinions? The plant looks like straight shit and has almost no foliage on it but the buds look really good even though they are small. I think it may have some strain of purple genetics it in cuz like I said buds have purple in them and not because of growing conditions it's just a natural purple

Right but what I'm saying is by looking at the trichomes my good plant looks to be about ready to harvest but the pistils are still mostly white and the calyxes haven't swelled yet and the runt plant looking at trichomes seems not ready yet but has 90% orange pistils and calyxes have swelled. This shit has me confused lol
Its all about tricome color in my opinion. Reason..... There are things you can do wrong in growing to slow swelling as well as increase speed on pistols turning amber. (1 bad feeding of improper ph can make or prevent changes in these areas). However tricomes in my humble opinion never lie about the "done-ness", of your plants. Id say the one with 20% ambers (Tricomes) you watch on a daily basis up to a week then harvest if things become any more amber (say, 30%). The other plant with no ambers.... wait for the first sign of ambers then wait 3 to 5 days (maybe even a week, but watch every day). When in doubt, wait it out.... and look for additional signs of course.

If you are not seeing amber tricomes yet. Try to wait. Rule of thumb is "when you think your done.... wait a week." If you can wait a week, do it. If it looks at any point like a bud is rotting, or it looks like the plant is dying (but buds still look good), the. Go ahead and harvest. Otherwise follow the other tricome rules and harvest only once you see 20-30% amber tricomes) you will thank yourself later! . . . . . Ive harvested too early numerois times.... always wished i waited a few days longer, otherwise im trying to clean the house when i medicate...lol id rather be couchlocked...haha

Those pictures were only 5 days apart. 3 days can make a huge change in ripness!!!!

Now that your showing ambers you have about a 1 week window max to take them in for perfect buds. Id say wait 2 more days if you can. Or maube just wait until the pots dry iut, then harvest the next morning before light up.

thanks bro... I just harvested the top 1/3 of the plant last night. I know it's best to do it before lights on but I plan on doing a nice long cure and I'm in no rush so I didn't really care I was just excited lol. I'm giving the bottom 2/3 of the plant a few more days. Hopefully my other good plant swells in these next couple days because her sugar leaves are like 50% amber but the actual buds not so much so she will prob need to be chopped within the week I'd say

I don't understand how the good plant is having so much amber in the sugar leaves with no swell and the pistils still mostly white. Should I be worried about this?

I think she finally has started to swell up so as soon as I feel like buds are not swelling anymore I'm chopping because she already has a good bit of amber trichomes. I give her atleast a couple days

Try not to go by the sugar leaves tric's. They will always amber up before your actual bud will. Those are what you want to judge your chopping by

Good advise guys... somewhere in this thread I posted that I know not to go by the sugar leaf trichs. That's why I haven't chopped her yet. If I was going by sugar leaves she would of been harvested a week ago. Buds are just now starting to get some amber and sugar leaves have been amber for over a week
