I feel like that is a lot of light! More experienced folk can chime in... but looks like a lot to me. If your fan leaves did stand up tall, they'd hit those lights on the side. Probably avoiding the light?

If it's straight up coco, you treat it like hydro. With the ewc it would be considered an amended coco. I think it would be somewhere in between. I've never run something like that so I'm not 100% sure. I was wondering if there is any spagnum in his mix or just coir.@Virgin ground That’s what it seems like. I’ve never dealt with coco so I wouldn’t be much help but don’t you treat it like hydro? Use different nutes made for hydro and water at like 6.0 ph?
Not 100% sure what it is called but it has wood chips and pieces of thin bark with coconut hair type stuff it just says potting mix on the bag here have a look please tell me what this is....I might be confused here . Did you say you are using coco and peat and ewc? Or are you using coco coir and ewc??
The CFLs are 5 Inches away as they dont give off much heat but I will be adjusting as she gets bigger but at the moment I'm staying within 5inchs 4 is a bit too close with those big CFLsI feel like that is a lot of light! Led is 15 inches away it's a 300watt but only pulls 110watt I've tested it so that's why I have dropped it as its weak As F... only has power on and off switch can't change from veg to flower.Yes, how far away from the plant is your led light? Do you have any operating instructions for it? Typically I would be 24" away in veg. Different manufacturers have different suggested operating distances though.
I have uploaded pictures to see what I have... I have then added 1 layer of EWC at the top and with every feed it filters through deeper into the original potting mix.If it's straight up coco, you treat it like hydro. Thank you but would too much light be a problem with temp good and ventilation and have done the hand test not hot just warmIll stay away from the soil mix talk.. but I feel like you could use a lot less light.
I had 4 seedlings and was using 150w MH, 24" away. Someone told me this was way too much for 4 seedlings, and now I have 3 seedlings under 1 single CFL bulb, and it's working much better!
Granted, they are small still.. but this light suggested to me is proving to be plenty!
Thanks so its Wattshine Model P300 specs are horse shit it has 60 5watt lights or whatever you call it guy on YouTube who knows lights and how to test them Correctly rated it the second worst LED he has ever Tested.Ok, I see what you are using now. Coco peat is coco coir. It is coir dust and fibers. So you are running an ewc amended coco. I'm not sure what your ideal pH is in that system. I would start here. Put feelers out and find someone here running a system like yours and gather the pertinent information.
What brand is your led light? No links or pics please.
That really doesn't work with leds. That's the old heat test for mh/hps.have done the hand test not hot just warm
True I feel zero heat at that distance with the led the warmth I'm talking about definitely coming off those CFL's... and thank youThat really doesn't work with leds. That's the old heat test for mh/hps.
I'll try to look at your light.
Yes there is runoff I would say 75 to 80% runoff within 15 minutes... alright will give that a try.. I added different spectrum CFLs today as those 2 big ones are 6400K so added 2x 14watt 950 lumens 2700k and she seems alot better could also he cause she had her feed today. This is what it's looking like.I'd start by moving the cfls up higher by a few inches. If she is stressed best to let her take it easy. When you water is there runoff?
Ok sure thing....thank youI found it, it says to run them at 24" it will cover a 2.5x2.5 space. Back that led up, sir.
