The old "from over all" to overalls story I see. Poor r2d2 needs a friend to help keep him off the nasty! I'll show him this!
Highya SO,

Very nice to see all those seedlings looking so good! Funny story about DLI. You have such a sense of humor! Love the 12/12 light schedule for a week is a great tool. I'm going to try that next season. Have a warm rainy spell coming. Easy on the woodpile! Your grow tent should be a better temp. May have to adjust all the heat rigging. Julie is back, so all is right with the world again!! Happy Smokin'
It's like soup out the window right now with fog! I hope to have to adjust the heat theme but we'll see. At 35 out now the tent is 70 f with 46% rh and a VPD of 1.34. This is before the light comes on so it changes after that.

DAY TEN OF 12/12. TIME TO CHANGE TO 18/6

Alrighty now! Good day all! 10 days are up and my reminder says to set the timer to my regular veg timing today. That's 18/6 for me. Some time today I'll extend the timer and we're on our way to seeing who these plants are!
They're ready for round 2, a nice casual veg and some training. So am I!

So far they have seen Dynomyco and Beauveria Bassiana at planting.

One watering has been with a P encouraging microbe package from Build a soil(Forget the name)

One watering with fish water(Neptune's Harvest Fish and SeaWeed)

All the rest have been light water around the edge of the cups. Enough to keep soil from shrinking away from the pot.

They're going to fly now! Remember the bottom inch+ of soil is my LOS They're about to start feeding from it.

I'm starting to use a water testing probe to check for soil dampness. Letting it tell me the pot's dry before I water. So far it's fun. I like tools. :thumb:

TRYING OUT THE WATER TESTER STICK

In an effort to keep these sweethearts in perfect harmony I want to create good water timing. The water stick is something new to play with. I started today. I think the soil in these cups has had time to glom together and be soil. I'm getting a reading on the stick. Mostly dry! I watered two days ago a full slow watering. This Build a soil starter soil is very airy I think. Just two days have passed and most of them read dry almost to the bottom.

This one did.

Knowing what a dry cup of this soil feels like in my hand, I'm waiting for tomorrow to give them another good watering.

So far the following is what has happened.

Mr. Otter (so formal I know lol) those little ones look great! Finally got all caught up.

After the 10 days of 12/12 have you noticed any slow down in veg time? Like if you normally veg for 4 weeks does it now take 6 weeks to achieve a similar sized plant?

Have you considered weighing a cup of dry soil and wet soil and then seeing if the weight and the moisture meter give consistent results to each other?

Happy 18/6 day!
i could. I'm just trying to get a feel for the water stick. I have a pretty good idea of what a light pot feels like in my hand. I'll be poking this thing into the pig pots later looking for dry spots and maybe learning where the water sits in a pot and for how long. Wait, I see what you're getting at. I should do something like that!

So formal G13 :p, Welcome! Be casual and free here please.
That's a good question! I don't know. I just focus on the moment and haven't thought of that. I've done this method twice as well so not a lot of experience. I don't think there's any slowdown starting now. If there was any I would have thought it would have been during the 10 day period while there was less light. They probably look small for their age today. Let's watch and see as they get some 18/6 on them!
