Planet Express & The Attempt To Repopulate Mars

I started pressing my own and I have only used pens and put it in joints so far so I am really excited to try a banger on my bong. I need to learn the technique though haha I'm a newbie with a stash
Aint nothing like a dab. Hold onto your butts. Cause shits gonna take you into orbit.
By far the best way to enjoy concentrates for me.

Can you explain this a bit more, please?

  • Bring water to a boil
  • Throw your plant (stem and everything, waste nothing)
  • Stir as needed over 15 min
  • Drain water (Some say this could have CBD and many old people drink the tea only. It will have all the other things such as chlorophyl, though)
  • Repeat 3-5 times
After this you can start making butter, oil, extract using alcohol, milk, cream, nutella, vodka, etc. THC will be activated @ boiling point, but even a 90 minute session (the time I usually dedicate for this) will leave your buds ready to be processed. CBD is water soluble under specific conditions I don't really understand, but THC is only fat and alcohol soluble, meaning you have to use either of those vehicles to remove it.

I threw my last harvest plant to my rice cooker and made a lot of oil, which I then added to chocolate spread, peruvian cocoa (the REAL deal) and made a simple premix cake with a THC activated spread. I used olive oil because it's what I can get, but the fat you use will definitely affect flavour.

PS: I've made banana milk with the leftovers and some cocoa to mask the flavour. It was t h i c c, but also very weird, yet I feel the plant must be used @ 100%

Thanks for explaining! I decarb and then usually do coconut oil in a jar and let it sit in a crockpot full of water on low over night. I love the flavor. Back in the day I would spread it on toast haha

No problem @Modest grower, I have never tried coconut oil, but I wanna try vodka. In my youth I learned to make vodka infusions, so all I have to do now is decarb and clean the weed and pop it in a sealed jar for a couple of weeks. This is my train of thought:

  • Terpenes will be lost, meaning a clean flavour
  • Pressure cooker miiiiiiight help retain terpenes using shorter times, but I don't have one, nor enough research material to iron the kinks out of the process
  • clean weed weed will go well with vodka, which is pure water and alcohol anyway
  • don't know if throwing the bud straight from decarbing or drying it first (should try both)
  • After...8-12 weeks? I think it should be good. Will this cure the weed or not?
  • What happens after I filter and dry the bud? The plant itself would have next to nothing thc except for what it soaked

I have really enjoyed garlic butter with cannabis, really tasty as well.

Good morning @Canadadoes how are you doing today?! Have you started trying out the CBD yet? Maybe drop some on coffee if you drink it and don't like the flavor of the oil. That's another one of my favs for the coconut oil.

Have you started trying out the CBD yet

Hey MG! Thanks for the thoughts brother. I’m out of the painkillers that were prescribed to me, I don’t want anymore anyway. So now it’s just gonna be straight up CBD from here on out. I have tried a couple drops so far. I’m not thrilled by the taste but I can definitely get passed it. Good call on the coffee. I’m gonna try that, I love coffee lol!

Update:

Training is in full effect now, going pretty well. Both Tropicanna Banana’s are responding quite well. Starting to shape up, as you can see from the overhead shots I’ve been trying to manipulate each branch into its own space. They all got a feeding yesterday at 1ml per litre of micro/grow/bloom as well as CaliMagic. 12L through the 6 pots. Sapphire OG’s are more Indica therefore a little harder to train due to the massive leafs. WhiteWidow pretty well the same as the Sapphire with the exception of the deformed one that has no training, just letting that one grow as is
Temps still holding pretty steady, they’re at 75F (high of 80F low of 70F)
RH- 55%

Love the training style and the plants all look happy. :slide:

Thanks MG, they seem to be responding very well. I figure I’ll keep them in veg for a few more weeks atleast. I really want to keep building the structure to carry some big ol’colas. Lol.

Looking good they are opening up nicely

Thanks Smokey. I’ve got a real good feeling about these Tropicanna Bananas! They are super pungent smelling already. I can’t even explain it. Looking forward to seeing how the structure develops.

Not an update, but I wanted to show some stuff I’ve been working on. I decided I want to start putting the logo of the seed company on pictures. I will have to check with the companies to see if they’re okay with it still. This is one I did for the Tropicanna Banana by Barney’s farm. It’s a work in progress. I did and overlay on the plant and cut it out, to get the font as leaves. What do you guys think?

Looks good :thumb: I am a fan of Barney's!

Thanks Smokey! I’ve never grown Barney’s until now. I must say though they seem like they have extremely hearty genetics. Very impressed so far.

Very cool text graphic, CD :bravo:
All caught up. Love your DIY spaces!
Angry af about your workplace accident. Had a few myself. Life is too short! Hope you’re ok.

Thanks Double D. Glad you made it over my friend! Its a pleasure to have you in my neck of the woods! As far as the accident goes, could have been worse. I made out very fortunate to say the least.

I like the addition of the logo. Your clean room provides a nice backdrop too! I am pleased so far with Barneys. I grew 1 of 5 Pineapple Express autos I bought and it is one of the tastiest smoked I have had. I hope you are having a great weekend!
