Pink Runtz Autoflower: Multiple Organic Medium Mixes: Comparing Performance

Riiiight!

Yep do what you can. Simple is best I don't even have one . I have a air filtration that pulls everything out it's so strong it pull plants out the vent if I don't watch it makes tent suck in so bad I think it's going to tear the tent up . Have it on lowest settings and it's still indent the tent bad
What fan are you using? I'll probably be upgrading down the road.
Deep water culture. It's a plant grown in a bucket full of water and nutrients! Well, it's more complicated in reality, but that's the basic description. :)
You will fall in love dwc means deep water culture they grow in a bucket an water and that’s only one plant she is just mega huge
Very interesting! I'll definitely be looking more into this method. Liquid fertilizer? How's the maintenance? Any cons that you've noticed?

You have to do bucket change weekly keep a sharp eye on ph an water levels from the plant drinking but I’ve always got massive plants using that method!!

Very cool! Something new for me to play with.
How was the learning curve with set up? I assume there's a mechanism to keep the water flowing and oxygenated? How's cleaning for that?
Is it super expensive to start up?
Are there any nutrients that you'd recommend?

I'm now considering trying a bucket on this grow. I still have a bit of time to make a split decision (I'm super good at those haha) thanks to the shipment delay haha

Simple bucket air stone to bubble the water at all times net pot lava rocks nutes @Prescription Blend is really good stuff it’s what I’m using now with super results!! Just keep it simple and it will work @cjsbabygirl313 she is running her second grow ever dwc an is really killing it go check her out !!!

Don't want interrupt . Liquid fert. I stay with fox farm alot times. And yes they do help plants. Alot dirt does not have that one thing or several things that plant needs. Like my dirt cal mag is first thing my dirt loses. And I use alot of it and molasses . Plant sucks alot of nutes out of dirt as it grow. Like corn plants u seen yellow on bottom of the corn stalks.that is phosphorus corn uses most of. Turns the stalks yellow when don't have enough for the corn plant. Same as any plant. Just got find it with dirt u use to replace what used growing. That's the farmer in me. . sorry if I interrupted

Heck I'm still trying to figure out why all the string grid on the plants . I figured it was of top heavy. But never had to put one up yet. Never have just one stem make it too heavy. Always top plants to make more main stems. Cause that top nug. Always the best nug.
Topping plants is not the only way to make more than 1 main cola. Lst can do this without hurting the plant at all. All you need to do is break the dominance of the main branch. Higher branches become your main colas so if you have a even canopy all bud site will be your main cola.

I'd like to think this is a sharing thread so definitely not interrupting in my opinion.
Very good to know, I believe I can source fox farm locally as well, so that's always nice!

I don't quite understand Screen/sea of green or light stress training yet. How does one break the dominance and create an even canopy?

There are soooo many ways. As a new grower its best to look up different ways experiment and see what works for you. Everyone is different and may take a while to get everything in order the way you want it.

Lst, topping, fimming, main lining, ect so many different ways.

I have personally topped plant and lst and like them both but lst just seems so much less stress to the plant IMO

I've always topped, but haven't lst, I'm excited to try it. Just read an article on it!

I have a thread on LST in my signature if you want to read about the hows and whys!
On my way now!

So that was a lesson and a half! Thank you so much for posting that. I read your post about not flushing nutrients earlier, no flushing for DWC?

Inevwr have done it

I never have done lst. On a plant here. Need to tho. Have to get the down low on it to do it. Have no clue how to or even looked into it much

Its actually not hard - just requires discipline at first really … take a methodical approach! My first grow was in DWC and I managed to get 2.75 oz from it (I adamantly maintain that blurple lights SUCK and that @Mars Hydro ’s FC-3000 is ROCKING IT and is causing my plant to become an auto mutant ;) )

I’d be happy to discuss with you if you’d like my approach but don’t want bog down your thread either!

I'd love to hear your approach, I'm going to go take a look at your journal(s)!
