Even if grants are not available you could possibly save some cash by looking at used panels. I know that they can be found on Craigslist around me because a neighboring state was offering grants for solar installations. And Tesla has that new whole home battery coming out as well, something that would likely pair well with a solar array, although the price tag on it is around $3,000. I believe it would soon pay for itself if your utility company has varying rates for peak and off peak usage.

Yes I did see the units for 3000$. And it didn't seem to bad. Can't remember the Kiliwatt that it provided but it's something I'm very serious about. Even if all I could get off the grid was my garden. Right now, in full swing, my room runs about 100$ a month. Which is still mcih cheaper than the 800$ A month it would cost to keep up with my prescription.

I feel it's appropriate to start looking at streamlining my garden. And making it a little more environmentally friendly.

I believe $3,000 gets you 8 kWh and $3,500 gives you 10 kWh. That's in $US.

Good morning friends and family! (More family than friends)

Beautiful weekend here. We've seen some gorgeous temperatures which has meant the family and I go outside!! I'm a strong believer of getting your ass outside and enjoying the outdoors. It's relaxing and typically much healthier than our dirty bacteria filled house! Plus in my part of the world it's going to be snowing here for at least the next 6 months. So, I would like to enjoy some warmth while it lasts!!

Well there it is again. I'm not sure if you ever tried the earlier forum for grow chat? It was very FRUSTRATING!
