Photos, Soil, Mars Hydro Grow

High All, Well I'm going to attempt my 2nd journal. This grow is way smaller than any I've done before as it's a temporary set up to get me some FREE WEED. My actual Grow Room will be in my shed once completed. So for now.... Here's what I'm working with.
A Hydro Crunch Grow Tent which is 31.5" x 31.5" x 6'. Using 1 - Mars Hydro TSW 2000 for lighting. 4" Fan & Carbon Filter.
1 Oscillating Fan in Front of Tent when lights on (No Room inside). 1 Small Humidifier in tent & a Large 6 Gallon in the Room. Also a small Clip on fan to blow the heat off the top of the light.
Growing 3 Photo's in FFOF (Afghan Kush, GG#4, Gorilla Girl) Planted the seeds on 2-1-20 directly into the soil & they popped up on the 4th so that I consider Day 1 of this grow. I haven't done photo's in a while now. All Auto's my past 4 grows.
Temps are 77 - 82 F which is a little high but doesn't seem to be effecting the plants any. My RH is low @ 35% - 55% so waiting on my new Humidifier Pads & these are pretty old & not looking very good after sitting in the hot storage for months.
Using Mega Crop for my 1st time. Starting with 2 gr. per gallon & working up from there.
I'll post some pics as soon as I re-size & organize them.
For now I just want to tag a host of people I've had the pleasure of meeting & getting great advice from throughout my past grows. Thanks All !!!
So if any of you care to tag along I can always use your knowledge. @farside05 , @Old Salt , @Emilya , @InTheShed , @Tom Sawyer , @MrSauga , @Havocsm1 , @MochaBud , @Mr Kuklinski , @sWEED in BCN , @Pennywise , @Virgin ground , @Silverfox125 , @West Hippie , @Smokiemcpot19 & anyone else I missed or cares to join in.
Looking forward to learning more about using MC, this type of lighting & how to use a lux meter, etc.
Be back with some pics soon !!!
Will follow this for sure, looking forward to see :thumb:

Hey all, got some more pics that I took last night. These girls seem to be growing pretty fast. I put my big Humidifier in the tent last night & my temps are staying between 79 - 81 F & RH is between 50% - 55% so a little better than before. I raised my lights a few inches as they aren't growing very tall, but getting pretty bushy. Branches are like right on top of each other. I think they need to stretch a little more; but then again I'm no expert on growing short bushy plants. I've always grown 5' - 6' foot plants. But I wanted to try to get these to stay shorter & bushier with closer node spacing so point me in the right direction guys.
Here's the pics from last night.
These 4 pics are the Gorilla Glue.

I actually think these look pretty good for just 14 days above ground. Do you guys see anything that I need to do ? Do they look good to you guys ? Well, time to feed (still at 2 grams MC per gallon). I've been feeding 2 - 12 oz. cups about every 2 - 3 days so far. That's just enough to get a little run off. I guess MC is pH perfect ? Every time I mixed it I got 6.5 pH.

If you have any leaves touching the soil I would put some flat stones under the leaves to keep them off the soil. I can't tell for sure from the pic.

Color looks good. I wouldn't want them any darker. Good size for the age.:thumb:

Yeah, I've been keeping the leaves just slightly above the soil. Made that mistake before ...lol.
So far I'm pretty happy with them other than they need a bit more stretch. These branches are really bunched up close. Might cause WPM later down the line if I can't get enough air flow through them. Not planning to defol til flower time & then just the bottom 1/3rd to 1/2.
But so far .... so good !!!

Looks great Buds! They like their environment im sure of it.
I would say, don't do anything unnecessary, just sit back spark a carrot and watch them go :smokin2:
Wish I had one to spark right now. No deals at none of the dispensaries today unless you want edibles or vape. I'm strictly flower. Smoked my last bowl this morning for breakfast (wake & bake).
Not willing to pay $120 for a 1/2 oz. For a whole oz. yes; but not a 1/2.
Wish CuraLeaf would get their $40 popcorn 1/2 oz.s in. It's been good every time. Wish I could say the same for their mid grade & Top Shelf. But at least 50% of the time I would say it sucked. I'm starting to think they go by how pretty the buds are instead of how stoned it gets you. Who cares what it looks like ? I just care about the effect.

Oh well, I couldn't take it no more. Went to a dispensary that gives you 25% off with a military ID. Still have my DD 214 & they accepted it. Got 1/8 GG, 1/8 OG Kush, 1/8 707 Headband & a Sherbert Pre-Roll for $54. That's reasonable for 11.5 grams I guess.
Feelin' Betta All Red Eye !!!

If the bottom leaf is touching the soil and also not getting any light, should it just be removed instead of keeping it there with a rock underneath it? I had a couple leaves on my autoflower which was touching the soil due to LST, and light was also not hitting any these leaves, should they just be removed?

My initial reaction would be to keep them off of the soil and to let the plant cannibalize those leaves.
I recently posted an article on my journal about how plants don't like being touched and their growth slows drastically when you do it. I would think that this would be more important for autoflowers as you don't want them to slow down at all.
However, I'm only on my first grow of autoflowers so I'm not really the best person to instruct you.
I have my own ideas as to how I will grow mine (no touchy).

Interesting Read. If that's true I wonder why so many people use LST. Seems like you'd do better just letting them grow. But from what I've seen the people doing LST are harvesting more than those who don't. Damned if you do / Damned if you don't. Which way do I go ??? LOL.

You could top an auto around 21 days of veg. I’m not convinced that topping will give you a higher yield with autos.
Got to agree with you there. After 3 Auto grows I decided I preferred Photo's better so went back to them. Just a little more fun to grow & I don't see much difference in the time frame til harvest.
My photo grows were always more potent too so that's the main reason I went back.
