Dude those plants look amazing!! Didnt i already tell you...?
Lol, ya you did Agemon :)

Thanks, ya the Aurora scared me for a bit.

Im not ruling out plain hunger on that plant either...one of those wish I knew the problem but I at least it seems back on track now.

Cheers my friend hope you have a awesome day!

Re: Phenominawesome Family First Grow Tries Aurora Indica, AK48's - 1KW MH/HPS - 5x5

Good Morning Phenoman,

Positive vibes out to you and yours...

You're on the downward slide to harvest my friend; have fun and relax today.
Good morning, positive vibes received.

Things are looking ok, I think we should be good for now.

The affected leaves finally died but there are no other leaves showing the problem.

Since they were all crispy and well frankly looked like a phosphorous deficiency textbook to me if looked at alone compares to pictures.

I removed the dead leaves. 4 total.

There are about half a dozen that were spotted a little but are alive and while not the best, appear to be working (cool to touch, last feed N is showing etc).

Re: Phenominawesome Family First Grow Tries Aurora Indica, AK48's - 1KW MH/HPS - 5x5

Just a quick garden update.

Day 37 of 12/12.

Problems aside I have to say that I went into this performing many expirements and growing one end of the spectrum, a super compact indica, to way stretchier sativa heavy hybrids. Nothing too leggy.

All that said for first grow, even with a couple of seeds the stuff really does look awesome.

Each eats differently and reacts different to light, heat etc.

Starting to see the effects of the bisexual plant from day 20. I thought originally that I made it but unless there is a nanner that I can't find, I think the seeds will be very minimal.

When I was first sexing the plants, before 1212 that particular one, on one half of the top was showing female pistils and the other half of the topping was showing what I now know easily are male shaped pod flowers and being way in the back by the fan. (that is the hardest corner to work in and I could have done better) I must have missed their growth and they matured enough that rubbing a tight ass trellis net all over the place while trying to get things in place without falling in the window sent that pollen a flying hahaha.

The reason that I bring it up is just a reminder to self, don't risk those especially now that I can get some moms.

It didn't stop resin production on AK5. That plant is the perfect example of a pheno choice (grow wise) in my opinion.

It's very water and nutrient tolerant I've overfed it. (this is also the plant that I topped off the soil before flowering to see if I would have a negative impact and boy was I wrong it loved it.

There are very little seeds luckily and lots of trichomes.

It would be plants that thrives this good here.

I'm changing my medium though to coco and running a simple 2 or 3 part with calmag. The FF is a huge pain and thats disappointing I have a lot left. I might have to use it though.

I just don't feel comfortable using so much PH up. They PH it in the 4 range to make it keep longer.

I'm going to buy some GH flora series and use up the Sensi calmag. I will still use FF PK boosters and sweeteners provided they aren't the PH culprits.

See, long story long, was laid off a few weeks back so really need to tighten things up $ wise until I'm back in the work force.

Anyhoo... Anyone have luck using GH in coco? I have read some articles that people were in 2011, but wanted to hear the concensus after some years.

How would using advanced connesiour AB only, no add ons, do? Thoughts?

I would do jacks if I could find smaller bags.

I use the flora nova grow and bloom, plus i use the nute line too. BUT, Im in soil... that being said, im happy with the results. I also use Superthrive, one drop per 4 oz water, on my clones, low dose and only once they're in dirt with roots. Not sure about other mediums.

Awesome, thanks Agemon,

I have florakleen also for when I start to flush.

Im glad that you use this in soil.

It's essential same thing im doing right now but likely easier.

Is your PH after mixing high or low?

I'm lazy and don't like spending 45 minutes waiting each time I add PH up to stablize. adding extra chemicals if I don't have to. I like 3 tiny drops of down to be perfect rather than 2 capfulls per gallon of up:)

This is great information either way.
even in soil how long do those last?

Really a bargain either way

I see super thrive a lot and it gets good reviews from all that use it...since 1937 or whenever.
Talk about a product standing on its legs. I may as well grab some a few bucks at Walmart I think.

It seems that its just as or more important to have the environment dialed in than a specific line of nutes (generally, thats not to say once dialed in and on point, experimenting will always allow for finer tuning) point is for someone like me I need to focus on the whole bit and getting things in tune. I think an easy nutrient line will help.

Couple nugs shots to reflect how I feel. I stripped a bunch of airflow blockers from IGF, instead of shock, she just gets happier.

Three of the IGF tops.

The reat look great! More pics soon.

Going to massage neem into leaves...

Aurora Indica still dying.

Ph dropped I think...

Looks like locked out P.

Sorry guys for the brevity, thanks for the help and words of encouragement.

Re: Phenominawesome Family First Grow Tries Aurora Indica, AK48's - 1KW MH/HPS - 5x5

Looks like a calmag issue
Hey Pennywise!

hope you are doing well this morning.

It does kind of look like that at this stage, or at least pics that I've seen.

The good thing is its not a big deal to add some extra sensi calmag to the water as it doesn't play hell with the PH like the FF bottles do.

I'll give her a bit more advanced SensiCal next water.

Wow what a roller coaster right?

These 4 keep me sane :)

Thanks again PW!

Re: Phenominawesome Family First Grow Tries Aurora Indica, AK48's - 1KW MH/HPS - 5x5

Good Morning Phenoman,

So you're @ 3 days short of 6 weeks into your flower...

In terms of the AI; It's been my experience, at least with the Pheno I've worked with, that the larger leaves will eventually begin to die and go to the wayside. This really isn't anything out of the ordinary, even in a general sense. The plant is simply following through its life cycle and the dropping / dying / cannibalization of leaves is part of this. Overall from your pic, the majority of your leaves are green, your flowers are full of white, healthy looking pistils and everything's looking frosty. You're closing in on the finish line; pace yourself...I think you're in good shape.

In terms of the 'rust fungus'...I'm not overly familiar with it per se, but I will make a suggestion. Look at that leaf under your loop and be sure you don't have something else going on there. If it appears as you're guessing, I'm sure some of the folks here can guide you in terms of treatment. My only advice would be to be careful what you apply now, considering you're close to harvest and at some point you're going to consume this plant either by inhalation or digestion...just be careful.

Irish Wolf Hound?...maybe I'm wrong. Reminds me of a dog my late Grandmother had...funny how we're reminded of things we're sure we forgot along the way...haha.

Good morning CannaCountry! Ya memories come from the weirdest places.
I just up and recited a jingle from the 80s the other day. I can't remember the last time I heard the song. Hahaha.

Yep, you nailed it right on the head. Irish
Wolfhound. The puppy in picture 3 is a 6 month old also.

Ya, going back to your post, that's the main worry. You know how much longer do I have to the finish line, and can I make it at this point just cruising on water now or should I try something else.

To be honest, I'd be happy if they all kept their current size but just ripened up without too much a problem.

I've inspected very many of the affected leaves, on multiple plants. Remove some regularly also under a x60 optical also with UV and no bugs or signs of them such as feces.

I know there are some smaller bugs however.

Pennywise I think posted about a 150x USB one for the computer. I think I will get that when money allows.

Hope that you have a great day!

Hello Pheno,

Ah, I was right...damn, my memory isn't too bad after all. There is something about that breed of dog I have always liked...great little family you have there.

I understand your worry in terms of where you are in flower and the time left to maturity. I again can only speak to what I know, and this doesn't necessarily correlate to your situation, largely because every plant is different, but in terms of the AI, from what I've seen they'll go a solid 9-11 weeks and this is from the change in photoperiod...with 11 being the perceived norm in my book. With that being said, unless you've got plenty of nutrients in your soil, you're going to need to go a little longer into your feeding. Use this as an opportunity to add some cal/mag or whatever you think may help out.

Here's a little food for thought...earthworm castings, simply put on the top layer of the soil and watered in, or a simple tea may give you the little boost you need without going over board, while addressing some of your 'slight' deficiencies in the process.

Let me know what you determine / do with the 'rust' so I can put that information in my data base (aka brain) for future reference.

Enjoy the balance to your weekend!

9 to 11 weeks??

Oh that's not good... Lol.

The rust won't be held in check that long as fast as its spreading...

So do I take another 5 weeks stressed and unemployed and try to finish this mess or just reset...

Its a lot of loss but I would be much more upset to lose it all as well another 5 weeks.

Does anyone know what to expect with organge rust? Kinda hard to misdiagnose this one but I guess its possible.
However, there is a raised orange fungus on the leaves.

Re: Phenominawesome Family First Grow Tries Aurora Indica, AK48's - 1KW MH/HPS - 5x5

I'll have to post some pics. Man.
Its every plant but one.

At this point might be a better mood lift to reset I think.
