Peyton's Pineapple Chunk

Well if I had to guess, I'm guessing my big pc must have had nute lockout due to pH, and nitrogen toxicity, even though I always used low nitrogen amounts. My other pc clones are flowering fine from what I can tell, so it was my bad.

Now, with the buds that were affected by the toxicity, are they worthless? Well there be any thc and will it be harsh to smoke? Just wondering what to expect and how to handle it
 
I do a lot of cloning. I never feed anything until they've shown new growth. Then, I do .25tsp/gal of my grow nutes until I put them in their new home. I really like to keep things as simple as humanly possible and this routine is easy to remember and works well for me. I'm always reminded why I keep it that way when I try something new... I really like to experiment but it rarely comes out well.
On the other hand... hempy was an experiment and that's turned out to be the best thing since sliced cheese for me.
 
The clawed leaves that are dark green. But the leaves never yellowed or died, and I still can't explain why they grew with no serrations. They are all the bud leaves cause I pulled most of the fan leaves off on her last defol. She confuses me, so I'll keep watching the clones that are starting to flower to see if they grow weird

No serations could be a mutation due to the extra N. I wonder if the heavy defol caused the plant to require less N. Causing a toxicity even though your feeds were low in N
 
No serrations is just a cloning quirk, I get it sometimes & they are usually 3 or single blades. Your PC does look really dark green so you could be onto something
 
She's no clone though, that's why it's weird. She came from seed. It has the dark green leaves of nitro toxicity, but no leaves yellowed or died, and there's no signs of burn anywhere. She's really confusing me, but I just go with it. If the smoke ain't great I'll make oil or butter, and I got that HGK that looks like it could finish in about 7 weeks with the rate it's building flowers. Can't wait to clear out this room and make it better.
 
Oh right, I thought it was a clone. That is confusing =/ Like you say though, no point worrying about it, just go with it :)
I've just put a seed order in with a 5 pack of PC in it :)
 
You'll find a keeper for sure. It's been on herbies top ten list for quite some time now, and I'm guessing there's a good reason for it. Mine should be getting close, she went from drinking 3 liters a day down to 2 now, so now I'm praying she fattens up a lot. I opened her arms a little more last night, can't go any farther without splitting her now. C'mon pre valentine's day harvest
 
Man....sorry to hear about the perplexing PC......the first one that i grew organically had to harvest early as all the leaves were turning brown and dying off.....not sure, but i think it was because i was PHing the nutes before feeding....eventhough the Liberty haze next to it same nutes and ffof never showed any defficiencies at all....after a lot of reading i dont ph organic anymore, but damn i got off subject.....the point being i had major lockout in my PC.....harvested at least 2 weeks early as it looked really really bad.......dried and cured it....still had some dead leaves in the buds that just crackled at touch......but...but.....after cure it was some nice smoke and a nice buzz as well.....i am sure it would have been better with no lockout but was still very good meds with a good cure....meant to say....not so good right after drying....was harsh and left a bad taste on the exhale....so letting it cure definately helped it out:)........
That being said.....does anyone know of anybody that has grown a Pineapple Chunk that wasnt touchy to some point?
 
This is true mate & I'm hoping so but Barneys genetics can be iffy, I might get a cracker that produces weird clones so I'm not banking on it. Hope for the best & expect the worst, I think that's how you put it :)
If yours is slowing down drinking the end must be nigh, please let it be so :)
 
I'll definitely let her cure, cause even now the stream dried stuff still has a harsh burn and chemical taste. Got a decent buzz from it, so it should get better. My stasis pc clone doesn't look like she'll make it, but the HGK still look good so far.
 
Did you flush? You shouldn't have any chemicals if you've flushed.
I find a slow dry is the best way to get a smooth smoke though. I try & get a minimum of 10 days drying by keeping the humidity up around 65% & I always dry in the dark. I dunno if that makes any difference to anything.
Shame about the PC stasis :( but good about the HGK :)
 
I never flushed her. I'll get to it before harvest, but she's well past all that point. I plan on flushing her for a week before harvest and using the boiling water three days before chop.
 
Sorry mate, my bad. I'm confusing myself here :) The terminology you used for speed/flash drying didn't register so I thought you was talking about a plant you've harvested. I'm back on track now bud :)
I don't know why but my speed dried stuff never tastes of chemicals, just the chlorophyll, even when I'm feeding full doses of flower boosters.
I think Dirty tried the boiling roots & didn't rate it too much
 
I know dc420 and renegade liked the results, plus it cuts down on dry/cure time, which I need cause I don't have a good environment to dry in. It's either to low of rh or temps in the 30's
 
I am anxious to see how long it takes your to dry after the boiling water.......mine took about the same amount of time as with a regular flush, but different enviroments and operators can make or break it......i hope yours woorks out for you mate.....Renegade is where i got the notion to try it which he referred me to DC420s journal......so obviously there is something to it....just not for me:) i am glad to hear one of the stasis clones is doing good....hopefully the pc clone surprises you:)
