Peyton's Holy Grail Kush - Flux - Hempy - Mars II 400

No. Never have. Perlite is inert, so what you put in is what you should get out. And I've never seen signs of pH problems either. The clones are doing great, and SB is starting to pick up, and they all get fed from the same bottle.

Ook I guess you were misinformed on this so let me fill ya in. Yes u gotta test your runoff. PH will swing as nutrients will get absorbed. Does that in any medium. PH problems when there bad look like yellow spots n shit. When pH range isn't optimal THEN you can get other deformities. And slower growth and formation.

When feeding in any medium soil, hydro, coco, Hempy. The idea is to add water or feed on either side of the pH swing, hydro has no medium so ya feed at 5.5 to 5.8 and by the end of the week its up to 6.5. Now if the pH isn't swinging properly and stopping at say 6, instead of having time to swing up to 6.5. Different nutrients get absorbed at different pH ranges. I have a chart somewhere I can show ya.
Same idea with soil. We feed at 6.5 and runoff should be 5.5 to 5.8. Same idea with Hempy. If you feed at 5.8 and u get runoff at 5.8 then nutrients are not being absorbed properly. Kind of hard to test runoff. U should get runoff of 6.5 ish

And that can cause slow growth, along with too cold roots will slow it down. That bucket on the floor? What's the water temp in the Hempy bucket? Below 70f above 60f anything lower will cause slow growth.

Not saying anything is wrong. Plant looks fine to me and your just paranoid is all. But if u wanna check those few things to rule anything out. Root temp and runoff.

Cheers bro!

I see. Yeah, I've been trying to combat the runoff pH by having my nutes at different pH every time. This jug is at 6.1, the last one was pH'd to 5.8, the next will be right at 6...i figured that was a good way to get most things absorbed throughout the range. I water every day, so I figured that wasn't enough time for the pH to swing anyways, which is why i pH it different all the time for me. The bucket isn't in the ground, but the nutes are on the ground in a room where the temp goes from 64 to 75. One of these days I'll get a second pH pen to leave in grow area for that purpose.

Hmm. When I did Hempy for a short time I always fed like hydro, and I was told to feed like hydro. Never had a issue. 5.8
Only feed different pH IF ya have issues arise.

I was feeding my hydro at 6.1 because my pH meeter was off. And the growth was pretty strange. Then the yellow spots set in.

For the record its good to test runoff once in a while. I do it every 2nd feeding. So once every 2 weeks.

I know a lot of it is my paranoia, but I also remember the HGK having a root issue at one point. When I went to transplant it early on, the root took a 90 degree turn left then another 90 degree turn down. It was a pain in the ass to keep upright and straight.

I'll have to have you teach me a few things about autos when I get mine growing. I want to bend them over and get them scrog style, or maybe just bend them. I know my light ain't good enough to get a tall plant covered well, so I gotta lay them over. So I'll be hitting you up a lot soon. Might try to get my buddy to buy another light just for the autos
here's one about auto's = a grasshopper ate the the top outta one of my AK ryder free seed herbies &
that was right @ the 4 set of leaves that were damaged but the bug came to eat the growing point much as if I'd pinched it
it's got 3 colas & branching more than the other pheno like it
I got 2 pheno on them one bushy sorta indca & the other looks like russian rudereralis = straight up stick ,3 leaf lobed huge caudexes but small mass on the buds , they look like a sativa bud . all of 24" lucky I only got one of these .
I do consider all three a waste space & pot/coir water nutes Oh NO Rant coming ... later

edit: I am learning on autos as well but if they act like what this Amnesia & Trans Siberian & produce these bushy branched plants with lots of buds sites , I'm sure with a good strain resin production in not gonna be a problem .

once there's a Cup Winner with an Auto there will a rush to switch , cloning is as easy as fem'ing your own seed , then it plant & water not 2 rooms Veg/Flower , no black out 12/12 room , one pot & go

I did transfer my auto's to a larger pot & Saw No Reduction in Growth Process at all
I do have a certain way I do then transfers & it's something I've perfected for myself on rare plants 20 years ago

what I've read is that when auto roots hit the pot wall they start to flower , I'd don't know that is true but these auto seedling had roots up the container walls

So on average, how tall do most autos get? I'd like to get that cheese candy auto under about 250 watts of CFL, and hopefully after a month put it under led. But I don't want it to outgrow it's space or the lights in that time. If not I might just wait another month until my buddy can hook me up with another light.

So when you did hempy, did you water full strength every day or did you water every other day? Did you have a feed feed water kinda schedule? I just want to know what could help my plants a little better. I'll start keeping my pH closer to 5.8 and see how that goes too. Oh, how's the staying high all day going? Let me know when your store opens and I'll check out your vape selection. I wanna see about getting me one

how tall ? ,

we will see :high-five:

those short cake seeds say those are short & fast

that's a best case under perfect conditions & some lying going on as well for 45 days
I have to say that from yesterday to today the buds seem to have doubled in volume on the Amnisia trio freeBe as well ThanX Herbie !

it's the breeder that most of questionable Hopes instead of fact comes from not the seed banks unless it's proven to be by growers not breeders

Auto are a race best light at the start , pot to size no transplanting , Long light hours of strong light from the get go & slowly ramp up the nutes you want a longer grow them bend & slap & that will slow flower while giving a huge burst of growth due to stem damage
the auto I actually creased the stem on during the 'Torturer's Visit' is now my biggest & is the least along if she runs long who cares she's huge !

I'll have to make sure and get mine going good and strong. Not sure about the slapping around, cause I don't want mine to take any longer than they do. The only reason I got autos was for the quick yield, especially with winter coming. Other than that, I prefer photo strains for training and long veg with some good yield. But i'll definitely try some things out with mine. I just gotta get another light first or get some plants harvested.

Okay. HGK and SB got flipped to 12/12 on July 19th, and showed first signs of flower on August 10th. So that's puts us in the middle of week 6 of the supposed 9 weeks for both strains. In hoping they're done it that time frame. HGK looks like it could finish then, but SB looks to still have another 2 weeks on top of that
