Peyton's Holy Grail Kush - Flux - Hempy - Mars II 400

I have another question about flowering. Does a plant show pistils first, or preflowers? Cause I know the HGK stopped growing new leaves and nodes a week after flip and started to make what are now the budsites on top. But it wasn't until last week that it started growing pistils. I'm just not sure which comes first. Is it not a preflower till it grows pistils? Still new to growing and flowering, so confused with what's what

You'll see hairs even in veg once mature. So if not mature when entering flower it will show hairs and preflowers at the same time almost, maybe a few days apart.
When I say preflowers I'm talking a bud half the size of a penny. You'll see the node structure change at the tip first. Start clustering closer together, no space between.
A preflower has hairs yes, don't have preflower without hairs.

Alright, so mine started clusters after week 1 of flip, and last week it officially made preflowers with hairs. I think I'm starting to get it. It's just confusing when you try to Google the answer and it comes up with 10 different answers. It would be nice if the breeders described their conditions and what they specifically use to gage the flower period. I know my HGK vegged for 2 months but with all the training and abuse I'm guessing it stunted it to where it wasn't fully mature even after that long, since it didn't have pistils before flower lighting

I know when I use to veg from seed, I don't count veg day one till first true set of leaves show, takes about a week. Usually 6-12 weeks after and I'll see hairs. Then when I flip 5 days later I'll see pre flowers.
That's why I kept saying a sog of seeds is near impossible, they will all mature at different times because of the genetics of the seeds. Would be a staggered harvest with plants days apart for up to a month. Even if the seeds are the same strain. Autos makes sense but not photos for seed to sog.

I can't wait to get my C99 going, cause the site says they are fully mature in 4 weeks, and flowering is 8 weeks. Be fun to see a plant be fully mature before I send it into flower

Definitely. That's why I wanna get my clone game down pat before I do them. Plus I gotta get a few more buckets and get that pc in flower before I'll have space for them anywhere. I've got 2 seeds of it and might not get to them till next year. Hopefully my little space heater works right. If I put a proper door on veg cab I can get rid of a fan and they'll stay warm in 24 hour light of need be. I just worry about flower room lights out. I've got the plans and space and time, just don't have the money to support a bigger grow yet. In February I'll get another light and bigger veg space, but kinda screwed till then.

One bit of advice with seed times they quote, ignore them & go off what you see. As stumped has said you never get two seeds identical, he's spot on with everything else he's taught you too. :)

Maturity is a definite. My tomatoes have been mature for three years and I start getting tomatoes as soon as I get the tomato clones into their buckets. With the tomatoes they have to be 55 days since seed to blossom. My clones are blossoming all winter, I just trim off the blossoms. A new Mars II 900 Watt LED might change that. I might do more than over winter my tomatoes. Wife wants me to try Hydroponic Lettuce under lights. And green beans. I like her idea. Grow beans in hempys. Lettuce NFT. Who needs a greenhouse? I do...

Veg time has nothing to do with it. As your about to see. 12/12 from seed will veg for almost 2 months before flowering.
Plants have to mature before they can flower. Is why clones flower faster, because they came from a fully mature plant.

Girls are still looking great. HGK did one final stretch, so she caught up pretty good with SB, which is good cause she needed the vert. Gonna tie her Flux ends even with rest of canopy tonight. Clone is looking good. Stretching a bit now and getting bushy, still hoping she just forms one big cola for me
