Peyton's Holy Grail Kush - Flux - Hempy - Mars II 400

The winter last year was really harsh, and my garage isn't insulated at all. It was in the negatives for most of the winter. I'll probably try to grow a plant, but that's the reason I'm growing more now, just in case it's too harsh. Can't wait to see how the stasis clones do. Hopefully they root, cause I'd like to try that someday
 
I think after my pineapple chunk journal I'll take a page from stumped and stop the personal journals. But fear not, I will start a journal called "peyton and pals neverending grow" to make a space for us to keep showing each other what we're doing. And the name is a work in progress, so let me know if you can think of a better name for our mass journal
 
Been in flower less than a week and forgot to check for light leaks. Ran my test, and pretty good. A little light comes in at the top, about 4 feet above the plants, and it's barely any light. Can't see my hand in front of my face, and it's as good as it gets without having to do more work. I'll know for sure when harvest comes if it's good enough.
 
I drove myself nuts with the light leak thing. Any light can cause Hermie. But it depends on how direct it is. Casting directly on the plant is bad. Above like a moon light, won't harm. Where u can see it, but it doesn't cast any lighting.

Also, if doing a light test. Truly, stay in there for 10 min tll your eyes adjust, you'll be surprised how much u can see. And you'll see all kinds of holes n shit. Bust out the aluminum tape lol easier trick is cardboard with duct tape. I drove myself nuts. That's why my room looks like shack in Liberia, patchwork everywhere. Ain't pretty, but not a drop of light gets in.
 
I'll go out there in a few and sit in there for a little bit to see what I see. But it is up high in the corner, and it's not direct light that hits the opening. But i'll double check for my ladies sake. I do like the thought of not worrying about light leaks. I was reading up on auto pounder and fast n vast on herbies site. Can't wait.

And yeah, we'll definitely get the group journal going. I'll start it after pc journal, unless you guys want to start it or have me start it now. It's all up to you since it will be all of ours
 
I started using a Reptisun 5.0 UVB light. I'm not sure about it. I have heard it makes plant produce oils. I don't know how long to keep it on but I am just having it on for about 4 hours a day. Any ideas or directions on adding UVA and UVB will be appreciated.

As far as I've read, uva is a no-no, and uvb you only want to use 2 to 3 hours a day during the last 3 weeks of flower. Supposedly it can help with resin production, but most of it is anecdotal, no real proof behind it like the 24 hours of darkness and whatnot
 
It is a UVB light. I don't think it has much UVA. I bought this a couple months ago after reading a post. I'll try it for 3 weeks for 3 to 4 hours a day. I don't know if it will make a difference or not. I won't know even after harvest.
NLxBB is building buds. It is 8" from light and hasn't gotten any closer. Maybe stretching might be over. You might be right when you say three weeks more. But we'll see. I hope around the 10th of August.
 
It's there any chance you can take the hooks off your light and rig it up for more room? And remember, uvb light is cancerous, so don't go adding to your health problems just for a little resin. You probably want to be nowhere near when it's on
 
My buddy will be coming by today. I gave him an ounce of that sour sky and he kept it in jar to cure. He said it knocks his ass out now, so I can't wait to try it. I smoked my ounce before it could cure, so it'll be nice to see what it's become. Next harvest should cure great since there should be enough to let some make it before i get my hands on it.

Trying to figure out something with the light. It's 7" this morning, don't know what it is now. Resin, trichomes right? Yea, I don't want another kind of cancer. I am no where near the light.

Stumped, my crop can't get any smaller. Too late to worry about that. She is packing on the flowers now. Sucking up a gallon of nutes in twenty-four hours. I'm making two gallons at a time now.

Try to get some photos tomorrow. Can't move it out of the tent now, too big. Fast and Vast normally gets bigger than this. I can't imagine.
