Yep Peyton I think I will be switching to the darkside with you, either that or I'm gonna have to put a sand point well in and hook RO up to it don't wanna haul that much water for the 2 rooms. But I got a 100 liter of perlite on the way LOL

mites will find everyone at some point LOL
they have nuttin to do with the medium .
infected plants newly brought is the prime cause , 2nd is wind blown or brought in on clothes or pets
YES you can get them in cheap garden soil as well a host of other bad things
they thrive in warm dry air , they actually will spin webs to keep water & wasps off them & the larva , eggs

I've been growing in my garage and haven't been having problems, and my garage is not sealed or clean by any means. I get crickets and random moths, but nothing that damages my plants. I do find a lot of dead mosquitos and bugs on top of my perlite. I've never heard of them mites thriving in 100 percent perlite or sand

mites live on the leaves & never come in contact with soils in the their life cycle

in any case if you ever see small white speckles scattered on the fan leaves that's the start , the white looks like some flicked up the air a cigarette ash , kinda an angular look not spots .
takes a jewelers lope to see them & they are under the leaves & the damage 1st show on the leaf top (the white)
if you get them iit'd be in the winter , when you heat the grow room .
summer where you are the humidity with your summer heat kills them from hatching
that's why their so bad in the west is all our dry air in the summer.

Here are the Fast and Vast girls They are 27 days old. Hempy with 100% Perlite. GH FloraNova Simple Drain to Waste schedule. Also CaliMagic 4 ml per gallon. Nutrients 930ppm. TopLED Mars II 700 on a 21/3 schedule. They love the light. As you can see. Enjoy the girls!

Here is Vast. She does have some flowers going on. She is planned to be sprayed with Colloidal Silver. Just some bottom buds so I can use the rest for my medical oil.

The girls will be moving soon for more room.

U spray em with cs yet? I made 2 solutions of Cs. A 51ppm and a 32ppm. I'm all ready for breeding over the winter.

While I'm talking to ya, would you like to be a judge in our solo cup contest? Starting in 2 weeks but won't need judging till end of flowering 2-3 months later.

Fast is on the right. I plucked 2 leaves from Vast and now I am just bending them down below growing limbs. Vast is so thick I can't really do anything til I move them.
I have tried 4 times to make the CS. I must have gotten ripped off buying the silver wire. I have some 1gm pieces I will try later today. If I can't get it done, I'll buy off am uh zon like Toker69 does. Blame it on my brain damage. Should have just bought it first. I've spent that much on 9volt batteries.

I would be honored to be the first ever judge!

Hmm. I made mine with silver quarters and a 12v ac adapter. Raised the ppms so I'm guessing it worked?? I'll find out in a week if it works. Says to spray daily once i seen preflowers so I remove the plant from the room, spray, and put back in room. Forgot to do it one day so far since Sunday.
I looked online and people said old silver quarters work and cellphone chargers with low mW.

We plan on having 2 categories. One being overall weight. Second being strictly appearance and if they followed the rules fully to achieve this.

I have read BIDs thread ten times and tried making it five times. I hate to think my problem was bad silver.
I can't think of anything else. I used 12 new alkaline 9v batteries and a 19v @ 4 amps laptop power supply. I am going to try with my 1 gm ingots tonight. If it doesn't work I'll buy some on am uh zon. Got to spray Vast next week or wait til next grow. That sucks.
Have you read Toker69's thread? Good experimenting there. Don't spray whole plant. I'm just going to spray a couple buds on a couple low branches. That way I can make oil with the rest and harvest upper part and let lower grow the seeds.

Yup I've looked into what's he's doing. And the way I see it is there's more then one way to skin a cat. I read it all when u first showed me and I got thinking.
I read silver quarters work, worked for me, got any laying around try it?

Laptop power supply? There like 10w all the way up to 120w. U didn't trip a breaker? Or fry the laptop power supp!y? They have a built in anti short system, and will only conduct under proper draw conditions. So its likely it wasn't drawing any power when in the water. Do you got a multi meeter? I used mine when doing it and I was getting 11.2v and drawing 700mw.
Did anyone use a laptop supply before are report it working? The whole point is to release silver ions into the water. Basic chemistry suggests to me lower the watts the better, infact it should be measured in mW. As silver is highly conductive and its ions are easily released.

Whole thing got me fascinated on many levels. I'm gonna do some testing this weekend. With some 1oz bars I have. And scrap jewelry. Maybe what I made isn't pure cs? The impurities are what I'm reading on the TDs? It is possible I'm no scientist lol, anymore .

I got all BID parts from Radio Shack the other day ,but haven't made any yet , I goot the one gram silver bars (minibar ) from Amazon there cheap . I'll try it on my next run of autos

She's just getting too bushy already. And my 3 new clones in flower are already stretching and getting much thicker stems after only a day. Exciting times
