Peyton & Pals Perpetual Playground

I'm still hoping to hit the lottery or that my ol lady gets a better paying job. If I can swing it, I'll try and homeschool my son and retire at 35 lol

winning the lotto..now that would be nice...what i could do with millions off pounds... mmmmmm..

Yeah, I'll have to start getting my lotto tickets again. If I win, it's a cross continents tour to visit all my friends and smoke all their herb lol

Nice tent PM. Perfect for your Mars II. I can see it filled to the max before you even know it. Sweet! Must feel giant size to you with how you've been limited in size. I know my new 4x8 tent feels like a bedroom after the 2x3x5 I grew in till Vast outgrew every space. It is nice to be able to sit or stand inside with your greenery.

Fortunately (or unfortunately) mine is filled with veggies right now. Just harvested two heads of Adrianna Bib Lettuce, giant sized. New transients when the veggies move outside for the spring and summer. Which will be in a month here.

If you do get a new LED, make sure it is more than 450 true watts. That means 900 watt or higher. At 450 watts your 16 square feet only get 29 watts per square foot. At 35 watts per sq' you will need 560 input watts on the light, something like a Mars II 1200. At 50W per sq', the higher end of the range, you'll need a 800 true measured input wattage light, meaning a something like a Mars II 1600. That is to cover your footprint 4'x4'. These wattage per sq' requirements are based on 35-50 watts per square foot. Something I read written by member KingJohnC, to which he footnoted a book and link. Sorry, I lost the post, it was recent. Maybe the MarsHydro thread.

I am growing a single lettuce head directly under my MarsHydro 48x3 reflector model. Single lights for single plants might be a better idea than a single light for the complete growing area. I have three lights in my tent now. Everything is growing just like it was outside. I grow it outside hydro too. What do you think? Light each plant or one light for all?

I think in the long run one light for them all would be cheaper, especially if you get more plants. I would love to get a 900 or 1200 led light. I'd have to sell a lot of my stuff off to buy one, so I'll stay in dream land for now. With my old model and mars II, I think I'll be right around 350 true watts in there. Should be okay for 3 plants in a scrog, but will keep me stuck at the 2 ounce per plant mark. But I promise, at some point I will get a big boy light and give you guys a run for your money in the yield department

There's wildjim what's up buddy been really quiet lately how you been ? And after 15 mins of waiting here's the kids hope they came out don't look like much on my phone 28 pixel my ? I'm not seeing it lol

Those are some clean and clear pics kola, so the camera is doing its job well. And your girls look right about the same size as mine, so this should be fun to watch. I know seeing yours in flower will be awesome

Ya they came out pretty decent just looking at them on the phone they look like crap. Ya it's gonna be a race I think I'm a week + behind ya I'm really not even counting gonna try and not till I get to flower just gonna veg and clone to decent size and wing it I always get too anxious when I'm keeping track of time. Of course I'll have to count the autos but I'm gonna try this for now with the photos and see if time moves faster :cheesygrinsmiley:

When I took pictures just once a week it was nice to see the big difference each week. But I'm the same way, I'm trying to not pay attention till flower. Then I'll count from day of flip and also first sight of preflowers. Mine never show pistils before flower. PC vegged for 3 months and didn't have pistils till flower

That means just keep them away from edges of tent. I am just suggesting by things I have read. I don't want anyone to think I know what I am talking about. I just remember what I read. That size tent will give you some good times. I sit in mine sometimes. Good quiet times. Just veggies growing in there so I taste some F&V sometimes sitting there looking at everything. Looks so nice. Can't wait til they move outside. And I'm looking at Fast and Vast Girl 3. Needs a journal.

Hey there Kola320. You got some nice looking girls there. Yea had some health issues requiring hospitalization. Keeps me away from screen flicker. It causes uncomfortable seizures. I read and not write mostly. Decided to try to say hello and be involved. Thanks for asking.

I'm looking forward to sitting in the tent with the girls. Gonna have to get me a small but comfortable chair for it. Right now I plan on taking up about 2.5x2 of that space for plants, the rest for me. I'm sure clones will be all over the place eventually. It'll be fine then, cause it'll be spring or summer and I have a futon by the tent, so I can sit across and stare in.

The one thing I learned about setting up a tent this week - if you have very limited space, set the shell of canopy on ground first in proper place, then build frame. I had to take mine apart halfway through because of that. But it is a thing of beauty in that ugly garage. Even more beautiful with the door open
