There not too bad I think I got my last 20 from the bay for like 10 bucks but they were used. I've never used clonex have to let me know how you like it I've just been using cheap ole powder from the depot. Ya I'm about due for another Mykos myself too I like that root riots come in packs of 50 so they last a while too.

Yeah I was looking on cramazon at them. I'll let ya know how the gel goes, it's one of them things I hear a lot of people swear by. I've been using regular rooting powder with no problems, but wanna see if the gel will root faster

Ok after I rip it open how do I close it up enough to keep the light out cuz doesn't seem like my perlite is closing it enough

Ok so when do u put them under light? I wander y my plugs don't have a hole like that mine have a tiny little pin hole

give me a sec I'll drop another one for germ and shoot some pics start to finish ok. You can have a light on them after that but it can dry the plugs out and your root might dry out also the root will be deep enough so the light can't get to it all your using the light for really is heat when you germ paper towel method your putting them on something warm at home till they pop. That's all the light is doing I'm just using a space heater this time to keep my water warmer. I'll be right back

Ok thanks kola cuz I germed one 2 days ago paper towel method then I used one of my plugs I had split open down the side opposite of the way u did urs I put the seed in just below the surface taproot down then wrapped tape around the to to close it up watered it and put it under light little over 24 hours ago still hasn't popped up

how tight was the tape ? there not too strong to push threw all the time I usually adjust after I get a decent tap root to where the shell is just peaking up seems to work the best so the root doesn't have to fight so hard.

Pretty tight closed up the tear if u couldn't see the tape it looks like it was never torn...and the shell is right at surface line

I left all 6 of mine for dead too came back to re germ some new ones a few days later and my critical was 3'' tall screaming you left me behind.

The plug wasn't soaked I usually soak the plug till its full of water then do the tear but I'm out of water at the moment but you get the idea now right ?

Yeah definitely thanks a lot for the help so I guess what I don't get now is does it sprout without light just by simply keeping it warm and wet

Then just give it some time that's why I like cloning better you can see what your girl is doing. she's either dying or trying to give you roots. New seeds seem to take forever I hate the first 2 weeks not really anything you can do with them but wait for the 4 node to play.

At this point I'd be happy just to have a sprout I don't understand it didn't have this much trouble getting my bag seeds to sprout

Cool. Yeah, first two weeks is boring as hell. I probably won't start a new journal til I start topping and training. Not sure if I want to start another or just put it in here full time. Meh

Ya I do the same for my clones but use a pop bottle domes for moisture give them a spritz to keep the humidity up and my heater to keep them at like 80 degrees I can usually get roots in a week. easiest way I have found to clone 6 at a time if I want more I just break out my little aero garden but it's programmed for 18/6 so the lights turn off on the internal timer
Rough when your tap is nice length I usually go with a 1/4'' then I have the light on so the seed knows which way is up it's gonna seek out the light

Well I'll follow you buddy if you wanna start a new one I don't much wanna start a journal I just come on to shoot the bull with you guys I can disappear for a week here and there. When I'm running crazy I got to the point where I don't need to grow anymore I just do it for fun I'm sitting on over a lb yet and the pile just seems to be growing

Ok that's about how long tap was when I put it in plug yesterday...about how long does it usually take to pop up

Rough you gotta be patient it can take a few days just make sure the tap stays moist and the plug doesn't dry out I know it seems like it is taking forever but your gonna get there buddy. I usually just end up walking away from fine and chalk them up for dead and don't look at them for a day or so then go back and I'm ready to go this and waiting to harvest are the slowest parts of growing
