These words get me thinking....
Perhaps the ppm of the res is much less critical in hempy as compared to a recirculating hydro system.
I've been all worried about it, but the plant is getting food mostly from the medium... not so much the pool of water at the bottom.
Of course, that brings up the next natural question.... why have a pool of water at the bottom?

All of these thoughts and words are making me feel more comfortable with my 3500ppm res water. I'm really starting to wish I had never tested my runoff.
 
With hempy you shouldn't worry about ppm cause you water everyday and it's like a res change in dwc, so it's never sitting and building toxic salt or any of that.
 
Yeah there's definitely a learning curve with this plant. And each strain being different doesn't make it any easier. Glad you're not gonna drive yourself crazy man
 
Tead... The gallon rez at the bottom of my 3 gallon hempy doesn't stay longer than 24 hours. I feed daily with 1 gallon and get about 3-4 ounces of run-off. My girl drinks a gallon plus every day. When my ph was off a month or so ago, I put 3-5 gallons of ph'd water thru the bucket to make sure the perlite had the correct ph. Haven't had ph problem since. I calibrate my ph meter everytime I mix nutes. Always a point one or two off. I calibrate my ppm meter every week. Use it more for temp than ppm since I have been using the GH FloraNova Simple Drain to Waste feeding schedule. Always the same ppm. Always 6 drops of my ph down to get 5.85. My faucet water is 7.1 ph. No flouride in my water.

Just make sure your ph and ppm is correct when you feed. Calibrate your ppm and ph meter regularly. Don't wait a week or two to calibrate. Good luck to you Tead.

I watch a lot of movies. A lot of them. Last night I watched a movie called "tusk", by Kevin Smith. He was the king of stoner slacker films in the 90s.

Tusk is by far the worst movie I have ever seen. It is not comedy, drama, nor horror film. It's a crapfest that Johnny depp's acting couldn't even save. I won't throw any spoilers in here, but if you have two hours of life to waste on bad movie, waste it somewhere else. This movie was so bad I felt I had to warn people. If you love Kevin Smith or good movies, avoid this
 
Had to take some pictures tonight at lights out. Visitors tomorrow.

Well here she is, 113 days old Saturday. 5'4" tall. Wide as can be. She is larger than her room. Have to remove fan tomorrow. Hasn't been blowing for weeks.

Sorry about the photo quality. Just no room to take photos. Color is off some. No discoloration in leaves. And most fan leaves have been removed. And I can't see well myself.

Mines still in the flower forming part, she isn't stacking buds yet. I think she stretched another few inches last night. So hopefully she'll kick it into overdrive and stay on track with yours. Hell, or could pull 3 ounces off of mine and it still wouldn't pale in comparison to yours at harvest time. How are the buds looking that are deep in the plant?
 
Down where the flowers are getting the least amount of light they are building a little slower but they are getting bigger. I have been constant in my defoling. I know some people say to defol at certain times in flower, but I have had to or else I would have a cedar tree in there. And I wanted to get light down from above. There are bunches of flowers between those colas start going up from the bush. I can't turn her like I used to because I would have to squeeze in her sides. Somehow if I can remove the 10"x10"x14" block of cherry wood and the foam minnow bucket and the tall fan, they are on top of each other in that order. I might get more room and be able to turn her.

I sprayed her and have come small balls growing. I'll just let them go and whatever gets polinated will be the last part I harvest. That part has to go 40 more days.

I'm tired of this and want to start something a little smaller.

I feel ya on the different grows. I wanted to finish by Xmas and stop for a month or two, but one pc clone and the HGK monstercrop are just now starting to flower, so they'll finish when my next season starts. No rest for the wicked.
