Pest flying around soil: Thrips?

Took this using a 60x jewelers loupe. This is what thrips look like

I used neem oil and natural soap, sprayed liberally twice a week. Never did eradicate them fully tho. Bud washed at harvest and smoked well. Hope you get over your problem

The other pest could be whiteflies, they look similar to fungus gnats but are smaller and have white wings (4 wings). As long as you're still in veg, there are lots of products to kill them, they are not hard to kill, but you usually have to spray several times as the eggs and larvae are resistant to sprays.
