PeeJay's Neophyte Breeding Adventure

Yes and no, Circuit. It can be vaped but there really isn't enough punch in the liquid to get baked. It tastes good. A good dose under the tongue is like two-three droppers full and that would be a LOT of vape hits. The amount in a Cannhatten would fill several tanks.

Greenhouse Update

Not much to say really. This weeks treat was a top dressing of 1 part worm castings, 1 part fresh soil, 1/2 part Yum Yum, a little crab meal and a little glacial rock flour. Each pot got about a quart scratched into the top couple of inches of soil. They are growing. Climate is nice.

PJ, second pic down from the top, I see something familiar in your plant/leaf that I see on one strain of mine. Kinda yellow greenish leaf,, hard to describe but I think you know the leaf or problem I'm talking about. I describe it as not enough green for that leaf, kind of a birth mark thing. Obviously I'm not good at descRibing this....

I have a stink bomb doing the same thing, only one branch. Not sure what it is,,,,

Nice plants BTW,,, tough when you have one bad leaf ;)

There are more than one of those and I have no idea what is going on. Things got very hot and dry here the end of July and the Sage 'n Sour didn't like it much. There was a ton of yellowing and leaf drop down low and I started to see the wonky leaves. I treated it as an early nitrogen deficiency with some 10-1-1 guano. I'm still seeing the wonky leaves pop up here and there... Maybe someone else will know what it is. The plant seems very healthy otherwise and is growing big fat colas so I'm not too worried about it. Here are more pictures.

Also, after my scrape with bud rot I decided I should monitor the greenhouse more closely and hung a sensor between the two plants near the top of the canopy.

Yup, I have those leaves. Running a clone from the same plant on Doc's kit and it's not as noticeable,, but, because I'm looking I can see it.

good follow-up, PeeJay, thank you. Good luck.

It looks more like the first stage of a Calcium deficiency to me PJ.

I'm just about ready for my new batch of one of your Custom Soil Mixes.

What I have on hand:

For the Base
The same LI Growers Mix Soil we used last time
Peat Moss
Perlite

Additives

Yum Yum
Bat Crap
Azomite
Bone Meal
Growology Step 1 for Mycos
Eggshells ready to bake & dustify

After transplanting into a few more 2lt soda pop pots our cooking bucket will be empty. I'll be using the 6gal one. Is there anything else you suggest I order this pay period before we get started?

The worm castings arrived and I now have enough dried cannabis leaves. The only thing I need now is eggshells again. A lady friend of mines was over for Memorial Day diner and cleaned the kitchen afterwards. She threw away the jar of eggshells I had.
You can go ahead and give me the measurements of everything to use, I'll pick up an extra dozen eggs tomorrow and just make a big bowl of egg salad for the week.

Sounds gassy... The folks in the office will love you.

:circle-of-love:

How many gallons is the mixing tub? Lets make some urban jungle LOS. Hey are there any dead bugs in your light fixtures? It's that time of year. Take the fixtures down and dump the corpses in the dirt.

Maybe calcium but it might just be an odd genetic trait or a virus. I'll water in a bit of oyster shell flour and see if that helps but overall the plant is bustin'.

I sure wish Yum Yum was sold locally. I hate to have to pay those shipping charges.
It sure seems to assist those beautiful plants. :)

Heading for the net for the cheapest shipping............lol

Yum Yum is a good mix. It works well. I hate recommending it to people who can't go to the nursery and buy 25# for $35 and throw it around with abandon... It has more things in it than the "coots kit" and not in as simple ratios. My friend says it needs more humate. I hate seeing people spend for it with shipping. It breaks my heart every time. It is a really good organic soil amendment that is widely used by hippies in the know regionally. Everyone that uses it is pretty happy.

I'm pretty sure your right about the leaf being heat related! The mottling, not 100 if that is all heat related but the twisting for sure! Going through it right now myself.. :) Looks great PeeJay! :)

A 6gal bucket. Never had bugs in my light fixtures before but even the gnat problem our grows usually get in the summer didn't happen this year; might have something to do with the preventive maintenance of spraying soil with the hydrogen peroxide mixture as soon as we plant.

Oh, like that preventative tip, BAR....I've got some rock wool seedlings to plant in 1 gal pots today...think I'll try that hydrogen peroxide spray on them, thanks

You have the recipe, right Shawnee?
One quart h2o (I use tap), One cap of Hydrogen Peroxide, & a small drop of liquid Dish detergent > put in a spray bottle > Shake well > Spray the leafs & medium generously once a day for 3 days > Gnats & Larva gone.
For p/m I only spray before watering for the first two waterings.

1 1/2 tsp per cup OR
2 T per quart

Does that sound right, BAR?

I like it, Bar, thank you.....

Breeders Update

I finally got around to selectively pollinating the breeders yesterday. Here they are.

20150911_084349.jpg

Panama got bent over. She was hitting the roof of the greenhouse where it slopes in. Other than being the tallest and gangliest of the lot there is nothing much special to say about her. Slower going into flower than the Chirtals, we'll see how she does when nighttime temps start dropping into the low 50's - high 40's... Branches with red markers were selectively pollinated by the Panama stud, yellow markers the Chitral stud.

The smaller of the two Chirtals is the pretty pheno.

Pretty colors aside the bigger one blows it away in the production department forming a substantial cone of goodness. It shows some purple down deep in the flowers, too.

Both the Chitrals put out massive plate sized fan leafs.

The clones of all three (plus a culled Panama) are are all still in the bubble cloner. They look viable, healthy even but they have been bubbling for two weeks. I am a little behind here. They may be able to go right into the big indoor tent to veg.

:adore: That's it PJ! Forget about it, let's get my soil to cooking ASAP! I've seen enough.
