You could just start them in Promix...or some of the cooking soil if you are in that much of a rush. Should have had your soil mixed and cooking through flower...next time try and get it mixed a week or two after transplant. It is just gonna be sitting around anyway.

If you cook like that you can start your seedlings in a separate area with about a month left to harvest. Once you harvest you are set to transplant into final pots.

Having two bales in rotation works very efficiently if you time everything right.

Start them in coco and transplant once your soil cooks. Veg 2 week's and flip.
I don't think I could use the CoCo in Doc Buds kit. That would be a Great idea if I could

You are right about getting the soil cooking earlier, I honestly wasn't thinking about it I was focused on the grow I just harvested and the weather was too rainy or too cold to mix it outside other then a few days but I didn't have the Promix then. I need another trash can to recook the second run soil but after that I will have a batch ready

After being in the turkey bags for a few hours the RH has only came up to 52% in one bag and 47% in the other so I think they did get too dry I wonder if a should put a Bovida pack in the bag to bring the moister up. Any thoughts ? I need to ask @Derbybud

I think so I would have to get my seeds out to check but I am pretty sure it is from Barneys. I will go check. It was highly recommended by @InTheShed
Wasn't me but good luck with them!

I'd stick in apple or orange slices to raise the RH fast. Boveda will take too long to move the needle on that. And I've never found that using fruit changes the taste or smell of the buds.

Thanks Shed I will try that before I resort to something else. Now I am wondering who it was that recommended Sweet Tooth. Not the highest THC but the buzz is really Great
I still need to go the store and get another trash can for the second run soil so I can get my pots empty
You can try to re hydrate them with orange and lime peelings. Leave them suspended above the product in the bags.
Thanks for the help it is Much appreciated

There should still be enough in the stems to even out the RH. Give it another day, and check again. My bet is that it'll keep rising. Or just put a couple bovedas in there. The few times I misgauged my dry, two bovedas in a quart jar (1 to 1.5 ounces) brought it up within a couple days - got all moist n smelly like it shoulda been.

Gotcha...the sweet tooth was from Barneys?
You really are a genetic/seed nerd! I appreciate your input on the matter a lot! My next lineup is based on your recommendations. Would love to pick your brain sometime...

Isn't the soil toxic the first two weeks?

I have been researching genetics in general, but older genetics and how we got here. Breeder Steve was one of those old breeders and the sweet tooth was of the ones that made them a name in the industry. He had a business falling out with some of those Dutch seed banks and they kept his names and just threw random plants in there. He claims the Barney's is not even close to his original stock. Idk....trying to stay away from adding negative comments, but I am at the point of not buying from that "type" of big seed company.

Yeah, I have read that....but truth be told I don't know if it would be enough to kill a seedling. Starting in a solo cup with straight PM until you have stronger roots then putting them into #1's with the cooking soil.

I think starting that next NH when this one finishes properly is the best idea. You might be behind a couple weeks, but it would be better than being sloppy somewhere on this next run.

FWIW, I'd start your fastest flowering seeds(read breeder quidelines + a week or two) in 1's with promix and some EWC and maybe a bit of bone meal(phosphorous and Calcium) ...don't think it would be a big deal before up potting to your final pots with your new cooked soil...jmo...cheerz... :high-five: :Namaste:...h00k...

Good morning everyone. I checked the bags and the RH came back up after I put one paper bag and buds that I am doing the Low and Slow on in the turkey bags and the RH came back up. Thanks for the info @Derbybud that worked like a charm. They didn't come up evenly though. 1 was at 75% another one at 71%, one was 65% another at 61% and one at 53% I left the paper bag in with the ones that were at in the 50s and 60s for a little longer. I will try taking them out after they come up a little more and put the paper bags back in the fridge so they can finish the Low and Slow process

For the last two days I haven't consumed any cannabis I really wasn't planning to do so but I am glad I did so my tolerance should be lower now and I can enjoy 4/20 month. :yahoo:

I don’t know what it is about being stuck in the house all day without a job, but I’ve been hittin it harder than ever. I think I just smoked a bong bowl then immediately vaped an oven of flower.. it’s out of control.. I’m sitting on my last harvest with this sour Bubba almost 4 weeks in flower so I’m not worried.

Hey PC. How long were buds in Turkey bags before you made changes to up the rh? Should be at least 24 hours. Did you take buds off stems before you put in bags? Best to leave them on stem at least at first because they hold lots of moisture. When I was hang drying I would check buds and temp/rh multiple times per day making adjustments if needed. When you know it's time, the buds will be dry on the outside but still have a little bounce when you squeeze them, stems will bend but not snap. I've read that if you dry past 55 that stops the cure. Adding boveda or fruit peels will not reverse that. Tagging @Mr. Krip in case he can add any science to that. This is a very important step so I had to drop some advice here. Another good test which I'm not sure if you can do (not sure if you smoke) is when you think they're dry enough, roll a doob and if it burns good then you're good to go. Duggan was my mentor too, along with a bunch of other great growers and that's where I got this info. Each grow you do is going to get better and better. Congrats again! :high-five:
