Hey guys. I have some results of backbuilding!

So, to me, it sure looks like its working. I am probably going to snip the tips on a bunch more now that I can actually see it makes a difference.

The first pic is 2 colas. The one on the right was snipped and the one on the left was untouched. Check out the girth difference! The rest are just bud porn. Showing off the frost :)

Re: PakaCordova's First Journal For My First Grow - Dinafem Blue Kush - Soil - Nov 2

Really nice vid, Paka. Love those plants, dude! Next vid you make, you should touch on the timing for back building for those out there that haven't followed your journal. People on Youtube, for instance. It is a bummer to have to go out and buy smoke, isn't it?? lol. Here we are, surrounded by a sea of green and the timing is just off by one little week or two. I jokingly wrote in my journal I keep at home that I need to plan at least 6 Ozs to make it through one grow. With all the troubles I've had with my first Hydro grow, I think that number should be closer to 12-14.
I snipped my girls a couple days ago, but I'm in week 9 (believe it or not) of flower, so not much time left. I wouldn't have even done it, but since my trics are still mostly clear, I figured 'what the hell'. I have 2 in DWC that are in week 3 of flower and I am definatly going to be back building on them. Like you, the moment I saw and herd of this (God....who was that guy???!), I knew I was going to do it. That and you and a few others are going for it..... I'm not going to be left on the side lines!

You have yourself a fan-friggin-tastic week, Paka! You should be walking on air, M8!

T/C, Andy.

Thank you for the kind words, Andy! I really appreciate it. I will definitely add more detail in my next video. I think I was at the start of week 5 of flower for this girl when I clipped her colas. As for the inventor, I saw rifleman do it with his and was like, holy shit! LightAddict was the one who brought the technique to everyone's attention. That dude actually has a few guides on manipulating these beautiful plants. I will grab a link to his backbuilding guide for you and check out his signature for other fascinating methods of manipulation.

LA's Quick Guide To Simple Backbuilding Technique For Buds!

I am really anxious to try hydro, DWC. How are you liking it so far? Any tips to pass along or problems that you ran into that you will / can avoid on your next go? I am going to head over to your journal now. Want to see an amazing DWC setup? Check out Alienpus' grow. The dude is a mastermind with hydro. ....wait a second, I have been to your journal (I can see my likes on some of your posts) but for some reason I am not subscribed to it anymore. Re-subscribed!

Re: PakaCordova's First Journal For My First Grow - Dinafem Blue Kush - Soil - Nov 2

Yep! It was on LA's journal that I found you and also where I learned about Back Building.
I'll check out that other grower in a while.
As for me and Hydro, buddy, I'm sold on it. I'm telling you, the DWC girls I have going are just crazy! I've been brutal on them. Chopping and hacking away because I was really not expecting this kind of growth. This method is definatly not for small enclosures. These critters won't stop and I'm out of room with ??? 5-6 weeks to go? They're doomed! lol. But RDWC is a simple, cheap way to grow, for sure. I'm using just GH Flora nova Grow and Bloom and Cal/Mag (P-300 light) and now using Bud Candy, but that's it! Frighteningly easy.

:thumb::Namaste:

Note; I should add that my DWC girls are a product of my very first cloning attempt. Spawned from two girls that had one hell of a childhood.

Great looking grow... Thanks for the back building tip, just read LA'S thread you listed. Nice, can't be any easier!

I am saving my money now to get a small time dwc setup and will dabble in it very soon. I get anxious just thinking about it.

Very nice Paka

Thanks silly!

Thank you man. no problem. LA brought this to everyone's attention and I cant pass up the opportunity to try it out and share my results. Knowledge should be shared. We are all in the same boat with a common goal :)

Re: PakaCordova's First Journal For My First Grow - Dinafem Blue Kush - Soil - Nov 2

One question, I know it was mentioned but can't remember the answer... At what stage in the grow do you cut the tip of the colas? Where along in the flowering? Thanks

Re: PakaCordova's First Journal For My First Grow - Dinafem Blue Kush - Soil - Nov 2

Hey Paka looking good brother. Andy is right dwc is really easy. Check your ph daily watch your temps and change your nutes every week and your golden. My dwc has been on flower almost 3 weeks. Don't have to water and fiddle around just cruise control and watch them flowers.

Re: PakaCordova's First Journal For My First Grow - Dinafem Blue Kush - Soil - Nov 2

Amazing read paka, looking forward to seeing what your yeild turns out to be. Just helped a family member with his oh idk 3rd or 4th harvest and it's nothing in comparison to what you got going there and he had 12 plants this last time! He's an old school scared of the Internet guy... he's scared to do any lst or pruning but obviously to grow successfuly indoors it's a must.

I know you're new to this to so you may not be able to answer, with main lining, how much space do you think you will need per plant? That girl looks so bushy and I think I saw you say something about it being 4'across! ? I'm among around to learn myself so looking forward to the end result.

I am gonna go for it. I like the sound of cruise control. I just have to keep an eye on temps. My room gets really hot in the summer but I am gonna try some new technology to keep my res temps cool.

Sorry for the late reply. i clipped mine a little after 5 weeks of flower but next time I will try it a little sooner.

Thanks for the compliments man. I was apprehensive with everything I did too because I didnt want to screw anything up. But you miss every shot you dont take. I am excited to see my yield and it's getting close! My trich's are turning and I am letting her ride it out a bit more before I send her packing. Do you have any pics of your buddys harvest? Would love to have a look.

Apr 15, 2015

Got my USB microscope in and was able to take some shots.

The images are watermarked because I had to use an app on my phone since I don't have a laptop to take into my grow room. I just plugged my microscope into my phone and snapped the pics but the software used water marked the images. I cant even buy the app to remove the watermark. Whatever!

Never done a photo here so let's see if I can figure it out... was pretty excited to help him, I never harvested anything before so was a great learning experience.

Here is a picture of the trichomes I took with the camera I was speaking about...

I picked up the camera you recommended and took some pics yesterday. Just wanted to say thanks for recommending that.
