They are noticeably dimmer. I'd like to work em down to around 12" off the canopy, then start intensifying the light.

We'll just have to see what they'll tolerate.

I leaned the hard way myself a couple of grows back. I was using an led for the first time with my seedlings and even though I had the light basically to the top of the tent I melted the face off my little babies lol. I found the dimmer later after it was dimmed down it worked great. Rookie move on my part lol.

That's exactly what I did with my SP250. I dimmed it down and dropped it closer to the plant. For now, when I want to raise the lux I just lower the light. As it grows I'll raise the light and start to raise the watts as well.

It would have been easier if the dimmers weren't on the underside of the driver though...

Thanks for the tip on using the dimmer switch ... I bought the TSL 2000W which is also dimmable ... I'm getting the SP 250 next time though!

Do you guys check your LUX/PAR at canopy height every once in a while to make sure you have the height/intensity correct too?

I don't have the meters to test, I just eyeball it. LoL

Maybe that's why the first group of seedings had to be culled... lol
:hmmmm:

Hey, just browsing threw and came across your thread. I like the look of these new Mars lights.. Going to pull up a chair if that's cool .

You can get smartphone apps to measure lux.. They are not 100% but close enough for this purpose .

Turned the driver up a bit today. Light is at 18", and will likely be there for awhile.

I wanna keep working the dimmer until I have to raise the lights up. I'll turn both lights on & blast these babies through flower.

Funny story... lol

So, I've been keeping some of the seedlings I screwed up, to see if i could nurse em back. My plan was to let those 4 plants finish out in the 1qt pots.

Between yesterday & today, the 2 CBD autos started showing purple growth in the center. Made me chuckle because these girls are known to flower purple.

Pretty sure these crazy ladies are trying to bud already!
