Oz's First Grow - Pyramid Tut In Coco

Thanks L.B....she's a nurse herself ironically so she can look after herself when she gets home :) Again,I'm only joking. I'm the consummate carer :)

Lucky you OZ your wife has a sense of humor. My GF would not be very happy with me if I kidded like that. I always tell her she needs to buy a sense of humor.

You're right about deciding. I'm glad to hear the update. That must have been some massive break for her to be hospitalized. I hope she is perfect tomorrow~or sooner.

Hi G.F....decisions, decisions :) Seriously though, it's all too easy to "dive in"....done it myself lol.....without REALLY planning. First and foremost is reducing your chances of detection. That naturally leads to space and time readily available. From there it's really a question of how, what and how many :)
Mrs Oz has had 3 ops on her elbow previously. Last time she got septic arthritis and nearly lost the arm. This septicemia has returned and they might have to operate again.....hence the prolonged stay. Her elbow is as thick as my thigh......bearing in mind she's 5' nothing, 6 stones wringing wet and a size 6-8........that's pretty swollen. She's a nurse herself and knows what's what so she'll be having me running round like a lunatic for her no doubt lol :)

Hi mate......Well, I call her "Mrs OZ" but actually we're not married. We've been together for 14 months (lived together 12 of them lol) but it seems MUCH longer lol. Marriage??? Nahhhhhh, first I need to divorce the "legal Mrs Oz" if I can track her down lol :)

GOOD MORNING (ish) WEEDETNAM........here's hoping your colas are colossal, your buds behemoths, your trichs are twinkling and your gardens are gorgeously GREEN :)

Well, Mrs Oz is being kept in till Monday at the earliest so.........party at mine if youre interested :) Actually the elbow infection that caused the septicemia first (and second time) around has returned and she's getting treatment for it. I'm off to see her soon....laden with "bits" as you do :)

The Tutts are loving life :) I fed them yesterday with 4ltr (1 gal Trichster :) ) and added 1/2 strength Boost to the nutes. I also did a quick "head" count.....210 "real" viable buds and further 35 smaller ones :) . Some pics are to follow.
The FnV auto got micro topped today too. Hopefully I haven't over done it (or under done it either). The experimental stuff has now begun :)

Tutts....21 days following flip....

Hopefully you can make out the tiny "heart" I removed? That would have been it's 4th node. Not sure if it's the LED light it's under but it looks strange in the pics. I can promise you though it's a VERY health little girl :)

Comments, as always, welcomed :)

Damn good work buddy! :) your one thing that can still make a massive difference to your yield is the leveling!
As you can see in some of the pics your certain girls have already established a dominant colas. You dont want that if possible. So try to get em even as you. If you cant do that completely, then try just working with limbs you can switch out per plant. So you would strap the dom one down lower. Then raise another on plant to become dominant. Switch it out between as many limbs as you can manage every couple of days, if a total even canopy wont work!
Awesome though buddy just no more defol for a bit :) best of buds my friend!

Hi mate. Thanks again for the great info :Namaste: I have been doing bits of leveling but it's finding the best places to pull them to without blocking out the light from others :) I am getting there though and I'll continue with it too. Yeah, that was a MAJOR defol. lol :) Hasn't seemed to have stalled them though so all good I think (hope). Off to visit the ball n chain now mate :)

Ah, that blows. You sound like my perfect husband, sweet, attentive and nurturing. I have been sick for a very long time and my husband has been caring for me for years and years without so much as ONE PEEP. I'm so mean to him sometimes...maybe I should do something nice for him. Geez I'm such a beyotch sometimes...you guys rock.

So OZ, when you trim off the growing tip, I see you remove half way down? Why not all the way to the stem of the top node? I have been using pinching methods forever to bush plants out, but I never saw this where only half the growth is removed at the top. NOT canna plants...I only grew those one time.

Ditto ! I also have a way better half than myself !

Awwww, you ladies are way too kind. :) :Namaste: With me it boils down to how and when (era) I was raised. I was taught that "your" lady was to be loved, cherished and protected and shown total respect. From childhood I was always told to stand up when a lady entered the room, approached or left a table. I open doors, walk on the road side of the pavement......yep, old fashioned values that are often scoffed at these days but, to my way of thinking, there's nothing wrong in good manners. :)
As for the micro topping.....well, as you can guess, it's one of LAs teachings :) The theory (and certainly the practice judging by his results) is to take off just enough to stop growth without causing excessive stress to the plant. Also by doing it early on it minimises any stunting or stalling. Bearing in mind this is an auto (total life span 11 weeks from seed to weed) any lost grow time is critical. LA advocates doing it at 4 true nodes......I've jumped in at 3. As I say, this IS an experiment. It will either be a great learning curve with a happy ending or, worst case, I kill the girl and we all laugh at what a silly old sod that OZ fella is.......including ME :)

Give her our best buddy! :)

Hi mate....I did lol :) Bit of a bugger really, they're keeping her in over the weekend. Up side....no snoring and a decent weekend relaxing (apart from the visits) if you know what I mean :) Downside... errrrrr hang on....there isn't one lol :)

Lol. :) Hi mate....got plenty of both TRUST ME :) On my 2nd Budweiser now....whisky later...then a little toke me thinks :)

I was raised old fashion too. I was taught always use an open hand... My research has led me to the fact that micro topping reduces stress, which can cause hermies. Hard to believe but that little bit that you snipped is plenty and will result in 4 extra tops; right?

Hi Jaamz. Basically its the same as traditional topping just on a much smaller scale. It should result in two heads (as per my flux Tutts). I'm planning on doing a flux style training on it so need to get into it quickly :)
