Oz's First Grow - Pyramid Tut In Coco

Lol....only 8 x 1,000s? I was thinking 10 but if you think 8s enough.......lol :) Originally was going to be today for chop and flip mate. Then I thought 14th Feb but now I reckon that's too long (all the leaves on 2 of the autos are nearly yellow lol). Now I'm planning a flush tomorrow, 1st Feb (3ltrs PH'd water each using Lemon juice to lower PH) same again on Tuesday 4th Feb then chop on Friday 7th. I'll flip the Tutts at the same time and start the auto experiment too :) Not sure whether or not to give the Tutts 27hrs of darkness before new light schedule though? What do you think? :)

Ok, as the headline suggests this is TOTALLY RANDOM......I've discussed "Hempie" grows with Alex and see the appeal...BUT...what if I were to stick 27 old bag seeds into some water and say.....12 of them pop. I then put ALL 12 into a big box (similar to my Tutt girls ones) and let them grow through the 12/12 flower cycle of the Tutts? I remember Mick having "twins" and that wasn't a good thing......BUT, these would be topped once to grow 2 colas each and would literally just have a 10-12 week flowering period.
Your thoughts, suggestions...EXPERIENCES :) ........Please :Namaste: :circle-of-love:

OZ, your thumb is so green you could make anything grow. Thos twins were only because I planted two pods with two beans each. I was too stoned. To realize I'd turned the tray around :) They were separated successfully and are happily fluxing away in their "big ass box".
Your autos look so close to ready I can smell them from here. Good weed OZ.:peace::circle-of-love:

Thanks for the kind words buddy.....I've done a little reading up on it and decided I'll do a few hempies in 2ltr pop bottles just to fill a few gaps between my pots/boxes :) The autos will be down in 8 days so then my fun with the Tutts, auto experiment AND hempies can begin :) Off to pick the ball n chain up from work now mate....catch you soon :)
 
Mate simply experiment away :) I ran with all sorts of daft ideas with training, some have worked others not so much. Just follow your gut is my tip! Although Id done lots of general research into MJ and the basics of growing. The rest especially training I just went with what made sense to me and that particular girls needs. Messing about with bag seed on the side is an awesome way of trying daft things out without worry :)
Ive not done hempies myself but Donpaul and other's get great results :)
I actually did a first today! Ive never properly super cropped a plant before :) Yesterday one of my Haze girls I think the Della, anyway she was getting to tall so 6 branches (everyone) got kinked and bent right down. Its fun lol just some more torture he he!
 
Ahhh, but it's easy for you. You could win a flower show with a dandelion lol :) We lesser mortals struggle :) I did a little research on here and found some good info as always :) I'm going with a totally random baggie hempie grow to A) give a little EXTRA variation to my smoke (talk about a lucky dip lol) and B) because it just make sense to fill the gaps in the tent. They'll get ZERO priorty over the Tutts and Auto and no veg time at all....12/12 start to finish. If I can pull an extra bit of smoke the happy daze, if not......who cares lol :) Some of those seeds MUST be 3 years old lol. Only worry I have is if there are ANY MALES......not good with the Tutts in flower lol.
 
Males are easy to spot! :) well apart from if your my mate lol! Then ya just wing a perfectly proper nice girl in the bin lmao
 
Lol.....not in Thailand there not lol :) Yeah, I'll be keeping a VERY close eye on them for sure :) Be nice to get 12 different "smokes" and not have a scooby whats what lol :)

Generally speaking I'd say to not plant more than one per pot but in this instance with them being just an extra for variation I say go for it buddy :) I'd get them soaking soon that way what Evers guna sprout will of done so wen u flick to 12/12 :)

Great brain?? Me?? Thanks for the Big Up mate but nahhhh, I'm as thick as pig shit in winter lol. That's why I ask so many stupid questions lol :) As for the "baggies"....they'e all having a swim in a whiskey glass at the mo lol :) I've just swilled out 15 x 2ltr pop bottles that I've been collecting in preparation for them :)
So, what you reckon mate.... before flip....27 hours of dark? Will it help in long run? .......See, STUPID questions lol :)
 
Not daft one bit :) I'm not sure I've read many differing opinions ? So who knows, some very established growers use it though. I had a similar moment recently :), I followed some advice to carry on with grow nutes until stretch was done. (I needed good stretch). So I did as said and yeah got some stretch but the massive difference in the budding starting to build at all is massive. So now I know either mix between grow and bloom or just go bloom. Tighter better established buds! :)

On the 27 hour darkness...... Iv went 24h before without noticeable difference but I no some ppl swear it induces flowering quicker.
Upto u I day doubt it's guna hurt or hinder so u decide :)
LA :) I went strate to flower nutes this time. So u don't advise sticking with veg nutes through stretch? Iv always changed at the flip. Once upon a time I would flush before flip but now I don't bother I just start flower feed the feed after the flip
 
Yeah, I've heard lots of Yes n No's for it mate. I'm currently on at 6am/off midnight. Going to go 9 - 9 at flip. Think I think I'll give it a go. :)
 
Alex yep the going to flower is better as long as you have some good vert going on. AG has got some great input on this subject :) He goes with a graduated switch or mix whatever lol. made a lot more sense the way he backed it up!
 
Get that vertical going mate :) I'm at around 8-10" on most but I have got some bud sites that are no more than 1-2" lol. I've had to keep some low to get them into good positions for when they do take off LOL :)

Hey Oz & co, just caught up with your grow mate, been busy this week getting my grow started. Looking at those autos brother I reckon I will give them a try next. Your room looks awesome, hey just a quickly, do I need to run exhaust fans with lights out or just with lights on. All the best OZ, hope those autos turn into nice choof

Hi Glen...glad you're back mate. Thanks for the kind words too my friend :) :Namaste:. Regarding the extract fan...I tended to leave mine off during lights out but once the autos went into flower I left it running 24/7. I had to leave intake on too because the neg pressure nearly imploded the tent lol :) It's good to change the air regularly anyway lol :) Autos are something I'll always do going forward I think. Easy to do and looking at the results so far I'm very happy :)

Ok guys n gals........the boy was around earlier and we flushed the autos and fed the Tutts. Got the loupe out to take pics and nearly fainted at the amount of amber now on three of the autos (2 x FnV and the LA Diva). So, the plan now is to chop TOMORROW :) Have a look at the pics and tell me what YOU think. To be fair, we couldn't right in tight on the ambers but they ARE there. Also, chop time means FLIP for the Tutts....so, BIG day tomorrow :)
