Overlord's Adventures With High Brix

High OL,
Looks cherry from here.
I got the same/similar unit.
:goodjob:

Thanks @Stage , this was the only thing missing last harvest and kept me from trying to cob.
I had the light as a priority, next is to replace my veg lights.

OL,
What light(s) are you considering for your veg?

Since my veg area is basically a stainless steel restaurant shelving unit, I will probably go with the Ray 44's from Fluence.
I will (hopefully) be replacing my current light with their SpyderX Plus tonight.
From what others here are telling me they run cooler than most, & can be placed within 6" of the canopy.
The Ray series is similar but like a single bar version, and everything would be on the same spectrum. Should use less energy and run cooler over all.
That is what I am thinking, but will be a bit before I make a move.
I want to see how the SpyderX performs first.

M’lord.... I don’t expect you to follow along - I’m hempy and the kit girls keep you busy enough - but I’d like to share the joy of my opening post with you. It’s the current grow in my signature. :battingeyelashes:

Update:

Had the day off, managed to do a few things that have been needing to be done for a few weeks.

Also put the new light together and hung it. I realize my gear board will be in the way of the light bars, although I think I see a way to make it work but that is a project for another day. Right now the light is above the gear board and 9' above the largest plant (TheDungeon), but is recommended at 6"

The smallest plant (IC91) is 24" away from the light, @Van Stank had some that were farther away than 6" but don't know how much exactly.

There is no doubt this light covers a 4X4, as the light is nearly 4X4 itself fully assembled. Pretty much plug &play on the assembly, but I did have to adjust the postions of the light bars a bit for more even distribution (real easy).

Gave the top soil a heavy misting of water, and gave the plants a brix/snake oil spray. I am sure they were glad to get it as they have suffered a few setbacks.

Had to replace the electrical outlet everything is plugged into. The plugs fit way too loose in them and as a result I lost power to them twice for unknown lengths of time.

The only plant I noticed that this affected was the Pugsbreath Serena cut which is in the cloner. Looks to me she decided to go into flowering a bit and her top fan leaves curled up.
Transplanting all clones tomorrow night, so we will see what she decides to do.

I guess that's it for now, here are a few pics.
