Outdoor Mixed Seeds Northern Ca Varieties Twreck Purps and Misc

Alright, so I went over my parents house and found my 3 in 1 moisture/ph/light meter. I came home and checked all the pots and they were at the 1 which is in the red. The plants weren't drooping or anything, they look fine so I watered them thoroughly last night. I didn't want to take the risk of them drying out(Sacramento, CA, it's HOT) before I woke up. That's it for now, the Veg stage is a little boring, but I love the whole process. :slide:

So I went outside to check on the soon to be girls and found a male plant ALREADY. It was a tall lanky one, I took a closer look at it has male pods, there's no doubt about it. Here are a few pictures.

I also checked the rest to make sure, no pods or hairs yet!

To be totally honest, I didn't like the plant because of the way it was growing in the first place. All of a sudden it had a spurt of energy vertically and it raised my eyebrows. If it grew fat, I'm good with that. :) Anyways, back on track(unkown kush pretty heady :rasta:), so I noticed something didn't look right(males usually grow in my experience lanky and tall, and it's too early for that fast of vertical growth) . I go in for a closer look, and low and behold a male this early in the season. I have never had a male show this early, but it sure is one. The little banana bunches are a dead give away, look like little ball sacks. I live in CA and flowering doesn't usually begin until aug- mid august depending on how much sun or shade your spot gets. Thought I'd share a bit more, finding a male this early is a FIRST for me. :peacetwo:

Hey all, it's been a few days so I figured an update and pictures were in order. :) I think I may have a caterpillar or something eating a layer of the leaf(1 plant nothing major), so I sprayed them this evening with some 3 n 1 Safe Soap I had laying around. I think it's like 70 percent neem oil(if I remember correctly), it works great and you can use it real close up to harvest(I think a week or two). I also gave them a thorough watering and 800ml(half tsp each per gal, very diluted, mild was a full tsp so I went lower) each of catalyst and micro from Earth juice(I used two gallons, little left over went to my veggies :)). So that's the word, thanks for looking. :smokin:

Well, I found out what was eating my leaves on one plant(My favorite plant too :() It looks to be a tiny little dark brown/black little worm or caterpillar. I killed him and didn't see anymore, but I'll definitely keep my eye's WIDE OPEN. Anyone know what the black worm is called? It looked like a tiny caterpillar, maybe an eighth inch long or so. Hopefully I don't have any more issues with those suckers. :)

Man, the caterpillars love the plant that I like the BEST. I found another one, this one was green and bigger, it was under one of the leaves feeding away. I killed him and didn't find anymore on my other plants. I will reapply the Safe Soap in a few days. Other than that, there looking FINE!! :)

I'm going to give them a bath tonight, with a little dish soap added. The last couple evenings I've giving them a good foliar spray with just plain water. They seem to like it.
:riskybusiness:

I forgot to mention that it looks like the hairs are withering away so there(4 of them) not going to flower. I don't know what triggered them (cold nights for this time of year, all I can think of), but it looks like there reverting back to veg. Way too early to flower here in the surrounding Sacramento County. I'm glad they didn't, they were immature, I want full grown momma's, not midgets(No disrespect intended). :) That's all for now.
