Outdoor Growing With BeezLuiz

The thought had occurred to me. I need to work up the courage. :laughtwo:

OK, I got some courage and bent 3 of the tallest stalks on Runtz #1. I might do the other plant tomorrow.

Nice smooth bends, not a kink in the bunch- excellent job, Beez!
Although, kinks don't hurt anything, just a bit ugly is all...:cheesygrinsmiley:

Hi Everyone :green_heart:, sorry for the lack of posts lately. All is well in BL world, just been a little crazy busy lately. I hope to get an update posted soon, and to visit some journals as well. :circle-of-love:

It's time for a much-needed update on the state of my weed hobby. :surf: All is going well, and almost on cruise control. My winter grow is now my spring grow. I started these in December, thinking they would be finished by March, but I didn't anticipate the cold temps of this year's winter. The plants were almost dormant for a couple months, but are now in full swing.

Obama Runtz #1
This plant is looking really good to me at 126 days from sprouting above ground. The leaves are a deep green - maybe too green?
The buds are frosting up nicely at 43 days from flipping the lights to 12/12. It's probably still 3 or 4 weeks away from a harvest window. Yikes.

Obama Runtz #2
This looks very similar to #1, with the same start and flip dates. The only difference has been the timing of transplanting into a larger pot, so it's a bit smaller than #1. I left it in a 1/2-gal pot for a month longer than #1.
The leaves are the same deep green and the buds are also frosting up nicely.

Miss Ashley
This one is also doing quite well, at 124 days above ground. It's leaves are also a deep green, but maybe a little less so than the Runtz plants.
It was flipped on the same day as the others so it's also 43 days from flip. It's frosting up nicely as well. It seems to be approaching harvest window a little faster than the others, as the pistil stigmas are beginning to change color now.

Summer Grow
I have indeed started a summer grow for this year. :yahoo: I haven't bought any new seeds in a while because I'm trying to use the ones I already have before they are no longer viable.
I had a little difficulty getting some of the seeds to germinate, but now have the following selection:
Sensi Cheese and GelatOG (hopefully) for me; White Widow, Dresden Green Diamond, Alaskan Purple (hopefully), and Granddaddy Purple for my son; White Widow and Purple Haze for my son's friend.
Two of the sprouts are still a little iffy - Gelat and Alaskan Purple. They're still very tiny and not doing much growing. If neither of these two survive, I'll have to soak something else.

That's the current state of my garden... along with about 25 tomato sprouts and about a dozen pepper seedlings. Here's to some nice weather ahead.

They do seem pretty green but if you're feeding like you usually do they're probably fine. What are they eating these days?
I'm feeding them the same as my last summer grow, which is the Prescription Blend nutrients that I won in a "Nug of the Month" contest. I'm feeding at the recommended doses. They worked out really well for last summer's grow, and so far I'm happy with the results of this winter grow.

Nice update Beez! Super mega ultra frost on the Spinter grow! ❄️❄️❄️ Plus cute little bebes. Gelato OG and Alaskan purple were a couple of Mr. H’s faves, so I hope they straighten up. They look to me like they’ll bounce back for you. Grow baby grow!!🌱🌱

Here's a mostly pictorial update of my winter/spring grow. All three plants are still looking fine and at 8 weeks since flip, they are getting close to a harvest window - maybe 2 more weeks. Surprisingly, I haven't had a single yellow leaf on any of the three plants yet. It's never happened, especially this late into flower. :hmmmm: I have no explanation for it, but I'm certainly not complaining.

Miss Ashley
Maybe a week ahead of the other two...

Obama Runtz #1
The bud structure is not as robust as Miss Ashley, but still dense and quite a bit more frosty.

Obama Runtz #2
Very similar to #1, just a bit smaller due to being in a 1/2gal pot for several weeks longer. It was finally transplant to 3gal pot after it started to flower.

Today's update is on the upcoming summer grow: Sensi Cheese, Dresden Green Diamond, White Widow, and Granddaddy Purple.

As I mentioned a few weeks ago, I've had difficulties getting some of my seeds to germinate. Not surprising since some of them are 4 years old, at least. Then I had two of the sprouts stall - Gellat.og and Alaskan Purple - and they eventually died. I started my last Alaskan Purple seed and it seemed to be doing fine. However, a few days ago I set it outside with my other plants and unfortunately I forgot about. I had planned on leaving it out for a couple hours, but ended up most of the day. The wind had picked up and dislodged it from its support and severely bent it at its base. Here it is yesterday:

Since I am certain it will eventually die, I went to a dispensary yesterday and bought a replacement:

I asked the person helping me what kind of light schedule their clones are kept at. I was informed 24hrs of light. He suggested adjusting my lights by 4 hours each day until I get them to the current daylight hours, which is 15.5 hrs. I'm going to give that a try, and hope they don't go into premature flowering.

The Granddaddy Purple and Sensi Cheese are pretty tall and lanky, so today I topped them above node 4.

They are pretty much ready to go into their outside homes now, but my hydroponics shop won't be getting a new shipment of FFOF until today. I hope to grab a few bags and get these into a larger home. The Sensi Chesse will go into my Earthbox SIP system and the China Cat will go into a 20 gallon fiber pot. The other 3 will go into 10 gallon fiber pots and will be grown by my son.

My winter grow is getting very close to harvest - maybe next week. Here's a pic of Obama Runtz #2.

I actually tried a tester bud from it a couple days ago. It was really good! Didn't last very long, but that's usually the case with "early" harvests. I have high hopes.

So much lank on the summer grow! I'd be looking forward to burying those on upcan.

Can't wait to see those big pots on wheels this summer!

Oh, and the frost on Obama...

Should be interesting to watch that transition. I'd put my money on early flower but I 100% hope I'm wrong.
