Outdoor Balcony 1st Grow - Northern Spain

Thank you all for the kind words and advice.
Hmm, more lights right now means I´d have to run a cable out there, probably through the wall. I think I´ll wait and see how this lot turn out before I can justify bringing out the toolbox.
All the same, if I was to use a light, what kind would be most appropriate?

I just got back from a few days holiday in London, great city. I had watered and fed the plants on the night before we left. Anyway, four days later and they all looked good apart from what I think is a little nute-burn on two of them.

Since they were also becoming root-bound, I moved them into bigger pots, where they will stay til they´re pulled.
I also discovered a few bugs, so I sprayed a little insect killer (for plants) although I am checking up on chemical-free solutions to that problem if it comes up again.

So, here they are, Big Bud are in the white pots, Top44 in the brown ones.

Until next time :thankyou:

Nah looks more like overwater to me, or the pH in the water you use is too high/low? Or maybe its due to them being root bound, meaing in a week or so they should be recovered now that they're in bigger homes.

Looking good HalfOrange. I think that those plants are fine. I dont see any Nute burn. In fact the leaves will intake nutes and water also, so if there was a drop of water that was kinda acidic on a leaf, the acidic water could also leave marks like that. On a few of my plants leaves there are spots like that. I think they call it "nute splash". Nothing to worry about. In fact I would bet that the plants have taken to the bigger pots and are much bigger by now.
When you get a chance put up some more pics.

Visit my journal when you get a chance. My plants are week younger than yours.

Hi all, as you see I´m still here even if I haven´t posted much lately.
I unfortunately have one of those jobs that gets busier in summer so time is one thing I don´t have much of :(

Anyways, like many people I have one thing on my mind at the moment:

:cheertwo: SEX :cheertwo:

I really need help telling the sexual inclination of my plants, I have studied a few pics and guides but I´m not 100%. So heres a photo of each plant, if you can help please leave a quick reply, it will be much appreciated.

Hi again to anyone still watching. I hope you´ve all had an excellent summer:ganjamon:

OK as I stated in the begining of this journal, the direct light on my balcony isn´t really enough for a proper grow. As a result these plants stay in veg way too long, even now I have two, as yet, unknown sex.
Another pair showed as males and one I´m sure is female. Its all good, I´m patient by nature.
Apart from the sex saga there was some epic battles with whiteflies and caterpillars. When the war was over and the dead were tallied I was declared victor ;)

Heres the pix. (I´ll post some bug (no not buD) porn at a later date)

Be happy.

My wife is the same way when I had to take down 2 boys she thought I was killing Bambi!

I had 8 plants to start and have chopped down to 2, there were 3 females but one grew and hit my ceiling so I topped it, then its new tops grew and hit the ceiling, so I had my growing buddy take a look and he said "If you can't plant it outside(which I wish I could) then you should probably cut it down and focus on the plants that are growing normally"

I just chop em down and throw em in my fire pit.

Looking fantastic keep up the great work!

HI all ;)

Sorry for the extended hiatus but it couldn´t be avoided (for reasons I won´t bore you with here). Contrary to popular opinion (my friends say I´m too lazy to finish anything) my grow was successfully completed. I´ll continue from where I left off last July:

It took a loooong time to sex all the plants but I was left with only two females at the end, one Top44 and one Big Bud.. The males were let loose on the Spanish countryside and one is in the plaza near home (to keep an eye on him, he´s doing quite well actually).

The low amount of direct sun meant it took forever for the two remaining plants to mature and show any signs of "amberness". I finally had to chop them on the 2nd of October. I would have liked to give them another 10 days or so but there were signs of mildew and the return whiteflies.

So I trimmed, flushed and manicured the plants, left them to hang for a few weeks and a dry dark airy cardboard fridge box. The buds survived with absolutely no mold and are currently being cured in a mason jar in my fridge.

I test drove the product at the begining of the cure and again today. I have mixed both bud types together and it has improved to a nice long-lasting high that sneaks in slow and mellow then pulls the trigger for trippy town... :rollit:

All in all I´m well satisfied with the grow as a learning experience and next time I´ll heed advice and boost the daylight with artificial additions.
Many, many thanks to the users and staff of these forums your help and advice, I only wish I could share a smoke with each of you ;) you deserve it.
:thankyou:
