I went out before daybreak to check if they need water today. Some decent explosive growth happening! The pics are not so great I was out just before sun rose. My earlier concern about deadfall.... Valid concern , several dead poplar trees fell all over and around my plants... So lucky they did not get crushed!!!!! lol anyhow here is a grainy picture bomb update....

Auto males exhibit rapid growth weeks before the assumed auto females. Still waiting on females to sex.... All plants were almost lime green a few days ago when I fed Growology #3. With heavy rainfall since the feed it took a few days for the nutes to kick in and they are! The green has darkened and obvious noticeable growth since my last visit. Yesterday was a hot sunny day , one day of sun makes a huge difference! I am leaving the males to grow wild and see what comes of them , one upright male has huge clusters of male flowers already dispersing. Poly Male is starting vigorous growth and looks like it will be upright soon (It was mauled by ravens... Knocked over) Romulan is bushing out like crazy , not quite sure but I think she is revegging... That means she might be out there till middle of september lol unless she goes back to flower or something. Cheers all ty for readin....

What a hot clear sky day! Lil chemtrail action this morning but seems ok I am stuffy n all n a bit groggy but starting to feel better.
I was not satisfied with the pics I took yesterday and also I knew they need food so I went out and fed them. Using Growology #3 1 tablespoon per gallon (As per instructions) and went to town feeding. Plants are growing at a fast pace and females are starting to show , no hairs yet really though. These autos are slower than my last batch so I will be winging it for when I should harvest.

Looking good WildRosebud! :high-five:
The growth looks very lovely.
How far are your males away from the females? Are you gonna harvest the pollen or let mother nature send it where she may?

I will brown bag pollen from the poly DCxLR male to the romulan grapefruit when he pops open more and select females. I got one real tall hefty male auto prolly a PPLRxPPLR I wanna let him breed too. Not exactly sure what I want to do at this point since the females are not totally sexed yet.

Dang I gotta remember to bug the seed bank to send me them Deep Chunk Indica seeds (Not available in stores) Of all plants I seen in person or on forums those things are so super beefy and poly like mad.... I am fortunate that Deep Chunkolate had some of these traits passed on and double lucky that trait seems dominant in my crosses. But for back crossing I really want to get that darn indica.... I can't just breed auto's for myself.... I am thinking a wonderful cross would be Ladybug OG with Deep Chunk.

Are you going to collect the pollen and inseminate the girls or are they close by so you letting mother nature do it's thing?

They look great btw ! :circle-of-love:

Oh and I am asking because I just found one random seed in my balcony girl and was wondering how can it be possible. I been seeing dead bees around, and I don't know how outdoor pollination works.

This is a valuable question that I can answer....
The answer is in the bees.
The answer is in mother natures breeze ;)
In the Kush mountain regions where borders collide cannabis is grown thick and is said that pheno's from wind pollination are noticable hundreds of miles from each other.
Birds eat seeds n poopem out.
Bees like the aroma of bud and male pollen sacs they also catch pollen in the air as they ride the breeze. Our clothes can do same thing as bees. A brown bag is usually my method of artificial "Bee style pollination"
You ask the awesomest questions I hope I was of help lol

Thank you very much! I couldn't figure out if the bees had anything to do with it. I am not bothered by getting seeds in my buds, actually I love having more seeds, and if it happens without me actually doing stuff it's better.

Thanks again for answering.

Don't thank me you are a part of this journal as much as I am and you just help build it more. THANK YOU!

Here's another question then!!

Any idea if pollen can still be viable after sitting in a outdoor or in semi outdoor conditions for a year?

Last summer I had a male which I finished ( for learning purposes because all the girls died ) didn't pick up pollen from it either :wood: oh I am such a noob.

I was curious how a male looks like, and just abandoned him on the balcony so he spread his love all over the house...

Before this summer grow I tried my best to clean up after him ( guys are so dirty !!! ) and I am sure I didn't do it 100% since there are stuff stored there too.

Could pollen actually still survive in such conditions and still be good to pollinate a girl after a year?

Stranger things have happened lol , pollen tends to be killed by moisture and time usually if stored can last 6 months or so maybe longer. As for dormant pollen no idea ;) same boat as you...
