Our Ongoing Grows

Don't matter,,, I done got abit of them Mother Fucking Mite mites...................... Lost the Sugar Plum/Purpit.......... I'll never use old soil again... Nor grow clones................. I lie,,,,, BUT I still have my Cripit....

And I just threw her in the flower room.... Clones of plants that been washed enough with treatments that the leaves aren't enjoying life. But they are 100% clean.... I did want the strain I guess????????????

Ok I also like my Puppy...
And I do have one in veg making it easy to be 100% sure and able to clean,,, and survive the treatments?????? And I did take acouple cuts for my next flip indoors... So I rooted two buds and will hope a serious monster crop happens my next flip indoors seeing my jars are empty??????????

Anyways it goes,, as of now I still have a Strawberry Amnesia,, good one that one,,, a Puppy,, a gelato, and Cripit in flower now as well as in the cloner now....Cept Puppy here's buds I cloned? And I still got her growing.........

Damn mites, again? Balls! Sorry dude. I think this CO2 think I have is working! I run CO2 over some plants for a night and BAM! No mites. I think eggs survive, maybe. I gassed a few large plants and it was hard but it worked. A small box of clones would be super easy to quarantine and Gas several times to be sure the mites are completely gone.

So I think I am in line to buy a house here in Albany. It's a shit hole, but it will be my shit hole. I am a fixer-upper, it will be good times. AND I can grow indoors! I don't really know the size of the set up but It would be sweet if the first run was the BD!

Cheers,

Just as long as the foundation is good, all else can be repaired. Foundations could be fixed too, but that requires a lot of money or a lot more effort. I hope the line works in your favor though!

So I harvested one more this morning that was infected with the mf a few weeks ago and went through quite a bit of spraying but I eventually got some semblance of control over the bastiges.

Should I just destroy the old soil? I'm guessing I should to be 100% safe but interested in any way to salvage it if possible. Can it be sterilized by cooking it above 350 degrees F?

I'm no expert but I think I'd start out fresh with new soil. I could be wrong tho :)

I read somewhere that 105 degrees will kill them good luck jim!

Shit can that SHIT @MagicJim Yea you 'could' sterilize it but then you have to start over with your amendments. I 'think' if you had a hard winter too,, 'Should' freeze them SOB's. I mean a cold winter. and while it's below freezing add water till it's a solid block of god damn ice...... Then when it thaws,,, break out a flame thrower and fry till toasty,, then throw in away anyways??????????? Just my thoughts... Seeing I had to battle them last year,, and I threw the top half of my soil away and replaced. But we had a mild winter last one... And they do 'winter' over without food. I guess they can live on root mass or something over the winter... Besides,, decomposing roots in the soil will probably generate enough heat to keep them alive,, besides being something organic to feed on? Just my thought on that....

All I've heard about the little bastards is the migrated north from clones operation that people have been picking up down in Cali.. Super Borgs.... Spider mites got nothing of these......

I did bring a plant in from outside to finish up in the flower room... I've looked her from head to toe and she's clean???? I even put on my glasses this time.. She's a 4' Puppy that's like 5+ weeks in... And I'm counting on her to fill afew jars...

Bout the ONLY way, I found to deal with them is take a clone off what you 'really, really' wanna keep. Start them in a clean area and once rooted and you see alittle new shit. Spray it with Safer's Soap. I mean massage it in till every pore' or stoma', has had a got soaking. I run my hands around them to make sure I haven't missed anything. Kind of like jerking off your plant.. Safer's is good shit, or green cleaner works well. But I do it every other day as long as you aren't frying your plants. 1/2 oz per quart with the safers and it won't fry a plant. You can even rise the cuts 15-20 minutes after spraying and your plants will love the rise,, alot... And use a small pot. Don't throw that clone that your wanting to treat in a big pot at first... To much soil to spray and plenty of places to hide while your treating. And keep leafage to a minimum.

But that is IF you have a strain you really want. Much easier to pop a seed.. I 'don't think' they can live on a seed's shell??????????? Or can they?

Butthead is hanging in there.. We actually got a Blood Sugar reading of 250 yesterday after another increase of insulin... It was at one time over 600 afew times.. Norm is around 150 but I can live with 200-250. He did feel better running around abit yesterday. Today it was 315. Got to be careful dosing.. Don't want to go low to fast while figuring out his dosage.. I just wish he'd put on alittle weight. When he eats,, he eats alot.

I have to switch off between that vet food and the Purina#1. He's eating more now than when he was normal...

I've got alot of muscle mass lost to atrophy? My arms and legs shrunk abit over the years,,, but Butthead is really frail now.. Hopefully, he's put on a pound come next weigh in? Some dogs can live a long life if treated proper... Just as long as I don't see pain in him,, we going to keep him going and hopefully get his dosage and diet worked out..... And get his sugar leveled out..

Hope all's good out there and their gardens are doing great... I know I haven't gotten around much lately but I'm slowly making my rounds trying to catch up on afew journals each day sorry..

He's alittle read with abit more information on these royal pain in the asses............

Living inside the stem explain why these are so hard to get rid of amost other things;;

Shit can that SHIT @MagicJim Yea you 'could' sterilize it but then you have to start over with your amendments.
I 420% agree with this...If it kills the bugs, it'll also kill all the microbes in the soil. Throw the old shit in a compost pile and start fresh! :goodluck:

I don't think I'd even throw that shit in the compost pile... Get it as far away for your home as humanly possible???? These things can winter over like said,, and they float on a breeze which could reinfect your grow next year.. Take it and dump it along some railroad tracks somewhere in Tim Buck Too...

My yard should be easy to get rid of them seeing it's 80% concrete.. But before spring I'm going to have every spec of dirt gone outta my back yard.. And Time to go back to the nursery next spring for 12-15 bag of Black Gold...

But are they coming from the nursery? Possible,,,,, for sure.... So my plan in getting the bags as soon as they open with fresh bags? Before they sit there for any length of time...........

Hey Brother!

I tried to PM this to you, but it said I was unable to start a conversation with you. Not sure if it's a system issue or some personal setting, but here's the note:

Thanks for the drive-by. That KIND journal is pretty much completed but I've had a new sponsored grow up for a few weeks, now, here:

Sponsored Grow: Krip Keepers Frost Fest Featuring Mars SP-250 In Mars 4' x 4' Tent

My Tales from the Krip journal will also stay active even with the sponsored grows going on.

Hope all is going well with you, Miss J & Butthead! Stay healthy, Brother! You got a lot of people, dogs & plants to take care of! ;)

Best wishes,

K

We still joke about our New Years party from 2010 ... Huge bonfire ... Southern Comfort ... Wild Turkey ... the list was endless ... and at the end we just mixed all the bottles in a large mixing bowl and passed it around the circle till it was empty ... friends and good times :)
