Our Ongoing Grows

I address the height issue by raising the plants when needed.
To be honest, I feel like the lights on top are at just the right height for the finished plants, so I'm just tickled pink with the overall config.

Last I left AF's thread, we were loosing tools.... I'll take anyone's thread for a left turn.

I'm not at all questioning the effectiveness of this method, just that the space/environment has to be "right" and there are some limitations.

If, for example, you had a large grow in a room with 12' ceilings, you might have quite a number of plants that need to be raised quite a ways. Same with a tent if you were using the tent to veg as well as flower. If you're growing in hydro with some of the RDWC systems, as another example, you may have problems elevating the system to a good height, etc.

That being said, I was very impressed with the idea and commented so just following the post I referenced. If your space & grow style are suitable, it's just a GREAT way to reduce the heat and add some headroom.

And we're OFF to the RODEO......................

This strain Puppies are a temperamental plant........... She looks to have a water problem... But then she always does........................

Funny, mine do too. I thought it was me, glad to see its the strain.

Cheers

Look at few plants on left.

Lol

Yep, I gave up on my tent for now. Plus side, I'm starting week 4 of flower, 30 days till chop. Hopefully its cooled off by then and tent goes back up.

Cheers

Thanks all. BTW this is my Idea of downsizing? Yea is by a long shot.
Yea the Puppies are temperamental there Miller... They all are the same plant. Ask Lazyfish. His behave the same. Once they get used to it they start looking better. They don't do heat well,, till adjusted... I just looked in on them, and they looks great.. We'll see when the lights fire tonight.

@Amadeus Forzin his setup looks great really. Like Tead was saying,, raise the plants to the light. Alot of ways to get it out of there,, it being heat..GL all and Keepem Green

Still 90°, now. But my hoop house peaked at 109°, plants look good, real good. Thank goodness for potash. Plants would not clear the heat without it. I still can't believe you are growing in your garage with this heat. Cooltube or not, temps are crazy. 109° in a 5x5 tent will kill plants, outside its just a crappy day. Nevertheless, your plants are doing quite well and its only a few more months till October and tent season is back.

Cheers

I'm not growing in my garage. I'm growing in my flower room. Damn I could only imagine growing in a sealed tent out there............. Man temps wood kill. A cool tube will get rid of 90% of your tents tho,, with a proper ductwork system. I have done it more than once.
But I'm doing this in my spare room that has been converted to a flower room. It's a 10X12 room. With that floor vent,,, that use to be the central HVAC unit vent removed and sucking cool air from under. I run my inline fan at say 50%. This fan is about 1,000 Cubic foot per minute... It's on constant, switching over 500 cubic foot , so you do the math how often it turns over the air, and temp in that room. My intake feels like an A/C unit pumping straight cool air in when I turn up the fan. Temps outside are,,, hang tight...

80 and lights just came on,,, 76 in there. But I know it will hit 80 easy tonight. Even if I turn up the intake..

As long as you keep a good air flow,, it works wonders... My outdoor plants sit in dirt. Perched 3 1/2 inches over an oven temp of the concrete in the sun. Sucks,,, but what am L going to do?

Indoors the girls are adjusting. I have 4 under HID, 4 under LED and 2 plants in the overlap, which is a puppies and a Gelato.
Here's after the lights fired;;

I might have another pic or two on the camera....

OK acouple more from outback... This Blueberry is looking sharp;;;

And we have another of the Fast Ones,,,

And just feed this one,,, and she needs more soil for breathing room.. Which will be there tomorrow.

Indoors is 81 now with 40% R/H,,, sweet with me..

BTW I did mean to say tonight, I flooded all the plants with a 75% dose of the Remo nutrients. Closer to the lower side. Normally I have flood tables. But I do expect some higher temps in acouple days. Well, today was pretty hot. Temps are hitting 81.2 with lighting 28" overhead. But I do have acouple feet overhead,,,, and a dimmable ballast, she's on 110% now. But all plants were feed, till runover,, and giving acouple hours to suck up any liquid if needed.. Then Miss J, and me, pulled the drip pans and drained. Least I know they got a dose.

Whats sad,, is I am probably giving them more than they need. I did amend the soil with blood/bone meal, EWCs, triple rock phosphate and a splash of guano. That's what I add as a starter charge in my soils. I ran that in the first 1-gallon pots.
But we going to see if or what pumps out the prettiest buddage.

Hey those temps sound good to me. I came home to 88 in my GR. I prefer it 81 82 max...

The yard is looking real good, especially those small trees near the pool. I wish I had all those nice plants or a pool... mainly those plants.

Thanks,,,, but I do havee acouple kind of confused plants growing in the overlap... I wonder IF I should turn these... Just to find out?????????????

Thanks you guys.

Well, I got lights come on just shy of 10 pm. Seems to be the coolest time of day. I like to dose plants with a blast to get flowering underway. I'm going to slip alittle extra dose of cal/mag in on the in the next few days. Alot of plants scream for that during the transition. Puppies ain't no different. I guess just like kids and bones, they all can use alittle extra as they grow in that rapid state.

For the record,, the plant are all between 16-18" tall. All have been topped alittle cept the runt in the overlap. She's about 15" I have them in 5-gallon pots.

I was looking at these Remo Nutrients. They are on the costy side. About 450$ for a gallon of each.. I'd imagine they got a discount code or something from here. But lets see if they do alittle something first. But I do have to get something for the outdoor girls. And I'm out of alot of the GH product I've been using.

I'm thinking one feeding a week. Unless someone yells out.

Damn yeah that ain't cheap! I'll bet money if you email them they'd send you some product. Maybe not but hey never hurts right?!
