This wasn't the real C-99 it was a freebie I got from somewhere.11 flower. I think it was G-13's breeders variant. Nothing special. And woodn't do this one again.. I had 3 Brothers Grim seeds,, and didn't get a plant from them.


But bad news so far,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,, the sweet tooth isn't cracking............ Guess I'mm going to have to work with them as HARD to crack seeds.............. I take my pocket knife and scrape around the seed at the meeeting point of the seed shells........... Makes it easier for a tap root to express itself.....................

I only have 5 seeds of the sweet tooth from Barney's. I have grown BC Bud's variant and that was no where close to anything I've ever seen..... I bought 5 seeds hoping for a plant... 2 seed left guess I'm going to have to work or one of these ???????? I'll just have to whittle on the last 2 and hopefully I'll get something that ill crackkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkk or I'll beat the shit outta it

I don't do anything special with my seeds.... I don't freeze them, I don't freeze before planting? So long as they stay cool and not fried by sunlight hell I've grown seeds 10 years old NP. I have grown out a seed that I bought the first month I posted here recently that was 08???
Shit damn near ever seed I've gone thru lately????? Shit 90%............. Outta the last 100. Ofcourse these are prime seed recently bought... And is a MILLION seeds out there. But like said this one is a hard one... And one of their earlier strains.... Maybe acient seed????? Maybe she needs help? Besides the little pop the cap off the feeders we all do.... This one might need alittle more. Just alittle scrape around the ridges.... Some like to use a matchbook and acouple pieces of sandpaper between and shake... I use a pocket knife and scrape the ridge.... NOW if I COULD see the SOB.......................

But I never even 'Soak' mine. I do paper towel. Pure white,,,, not racist, but no ink or softeners, Wet till runoff stops, wrap in plastic wrap. Place on a heat source,,, between 72-82????????? close enough.... Gereneraly a tap root within 36 hours for a good viable seed... Don't get me wrong,,, I don't throw failed seeds away,,,, I place them in a corner of the pot,,,,, just incase????????????? And some have not spouted untill spring?????? Keepem Green

Most of the time I'm same, minus the plastic wrap.. temps, I wouldn't know, stick them in the kitchen cupboard..

I like to put them on a damp white plain paper towel. Fold it up into a square shape and seal it up in a Ziploc sandwich bag. Put it in a cupboard. Bag holds in moisture. Works for me

I'm cheap..... Plastic wrap is more cost effective...... JK kind of. You know as along as you keep 100% humidity on them,,, all the same... I've always been a stickler for temps. Plastic wrap is a tighter seal and keeps it 'alittle' warmer... And I also try to have the soil temp as close to the temp of the towel you germinated in. You can shock the hella outta a seed with a major change. I put my seeds somewhere the temps are afew degrees over ambient. 80 degrees And I use that thermometer to make sure temps match pretty close when I stick the tap root in dirt.. Afew degrees,,,, all good. But don't take something sitting at 80 degrees and throw it in a 65-degree dry' soil and knock on wood,,,,, I always pre wet the soil at planting time also. I'd imagine them fire hairs hitting a dry soil can't be too good??

i like to do it on folded up paper towel white no ink on the kitchen counter r/o water with a touch of aloe i haven't done the plastic wrap method but I'm going to try that next time every once in a while ill get one that won't pop if it doesn't pop in a week i toss it!

When I first started I was using a heat mat under dome and peat pods. I'd just wet the pods and put in the seeds and wait. I cooked a few before I realized that the meat was too hot. Growing is a constant learning process. Like now reading your post I'm realizing that I need to pay better attention to the soil temp when planting. Thanks Woody!

Well, seeds made it........... Less than a week from over younder.......... That's a record.... But I still see no Sweet Tooth rootage...... Oh well... She'll just gt put in the corner of a pot in an unmarked grave............... See if she rises from the dead.......... Now I have to do alittle inventorying aand figgure whats what. I have them puppied to flower soon. And I really want to try this Purple one.. So I'll get something going tomarrow. Till Keepem Green

Hey i tried the paper towel method this time to pop my dark devil auto.. soaked the seed for the evening and before i went to bed folded the white paper towel into a square. Soaked it with ro water and placed it between two plates in my germ box. Seed had cracked and had a tap coming out in the morning. Btw i always shake up my seeds in a tube with sandpaper before i soak em. Was fun sprouting them that way! Glad you got some to pop norcal hopefully we will see something popping out of that grave too.. a zombie sweet tooth lol.
