Osmocote Plus Plant Food: Discuss Its Use With Cannabis Here!

Hmmmm, you got me thinking there Frat. Might be Ironite now that you mentioned it. I will check in the next few days.

Sooooorry guys

No worries bro... I picked up the Ironite at Costco a couple of months back, I like having different stuff on hand just in case of deficiencies. I actually added about a tablespoon of it per 3 gallons of my soil mix last batch. The girls seem happy, so I'll probably keep it in the recipe. Now let me think, how many tablespoons are in a 50 lb. bag?:)

Ironite makes different stuff, make sure you get the Mineral Supplement. Has all the micros except magnesium, which you can supply with epsom salts.

I give them a little each grow too, and supplement with calmag.... I'm in perlite.

well, i've read this whole thread & i'm glad to see that there is some sanity on this site. all i seem to see, watching these grows, is a bunch of people spending a gazillion $$$ on nutes that are nothing but hype. when it takes more than 4 products to grow a weed, i'll quit growing. if u go to mandalay seeds & look at their grow guide u'll see that they don't believe in using all the "additives", unless there is a specific problem. i, too, have been taken in by all the hype (it's easy to fall prey), & finally came to my senses. my modest garden has never looked so good. what the hell is a bud exploder or a shooting powder? sounds like a sat. afternoon at the gun range. to each it's own. PAW-PAW HAS SPOKEN! lol!

:welcome:

Yep. It's a silly little circus they've created for the stoner/hobby grower. It would probably be in my best interest to shut up and not reveal my "secrets."

I'd be growing cheap, platinum quality weed, and my competitors would be growing very expensive weed that may or may not turn out as good as mine, but certainly would cost far more to produce!

On the other hand, I don't think we've scratched the surface on what can be done with our favorite plants and the more people who contract sanity in their approach, the better the quality gets for EVERYONE....which is a good thing overall.

What are you growing with, Paw-Paw?

well, i'm a blackthumb when it comes to soil (that's why i've followed this), tryin' ta learn something. i use protekt, dynagrow, dynabloom(on occasion), cal/mag if needed. i use b-1 to start seedlings. that's about it. & shezam it somehow survives.

high all
i got garden club select (lowes) all purpose plant food(slow release plant food)$3.00:
16-2-14 and micronutrients.
will this work in pirlite hempy?
:nicethread:
ty very much for answer

i think that is made by DYNAMITE. not sure....but somebody on here knows. if u have a camera u should grow a few plants & do a journal. we'll all learn something.

Hey Docbud, long time no chat, have you seen this? It caught my eye at the Home De Pot.

Miracle-Gro® Shake 'n Feed® Tomato, Fruits & Vegetables Continuous Release Plant Food Plus Calcium - Scotts Miracle-Gro

9-4-12 with Micronutrients and added calcium

Feeds for up to 3 months.

For my indoor plants, I'm still working off of big bags of Peter's hydro and Calcinit. I'll be back soon to check out your grow thread.

Hey Z!

Long time, no talk.

That product looks good for sure.
I've only got 4 plants growing right now....I'm in the process of dismantling one grow room, and building another.....way too much work.

Heya All :nicethread:

Finally got some healthy plants in soil now, with OC+, but still noticing the biggest 4 are looking nute starved a wee bit...should I be worrying? Soil was pre-mixed by hand (my hands!) with 2 tbsp. of prills/gallon medium.

Watering as needed with RO/DI spiked with 5ml/gallon Cal-Mag+. Someone wanna pop over to my grow and give me a nudge in the right direction?

Thanks & :peace:

Please help? Leaf problem with OC+ promix grow?

Guys (docbud?),
I'm growing 4 WW plants using LED and 6.5 ph water. Nutes are OC+ and in 100% promix.
My other plants are doing fine but starting a couple days ago there were a couple spots on one fan leaf. Best way to describe is that the top layer (skin of the leaf, whatever that is called) of the leaf is disappearing? It's spreading as these few spots are now growing on the leaf. ALL the other plants are fine in the same conditions and I did a thorough search for pests and don't see any.

Please help? What is it? I think I should cut out that fan leaf yes? I did top this plant and the "Y" shape started nicely, is this stress related? It happened at least a week after topping though so I assume not. It must be nute related (again my ph is okay for all other plants) but I'm using OC+? I did the dosage recommended on this string and it's sprinkled on top of my medium. Thanks.

Are you watering with plain water or something mixed in?

It's plain tap that's I ph. The weird part is that all the other plants which are same breed from same seed bank and same conditions are fine. In fact, this problem is only on this one fan leaf as you can see from picture. I'm also worried it can spread. Will it stress the plant significantly if I just cut this fan leaf off? Thanks.

Hey bro!

Whatever the problem is, have new growth that looks perfect. I'd just let it go and not worry about it.

It almost looks like light burn, which makes very little sense. Just for fun, try moving the pot, or turning it.

Other than this small, insignificant problem, you have gorgeous plants.

You guys seen this yet?

High Hopes at Miracle-Gro in Medical Marijuana Field
Scotts Miracle-Gro Looks to Help People Grow Marijuana - WSJ.com

In an unlikely move for the head of a major company, Scotts Chief Executive Jim Hagedorn said he is exploring targeting medical marijuana as well as other niches to help boost sales at his lawn and garden company.

"I want to target the pot market," Mr. Hagedorn said in an interview. "There's no good reason we haven't."
