Yep, I went all futuristic and got some LEDs. I got them from one of our sponsors *Advanced LED Grow Lights*. Got 4 x 100w ones. So far I love them and I haven't even got to flower yet and that's is their main strength.:cheesygrinsmiley:

That is awesome buddy! If anyone knows that James is going through its you! I was hoping you saw his post and could give him some of your thoughts of what you went through when you retired.

You weren't kidding when you said you were waiting longer before flipping to 12/12 this time around. You are going to have a much bigger harvest than me. Next grow I am thinking about only doing 4 plants and letting them veg much longer like you are doing. Great Job. Really looking forward to see how the longer veg time works for you!

Your right CF. I want to talk to him. Sounds like he wanted to retire but hadn't really realized what being retired is like. He went from man of action to man of not doing much of anything. I'm sure glad that he has growing to look to. :popcorn:
 
yes sir retirement sounds like shangrala. and then reality sets in.
talking to plants dosent always help tho. but it is something!
 
Not sure if I will ever completely retire even if I have the means.

Well, actually he could start another career. I went nights a couple years and got my degree in computer science, worked a couple of years, then started teaching it at the University level. All the while running my own computer company. It's all about living the way you want. I really like being alive.....how bout you? Ramble ramble.:surf:

being alive is where its at.
for the most part I'am happy! I can go build a deck or 2,helps teach the boy to have something in his back pocket in case well you know.
and I get to bring doughnuts to the guys where I used to work with:)
but I feel for JTG its an abrupt ending to what he is used to doing and he's got to do a little soul searching

The ending of a 20 year career is probably almost like loosing a loved one.
What a opportunity to have a retirement income come in so you can do what YOU WANT to do instead of doing what YOU HAVE to do. When I retire I want to be an astronaut!! Or grow weed and think of being out in space! Either one would be great!!

Oh! Man! I was reading about the Marines cutting way back and all ranks are being asked/forcing them to retire. I hope that didn't happen to him. Thanks for your service - boot! That would really suck! :smokin2:

Maybe me and OMM need to talk about computers. I would like to go back to school or get some training of some type with them. But I really don't know what I want to do. I always said that I would like to learn how to fix them. Or maybe some IT work but then don't you have to be a whiz in math? I sick in math. Anyhoo, I could use your help in which way to go, OMM. When you have time, either here or email me.

I feel for James. I have been kind of silent because I feel this is a "man" thing and he could get better answers from you guys. And I do use the term "man thing " loosely for lack of a better word. But my heart goes out to James none the less.

To clarify, the old search engine wasn't working right since the last upgrade. So we replaced it with another, that seems to be working 420 times better. :)
