Laughing, I do have it hid in a very obvious spot......under a light canopy:cheesygrinsmiley:

Just had a sample of her wonderfulness.............OMM, OMM, OMM...my new mantra.

Have camera ready, just waiting for the sun to come up so I can lug her into the kitchen.

BTW, I caught those pink pistils on your ladies. Jealous. I want to see some color on these buds!

WTF dept.

While picking off tiny, tiny buds, I squeezed one, and pollen shot all over my finger tip. Whoa I says, what's this? pollen? Damn thing looked like a tiny flower, pistils and all. The search was on. After an hour, nada. Zero. Couldn't find anymore. I know Wanda's not a hermie, but I have read where females can, when no males are around, produce pollen asexually.

I posted an inquiry in the Budding Cycle section of the Grow Room, looking for others that may have encountered this before. First for me.

I have read the same thing about females doing it at the stage your in. I think its some kind of stress thing that causes it. Its trying a last resort thing for the survival of the species. Hopefully some of the experts will know.:slide:

Still waiting for some feed back on the post, don't know if it's a rare or not. Certainly got my attention. If there are more of them, I can't find 'em, but I take some comfort hearing you read the same thing. If Wanda can't find a man, she just improvises:rocker:

Thanks, once I start taking them I can't stop lol, keep trying for that perfect shot. Still no pistil color (other than some brown), trich's are still crystal clear.

Journals are great, gives us something to do :popcorn: while we wait for our babies to bake our brains:cheesygrinsmiley:

Was it a full on male flower, or just a yellow banana looking pollen sac?

I had a ton of bananas on one plant in my last grow - it was genetic, not stress, as out of four plants, only one just kept popping them everywhere, and it became more frequent towards the end of flowering.

I think that as long as it's just a banana, it's still a female, but if you get a full on flower, then it's a hermi.

You are so far along in flower though, I don't see a problem finishing... but it doesn't take much pollen to ruin those pretty buds, especially towards the end when you'll find tiny unformed seeds in what you thought were really dense buds. PITA.

I think water can help wash off any stray pollen, but that's about all I know.

nice catch on the hermie. i have also heard about asexual reproduction in plants but i dont know if MJ is one of them

I'd have to say light green banana shaped sacs, real tiny. I might have been confused on the flower ID, being so close to a tight cluster of real buds surrounded in pistils. Have to wait and see.
