Hi woodI'll answer both your posts at once.
No pictures yet...soon in the next journal.:grinjoint: I did get enough to last me quite a long time and it smokes great. Well, now I bet Miss J is happy those are really nice lighters and work very well. Good for you. Sounds like it's happy in the wood world.:bravo:

Hi All.
Well, this what I learned and didn't learn in my first grow.

The most important thing I learned is mj will grow no matter how much you screw it up and it is forgiving for your mistakes.
I was so excited when I got my mmj card, I jumped in before I was ready. I thought that I had a plan that would work.
Those of you that followed my grow know that I am a really emotional person, that can be good and bad.. It can propel
you to do things in a hurry and it also can make you very dog headed. Which in my case was good and bad.

I learned that I am not a very good DIY guy. Well, I built 2 grow boxes that under normal conditions would have worked very well,
however I did not have a normal room to grow in. I was in a room that I could not control the output of heat. The room could not be changed
physically and that made things really bad. Even after I realized that, I still went ahead and tried anyway. Glad I did.

Try your best to get the proper tools for your grow. I used very cheap meters and tools, which hurt me to no end.
After the first month I threw my cheap pH meter away and didn’t buy another. Yep, I did this grow without one. Dumb.
The use of RO water helped to no end. When used with organic soil it helps normalize pH. I think the RO water was one of the best things
I did.
Giving my plats nutrients was a real problem since I did not correct the pH of my soil. Burns and all sorts of weird problems.
In spite of all this my plants out grew my grow boxes. I wasn’t going to give up, so outside they went. I put the plants through
some very bad stress doing this. One went hermi on me and had to be killed. The others survived and I continued on.
The plants grew and recovered. I found that I could give them small amounts nutrients at a time and that helped. Two of them
reached harvest stage and I chopped them down with some good and bad results. I harvested one too early and it was mediocre.
The other gave me some great smoke, which shocked me too no end.

The last plant had been through so much stress, that it flowered for 145 days. It also gave me some really good smoke.
Much to my surprise.

In my eyes, I did some awful things to my plants and they still gave me some great smoke. I am very lucky to say the least.

For those who are wondering about my next grow…….things have not changed much…..my room conditions haven't
changed at all, so it will be another battle of conditions. I will do some things differently, like watch my pH with a good meter
and hopefully be able to manage nutrients much better. There still will be stress on my plants which I hope to control much better.

The last thing I have to say is Thanks to all who joined me on this grow. It has been one of the best times of my life.
A big thanks to all the countless people that helped me through this grow all the way to the finish. You gave me enormous help and suggestions
to get me this far. With out your help and friendship I would have failed miserably. A big thanks to 420 being here and providing me
a place to learn and grow.

Watching your grow has been great, place has always felt like a comfortable place to read and space. You are a good host. And even if you circumstances don't allow you ideal situations, you loved them enough that they loved you back. Stubborn bitch really showed that. Great smoke and great quantity...and she never gave up.

You and I both have learned a lot and I know I have tons more to learn.

This grow journal has been a privilege to partake in. :bravo:

Aloha OMM, can't wait til you get your next journal started.

Ok so I cant rep you agin. but its the thought that counts right?..great work on the summary OMM. Its all about the experience process. YOu got you feet wet now its time to do the lil things you noticed you didnt do,in your first grow. Can you do me a favor and upload picts and specs of your boxes. I know you cant modify the room, but I'd like to see if there is some sort of design I can come up w/ to help. Hey who knows, trying never hurt right? I've built a million different boxes for a variety of rooms that cant be adjusted this is whay I ask. Hopefully one of them can help you.

OMM, you did it buddy.. I know you will do great with these next specimens. You will have a better feel of what the plants need and how much to push them. The person you are is always going to be the biggest part of any journal you start here, and that is a good reason why I shall stick to them.

You go on and get your grow on.. and stay positive!
:bravo::bravo::goodluck::goodluck:RoorRipRoorRip

Here they are Butcher
Hi Bucher Here's the pictures you wanted to see.

This is the little box before
Lcab11.jpg

Here is little box with the fans. I replaced the fans with black ones. Exhaust 120mm fan, with two 80mm input fans.

Here is the lil box with door on and lights...the are actually 6 cfls in there now with the old UFO LED.
Each box has 6 coats of flat white paint. The door is light proofed and closes tightly. This actually keeps the heat lower than the other. It intakes and exhuasts air right back it the room.

The Big Box before.

This is the big box painted and two 80mm fans on the top part, One intake and one exhaust.
The bottom has two 120mm fans. Top one is exhausted to a 6" bendable aluminum tube that exhausts out the window. The intake 120 draws air from outside through a window through another bendable 6' tube.

Both boxes have enough input to make the plants in each box wave around and build the stems of the plants.

The shelf has been removed (cut out) to give it more room for upward growth

This box locks tightly and is light proof.
