Happy to see your new one OMM, sad to hear this will be the last I feel as if a close friend is moving out the country to never return and can not call(insert sad face with tears here) maybe my next shell will be near yours on the same beach in the same sand Ill be here watch reading and laughing at the stories and people who make you and your joirnals sacred.

I'll be around, just not journaling any more. Hopefully these 20 girls will give me a g ood stash. That's really cool about the seashells. I will think of you when I see one. Yep, the people actually make my journal, really.

Hi All
Well I promised a Tutorial on Re-potting today, so here it is. You experienced growers are thinking.....why bother....everyone knows how to do that. That's not exactly true. I remember when I first joined 420. I didn't know how to do anything, so this is for all the lookers and people that haven't joined yet or just have joined.
The first thing is to have all the things you need at hand at the start. I will be replanting one of my vegged girls from my tent. They have been vegging for 6 weeks. The plant is in a 4 gallon pot and it will be replanted into a 7 gallon pot.
The first thing I do is place a few clean stones around the drainage holes in the pot.
The next thing I do is fill the pot with soil that has been premixed into the pot. I also make a place for the plant to go by creating a hole in the soil for it.
In all truth you should do this in a very dimly lighted place. Light is not good for roots. This time I'm doing it in twilight just so you can see what to do. Pick up the pot, turn it over and give the pot a couple of hard raps to loosen the plant from the pot, like so....
As you can see the plant is not root bound, but it has followed the contour of the pot. A bit longer and it would be root bound. If this plant was placed in to pot like it is, you would have problems. As is, it would not grow into the new soil. So we need to do a bit of cutting. I use a very sharp blade for this. We are going to cut into the roots, like so.
The next thing I do is cut at least seven cuts around the pot and then cut across the bottom of roots a few times. Now the roots can use the new soil and grow larger.
The pots ready, the roots are ready, so we place the plant in it's new home.
Next we add more soil. I press it down firmly
Since I use OC+ as my nutes, I add it now and mix well with the top soil. When I water the OC+ will release what is needed by the plant.
The last thing I do is add more soil, then ad Hydroton. The reasons I add hydroton is that is adds oxygen to roots and also makes watering much easier.
Now we have 3 Berry Bomb girls ready to go into to the tent. I will show you the Berry Bomb girls in the tent soon.
Last thing I do is clean up my work space and it is ready for something else!

Hi all, Jo and I went out to eat today. We drove to the southern tip of the island mainly because we have not done so in years. The drive is a beautiful one. We went by the rodeo stables, the Polo club and the horse stables, it's beautiful beaches all the way, Boogie boards beaches, the golf course, a great kite flying beach and the dreaded Sandy Beach. It was beautiful.
When we got home, I went next door to tell my neighbor that this would be my last grow. He has a Big Mastiff that is usually in his back yard. Soon as she See's me she starts barking. Actually she is a big sweetie and wants to me to pet her. He comes out and takes her inside. It's a pain in the butt for him.
As I stepped on his porch, I fell flat on my face, hard. He came out and helped me to my feet. I was wounded all over. I told him that this my last grow and why. He was worried about me and I told him "This is why I'm quitting and he just laughed."
Home to nurse Jo. Man, old guys should not fall, take my word for it. I'm OK, just bruised and cut is all and embarrassed big time.
Well, some time has gone by. Looks like I did hurt my left wrist, can't move it w/o pain. Crap..not now!

Looking good buddy! Great tutorial on repotting. There are a few things you do that I don't do. I like the way you cut the roots before replanting to prevent the roots from getting bound.
You keep a clean growspace. I am jealous on how clean your garage looks!!

I am curious about your reasons for ditching the "Air Pots" ? Nice tutorial .....even us old guys have to be reminded of things ! I read in one of the seed explanations to take your clones (cuttings) 20 minutes after watering ....Hmmm makes sense ! Take Care !!

I smoked some Medi-Bomb1 and it really helped ease the pain in my wrist. Glad I'm growing more. THsea helped me clean yesterday, so I didn't have too much to do. I took a bath that's why I look good.

Hi Buddy, we sure do, very careful.
As you can see by the picture of my garage, I still have the airpots, I will probably sell them. It just got to be too much for me to pack them properly. I was going to re-pot one girl to an AirPot, then thought about and deiced not to.
Yep, it is a stress, so watering before hand helps. You take care too!
