OldMedMan's Aloha Journal

Great pictures of the girls and the bird shots were really nice. We get a lot of different birds in the yard but I really like the little hummingbirds. they are so cool. you have a lot of plants. I can see how it could get confusing even as you strip them naked. :cheesygrinsmiley: Hope you and Jo are feeling good and go dry off.

Hi beemerbill. Thanks about the birds and girls. Your right Humming Birds are really cool. Actually all my plants are labeled so, I was joking. The rain just stopped for now. I think it rained 30 straight hours. Supposed to be more starting soon. Bulb!:helpsmilie:

High Buckshot. The only ones that get straight down rain are the Grapefruit Krush and one of the Sweet Black Angels . The rest are under the eve of the house and get rain, but not straight down. I was watching those 2 today and they are standing up fine. Must have been the defoliation that helped them stand it. :)

Hey thanks man.:thumb:

Hey OMM,

It took a couple days, but I'm caught up now. I really hate that this will be your last journal. You must come visit us often, it just won't be the same around here w/o you. Seriously! *the glue* that's you. You said you had some home maintenance to do??? Did you mention what? I missed it. Careful not to overdo...no more falls!

The girls looks very nice, as always. They also look like quite the handful. I don't know how you take care of so many at once. Loved the bird pics...I'm still waiting to see a robin. That usually means winter is over 'round here. I can only dream of the 70's right now, although it was 50 here yesterday...but it's gonna go back to the 30's for a few days after today. Brrr!!! I'm so ready for warm sunny days.

Subbed for sure...it's gonna be a wild ride :surf:

Hi My Beautiful Friend. :high-five:

Wasn't my idea to quit, but Jo's. Our house is a typical Hawaiian house and was built in the 50's. It was high off the ground so it wouldn't get flooded. Then someone added onto it and then built on to it again. Over the years termites have eaten part of our back porch. Not real bad, but they are there. We will tent the house for termites. A very common thing here in Hawaii. After that we will have it inspected. If bad, we will tear it down and build a new one. In Hawaii, it is the land that is expensive and not necessarily the house. Only so much land. I will not be involved in any work.

Once the plants are out, all I do is water, so it's pretty easy to take care of them.:high-five: Getting close to harvesting the first one soon.

Glad you liked the birds, Our little friends.

Hope you see a Robin soon!:high-five:
