OldMedMan Goes Indoors Part 2

I just had a though.... Can anyone miss on a FIM attempt? hmmm... or is that the point of it all?

I think I missed on a few fims. Either way it is a win win. The plant will produce more colas if you miss or don't miss!!

I am not sure if my answer makes sense!! :high-five:

Another one bites the dust!:high-five:

Well, the saga continues it's downward slide.:smokin2::smokin2:

We chopped the Anesthesia today

As you can see,,,not good,,,,,but it's a bit more for the stash. 32 grams wet.

With 2 more to go, I should hit the 2 oz mark! Hallelujah !

Other notes. We finally looked at the roots and soil in the big pots.

The pot that held the Chocolope: The root ball was no bigger than my two hands put together. The rest of the soil had these really ugly slug looking things in it. They were very fat and had lots of legs. I went to get my camera and when I got back they had borrowed into the ground. Gone! I must have gotten these things when the pot was out side. Disgusting things.

The other two big pots were filled with roots.......many, many roots. Looks like that they grew lots of roots, but not too much plant. So much for the big pots indoors.

Not much else to say about this mess. Better days are ahead......I promise!

Slug looking things, as in "Slimy". and with lots of legs?? Maybe millipedes? Those are carnivorous. You had something eating the roots they were eating on I guess... one of the BIG reasons I'm not in soil anymore. While my munchkin loves bugs, having them in the house is undesirable.

Well of course there are better days! You're still kickin' aren't ya!? You got small yield, I had no hope of yield from 5 -males- (key word "had"), but we Grow On! The fact that the smoke is better than you were expecting says something about the love you gave them. Your ability is not in question here.

I say, "Job well done." You played the hand you were dealt, and still came out ahead. You left the table with more than you sat down with. That's saying something. Not a jackpot, but I don't hear anyone complaining about your harvest.

:goodjob: :welldone: :goodjob: :welldone: :goodjob: :welldone: :goodjob: :welldone: :goodjob: :welldone: :goodjob:

I had a saying in high school:
"2 tears in a bucketful. Fu** it, fool!"

Well, the world don't move to the beat of just one drum. What might be right for you, may not be right for some.

You take the good, you take the bad, you take them both, and there you have . . . . My closing statement!

Thanks my friend!

Yep, they were slimy what ever they were. Disgusting things. Yuk! :smokin2::smokin2: No way I wanted one in my house! Patoo!

Even though I'm bitching a bit......I'm not depressed or anything. Just a bit mad at myself, even though I was forced inside, I feel like I should of, would of, could have done better. :high-five:

In OE school we were taught that there are no failures, only that we didn't get to do what we wanted to do at the time we wanted to do it! This is one of those times. :grinjoint:

THsea and I have already started getting ready for the next one. Much better use of my lights and much better air circulation are at the foremost of our plans. Obviously, we will clean the tent very well. Can you say..sterile!:Namaste:

I know buddy...you didn't get diddle out of yours. A real shame. :thedoubletake::thedoubletake: I really felt for you.

lol i just built a power strip light array for spiffy yesterday i cant seem to fit 8 in like the one in my veg room , they are cheap easy and fast kinda like me lol:peace::adore::thumb:

bigirishdoode! Yep easy sometimes other times "what happened?"

I'd like to hear spiffy's take on that fast part! :circle-of-love:

The good part is that I still have the three K's GDP, <<GK>> and Thing2 to look forward to this spring. Hey, and that other that I thought was the SD might actually be Thing1 of the wonder twins! There's a good thought. I'll take a cutting and reveg! The TRIUMPHANT RETURN! if.... but we shall see about that one.

Pop's it will be fine you just have to down size for awhile and just keep yourself in meds. Failure we all have them we just don't accept them. You don't really need but a 3 gallon pot inside. I use 4's mainly. These are plastic's. I know fact I can grow plants in 2 gallon smart pots. It's hard to get plants from seed that will have a nice even canopy, now clones...... Short, bushy, and all grow the same speed. Could make best use of your lites. You could even do 12 small clones just veg for a week and flower. Like a SOG. Well is a SOG. You just need one CFL and a closet and a 2$ bottle of Rootech Gel. Well I know ya got plenty of ideas and I know you'll find one that works out.
That Vintage. Hey that could even be a faster flowerer. Claim 7 weeks finish. Thats cool. I burnt some last nite and it works. Was alittle harsh but was it was covered in crystals thick. Plant sounds good for a fast one. I need to read back and find some pic's. I just wanted to make sure I posted a Hello from 'Us' to ya'll ad Keepem Green

floating six myself today ....two Lucy...two SSOG....a Fresian Dew and a lonely "Jack the Ripper" ('cause it's just great fucking weed) If the JtR is a male....I'm gonna put him to use with a SSOG (maybe bag n dust a branch on the F.Dew too)
win or win....either way:high-five:
Back to the auction (Kississimee) at least it's sunny and eighty all weekend.....maybe even make a dollar or two this week :)
Peace y'all
:thankyou:

Hey Sprout! :high-five:

Down size? You know I'm too hard headed for that. But I am changing my ways. I do have 10 little ones I'm going to grow like a SOG. However I will have a few 3 gal ones too. I'm not getting any younger and I have a ton of seeds. I think you would do the same thing. :)
Believe it or not I have a cheap cloner. Bet you never thought I would say that! We'll see how that works out.

Well, 1 of the Vintage is up, but nothing from the other 4 yet. Slow buggers.
Hopefully, I'll be turning out good meds again soon. :thankyou:

Sounds good to me Chopper. I too will have a Lucy soon. Also another Lucy like plant I'm going to call AsHid, if I can get away with it. Other wise she will be Lucy2. Man, that Fresian Dew is good, good smoke. Like wise JtR. Hope you do get a male.....fun time with a small brown bag. You got it win-win.

Sounds like you having good days....hope you turn a buck or two. :thumb:

Sorry to hear about the little critters in your pots OMM the fruits still look delicious!

:peace:

Hi GodSpeed !:Namaste:

That's what's really kind of funny. Even though I haven't got much off of them......they are all great highs. :high-five: We are talking good here! :bravo:

Hi OMM -

It took me forever, but I think I'm mostly caught up. I have to say, I really to think OG13's suggestion on trying a SOG or 12/12 from seed is spot on - for several reasons. It will make better use of the light and space, you have a few seeds onhand ;), and the plants individually are so much more manageable to work with - sucks to say this, but you and I need to consider such things these days.

I can see some sort of SOG in my future potentially too. I'm playing with coco coir, moms and cloning so that I can make a more educated decision about it as a possible grow style long term.

As you know I didn't get much of a yield from my Chocolope either, but didn't have bugs. Though, ironically, my root zone was about like yours. Not much there. I had a light on roots accident early in my Chocolope's life that she never seemed to fully recover from.
Having said all that, the Chocolope I harvested was even better than Lucy (for me - though Lucy is pretty awesome), and I will definitely grow more Chocolope. I only have one seed left though, and I want to get comfy cloning and maintaining a mom before I germ her, as I intend to keep a Chocolope mom going forward...

Don't sweat the yield if you have enough meds, (and I hope you do). You were dealt a crappy hand throughout this grow, and made lemonade out of kumquats. What else can you do? Indoor growing is a radically different beast, add to that insane lighting bills, and switching environments midstream was bound to cause issues. I am still pissed about how much they rip you off for your electricity. Bastards. I was impressed with your creative solution on the lighting, but it's a bummer it didn't produce better.

Glad to hear that the bud you've harvested is really good. Aside from yield, are you still liking Chocolope - what are your thoughts on her?

Hi to Jo, and hope you both have a stellar weekend! :)

Hi to Jo, and hope you both have a stellar weekend! :)

Hi Buddy I just wrote you a book and poof it was gone. I hate that!

I am doing a SOG this time with 10 plants, all from seed. There will be some others too. People will think it will be a sacrilege because of some the seeds I'll be using.
I am making some major air flow mods to my tent. It will be easier to use and I will have more controllable lighting.

Chocolope is some of the best I've smoked. I have some more of her seeds, but will use them in a future grow.
As far as pain meds for me, there are two that really work well. They are Frisian Dew and Wild Thai. I will grow more of these for sure.
This next grow will be half the tent as a SOG and the other half some good strains. Looks like I'll be cloning too. Not ready yet for coco, but I see you are learning about it.

About Jo and I. We are having a renewed love affair, the last three days have been great. Last night she just walked up and gave me one very sweet kiss. We giggle allot now. It's been wonderful.

Awesome. Love the plan for the 1/2 SOG, and cloning. That's super cool about you and Jo. Best news I've heard all day! :thumb:

Oh, and may have to give one of those strains a try, you sure steered me right on the Lucy. :bong:
