i like your industrious approach to lighting, im willing to bet the lil' ladies turn out excellent, i keep being amazed at what cfl's can do i have tomatoes,basil,thyme all indoors under cfl doing great i'll have fresh vine picked "maters" in the dead of winter!! thanks to cfl!!

That's just great. Your own indoor veggies. All year too!. I've been doing cfl's for years. Nothing like them.

The Story Continues..................................................................................

Tao and I headed to Monterrey the next day. It was about 4 pm when we arrived . All I had to do was show my ID card to get on base. We went to the Guest House and signed up for a small apartment. For a few days. We bought a news paper and started looking for a house to rent. I was still going by my original plan to go cheap until I knew what I was going to making in total. I could always upgrade if I had to.

There was a little town next to Fort Ord named Marina and I found a little 2 bedroom place that would do for now. On one side was a small old church and on the other side was a Harley builder, who had 6 hell raising geese in his back yard. He also sold pot.

I had the utilities turned on and had a phone hooked up. Took Tao over and got him an ID card so he could get on base and buy things. I also went by the Hospital and actually got in and got Tao a prescription for a pair of glasses. He needed them.

I went over the transportation office and arranged to have my household goods. delivered.. I had no idea what was in them, I guess RS had packed them. They delivered them the next day. I couldn't believe they were so quick....I was still going by my experience in Greece which took 2 months. Looked like she had sent everything to me.
That didn't sound good.

When the phone was working I called Tony and told her what was happening and explained we would be in a small place for while. It didn't seem to bother her.
In fact she was excited. An hour later she called back and said she and Pic would be landing in San Francisco the day after tomorrow. Oh! Yeah!

The first night at the new house, I just parked in the driveway and didn't put it in the garage. Next morning the battery was gone. Welcome to the neighborhood..

I'm not sure what went on in Tony's flight over, but she got off the plane in a really bad mood. Pic grabbed me and wouldn't let go, which I loved. We kind of drove in silence to Monterrey. What was this all about?

When we got to the house, she took one look and said she wanted to go to a hotel. Oh! Boy! This is bad, I thought. I left Tao at the house and took her to the Holiday Inn.....not good enough, so I took her to the best place in Monterrey. I spent the night and it was OK, but strange. Next day we went all over Monterrey and down to the restaurant in Big Sur.

I may as well just say she stayed 3 more days and then went back to Italy. Her parting remark was "That Americans are pigs", Much too informal for her.
There I was thinking "What the hell just happened ?". Tony was gone for good. Well crap! My mind was spinning. Life had thrown me another curve. What next?

The last week or so......I've had a lot of Doctor appointments and robbing peter to pay paul .... to pay my outrageous light bill. Gulp!

Dr. appointments went well, except my shrink, who thinks I'm nuts.

Don't give me that......your plants speak for themselves!

Tell you what....if these girls finish well....I am really going to re think lighting.

ADVANCED is exactly as advertized. I set up a spot in an unused paint room/closet at the shop. I had the Super Skunk already and a couple Cali Wildfire plants were still small enough to transport (driving around with 3ft plants sticking outta 5gal buckets is not for the feint of heart either **a youth spent, bringing bales from the shrimp boats {just offshore} in a flat black 23footer will give you stout nerves and a steady hand under fire......still .....hahahahahahahahahahaha.....fux to 'em)
All are in full stinky bloom. They sure seem to love this freakin' light! I am ordering another of these 300wt Diamond dealies as soon as the holiday-spend-you-broke-season is over. It seems to actually cost about what 3 100wt bulbs would cost to burn. My swimming pool pump costs several times what this thing does....an no one ever uses that stupid pool.
"Told 'er it was a dumb idea".....I can't surf or ride my wing in a pool....I've a perfectly good ocean right over there. I'll never use it...unless I fall in. Total waste of 25 large. Then again...25k is cheap for a satisfied Ms and the quiet that brings
Look into Advanced, Ompah. It may just settle your dilemma (straight up roasted seedlings at 20in! This thing throws some light bruddah)

Your a trip chopper ! 3 ft plants in 5 gallon pots.......you nut........fun though wasn't it? You just confirmed what you used to do.......I had my thoughts along those lines.

If what you say is true....check your light bill......that light sounds like it would work for me. It sounds fantastic. Now to find an extra $ 800.

I still don't know what to think of the whole thing when she was in Cali with me that short period of time. She did constantly complain about how we Americans dress. Jogging suits...cut offs...on and on. I think she got off the plane with a negative attitude. I haven't ever called her and she has been silent too.
So it goes. Would have been nice...........I also don't think she expected me to be so poor on an E-6's pay.

My father in law is a vegan. Have you ever tried the tofurkey? It really does taste like flavored rubber!
I lost the job of cooking the real turkey when I accidentally cooked it upside down with the backside up. Worst turkey ever. Next year I am cooking a correct real turkey.
