Size of light? CFL 26w.
Is it aircooled? Small fan.
Any Pests ? No.
How often are you watering? Every three or four days.
Type and strength of ferts used? Going to continue using Miracle Grow rose food.


Bucket Size - 8gal. "buckets".
Medium - soil
Lights - 12 26w CFL's-2x dual spectrum, 6x 2700k and 4x 5500k
Nutrients - M/G rose food.

Back at it again

I trimmed the fan leaves last week and did a little more today 06/04/11. Switched the timer to 12/12 today and gave my plants a good drink of water.

I have one plant in straight desert sand and it's doing exceptionally well, so I topped it and so I'm going to try and replant the top as a clone. Key word: try.

If I get a male in the bunch I'm going to try and pollinate the females to get more seed

Second from the left plant has HUGE fan leaves.

I put the two middle ones in a tote for now because they werent holding any moisture at all. But the one on the far left is really taking off in that yard sand. If it flowers good I would just need to buy potting soil for starting.

Looking pretty healthy. Now why can i not find myself those y shaped sockets...

Do you find the full spectrum of light to be more efficient than going heavy on blue for veg? Have you experience with both?

Holy crap, those are coming along beautifully. How far along are you? 5 weeks or so? Im hoping to have a complete harvest by the middle/ end of august as itll be moving time. That gives me 10 to 12 weeks. Any tips for a novice outdoor grower to have an earlier bud time?

Howdy back at cha, thank you very much for looking in on my grow FGG. I found my Y sockets at home depot, and my local hardware store. They're usually in the lighting/lamp isle. I like the full spectrum so far, no experience with full spectrum; until now. My first two grows were straight up blue for veg. and red for flower.

Thanks for stopping in c4nt0f3r. Approximately 10 weeks veg. and 6th day of flower. Sorry bro no tips for outdoor grows, never done one but want to. If anything I would suggest finding a place where you can force flower (12/12) under artificial lighting.

I moved the smallest plant up closer to the light. I'm going to replant it in desert sand too once I go out and get some more.

I have no idea what these are (pre flowers?). Aren't thet supposed to be white? Not concerned, I've just never seen brown "preflowers" before. If that is what they are.

Well, The one in the desert sand was a boy. And I kept one more boy.......But I pulled him for the pollen. Anywhoo heres his pics.

I had saved some male pollen pods from one of my chopped males, I think I am going to pollinate two of these colas because this girl is a MONSTER. Any advised on when I should pollinate them? At this point I'm having to water her every two or three days, and using a high P and K fertilizer every two weeks. I had gotten some seeds from the plant that died and will probably try ang germinate then soon. Sucks that I'm down to one plant, but This one is looking pretty damn awesome. I think I like the one main cola instead of topping. Just seems like they grow faster than topping, but that's just me.

I dropped four seeds into some water to germ and hopefully get a few more girls.

(Below) Pics taken on 08-26-11. I dropped four seeds in water and all four sprouted tap roots. So I put all of them in 6in. pots on 08-27-2011. If these start off good I'll probably start a new journal, mabe lol.

(Below) Pics taken today, 08-29-11. Just some comparison shots of her top cola next to a water bottle.

"Petunia 2" under her lights. I moved them about an inch or so more away because her flowers seemed to be getting dry. I figure with 12 lights on her it would be ok to move them back a little.

I was thinking of using a molasses mixture but there are alot of little sugar ants looming around. Mabe if I can keep them under control I'll try it.

Nothing new with Petunia 2. Still watering her about every 3 days. 3 out of the 4 seeds I germd' sprouted seedlings, hopefully they do good.

Petuina 2 had some seed pods below a couple of colas. So I figure she must have gotten pollinated too. So I started flushing her, and will porbably chop her in about two weeks.

I had chopped Petunia 2 last night (09-21-11). She wasn't as frosty as I thought she'd get, but she smelled amazing. My fingers and scissors were super sticky after trimming though.
